Journeyer's Change

Ignoring the other comments about a certain few thousands years old beauty restraining her urges to mate with him at his early teenage years, as it couldn't be more tacky, Yun Beishang's state slowly calmed down as his eyes darted around while KC simply calmly looked at him already without any visible emotion on his face nor eyes.

“Please, sit down. There is…still a lot to cover about all of this, Yun Beishang.” KC said, his words and hands trying to soothe him so as to continue, but Yun Beishang first only looked at him with sharp eyes before slowly coming to calm himself down. With his eyes rolling a bit, Yun Beishang adjusted his bermudas and long sleeved shirt before comfortably sitting back down lazily.

“Nora, she…how do I make up for it?” Left with little to no reason inside his head, Yun Beishang truly had to claim himself down to endure, otherwise, he might as well intern himself into an asylum for a little while;though there weren’t any of those at the KATARINA-1 mothership.

“Just get stronger.” Responded KC with a casual smile and an easy going aura all around him, looking like fucking nothing of the mysterious and incomprehensibly powerful person that he just got an image of from Yun Beishang’s eyes.

Yun Beishang: “...”

“So…Cindy, is she…” Yun Beishang deliberately didn’t complete his words as he dragged them on and looked at KC inquisitively, to which the latter rose his palm to stop the former and immediately answered in that calm and seemingly serious tone. “She is also not human, indeed. And in fact, she is a distant relative of Little Nora, for as Cinders is not only a Succubus as well but also a member from the Phoenix Race that reigns over all other Phoenixes across the Existences.”

“Okay, now, let me tell you about the existence so that we can wrap this one topic up.” KC said without interruption, as Yun Beishang was deeply in wonderment and even if he wanted to ask Krayeke about what the hell did Cinders’s origins really meant, he would still have no fucking clue about it even if told about it directly and detailedly.

“As I’ve told you, and possibly have heard from others, I am an existence. This is one that is, supposedly, the next incredible step beyond a being. Or rather, the one that comes after, but it is not really like so. For example, an entity needs an Essence attainment to become, but the quantity of beings across all Existences in this Universal Land is as about that of dozens for each Existence.”

“Now, for your clearance of mind; there is a difference between Existence and an existence. An Existence is basically where all life resides in. Think of it like the Universe itself, galaxies upon galaxies that form an Universe and from it, Universes that are connected to one another, making an Existence.”

“Then, an Universal Land has a plethora of such Existences, but even as this is the case and even as many people can cross through Universes depending on their technological advancement as well as their own individual or adjoined power. And even as only  few between the endless beings residing and inhabiting each Existence can cross over from one Existence to another. Basically, one needs to be a being for accomplishing such  a thing.”

“Then, an Universal Land has never been known for others to cross over from one to another. Well, maybe there was one, but that is, as I have said before, an old myth with no authenticity at all. In fact, is this old myth that has been long taken as a joke for even most existences that there hasn’t been any sighting of anyone chasing after it for epochs. Oh, epochs are… well, basically a ton of eons. Let’s not get into that rabbit hole, however.”

“On the other hand, the existence, that is also used for me as well. This one word and ‘title’ is that which is only for those who have created themselves either an Existence or have formed a power in all Universal Lands. Those who have created an Existence itself are those who wield power incomparably vast and focused in the governing of life itself. While those who become an existence by themselves are naturally stronger and with less possibility of being killed.”

“You see, Yun Beishang, even as someone that is still far behind becoming can live forever as long as they don’t suffer any kind of misfortune or accident, even Existences themselves can dim out and die, let alone existences, beings and so on. The only thing that has been known to be eternal are the Universal Lands, but that’s also coming from the old myth I’ve spoken to you about, so ignore it.”

“Cinders is a little girl whose parents have also perished, unfortunately, her egg was given to me when I was going through that Phoenix Race’s Existence. I then sent it over to this Universe and hatched it a few years later, she is in fact an actual 16 year old girl so, hmm.”

Yun Beishang: “...”

Yun Beishang was indeed speechless with such a comment, there was so much bullshit coming out of nowhere so suddenly, but then there was this remark from Krayeke as he looked at Yun Beishang with an unknown meaning in his eyes. Getting such a casual and most befitting remark to that of New Earth rather all that coming from universes and whatnot, it is a bit difficult to adapt.

“Wait…” But then, how could Yun Beishang be nonplussed for more than a few seconds to these developments? He immediately caught on KC’s words and directly asked without needing to ponder at all, “You said that you sent Cinder… as an egg…to this Universe, to planet New Eart, right?”

“Yes, I did. Hm, hm. No need to be so archaic in your words, speak it as you will it.” KC responded with a little bit of a smirk as he took another sip of pure crystal water.

‘Oldy, don’t you see I’m already stunned at the fact that Cinders was born from hatching from a so-called half-Succubus and half-Phoenix’s egg?’ Yun Beishang thought, with a light fake smile, without showing any signs of is thoughts to the KC who was now sipping on water. With a deep breath in, Yun Beishang continued, “Then, you surely weren’t here…does that mean that you are…not…here?”

“...” KC was non committal  to Yun Beishang’s words, a bit baffled that he had to answer this questioning so soon. But after sighing mentally, he answered in truth. “What you’re seeing right now, ‘this’, it is merely a clone.”

Yun Beishang: !!!!

The fuck indeed, to think that the man he, Yun Beishang, had been speaking to turned out to be quite the incomparaly clone of the real KC? Dafuq? Yun Beishang’s eyes almost went out from their sockets as he processed this information, but before he could even begin to calm himself down, KC sneak attacked him with even more improbable words and concepts.

“Truth is, Nora, even with half her power restrained as well as using the other half to restrain her urges of you, she could still beat me, this clone, to death at once whenever she wanted. Ahem. But since she had part of her brain and her soul given to you for healing purposes, then, she can only beat me after a few dozens of minutes after fighting. Yup, that is how amazing a being is.”

Yun Beishang: (;゚Д゚)〣 ( ºΔº ) 〣(゜ロ゜)(゚д゚;)(; ꒪ö꒪).

“W-wha-what the hell?!” What the hell indeed, Yun Beishang was even more speechless, nonplussed and completely gone overly silly at once, all of his life was now meaningless and he deserved to die. Well, that was an exaggeration popping up inside his head for a moment there, but still…all of this was kinda too crazy for anyone to accept. Wait until he could tell his women about it…

“And… and what of Zyv?” Finally, Yun Beishang asked the question that has bothered and worried him for a long, long time. Ever since he knew of Zyv, and her possible relation with his sister as well as the completely new and different body structure that he had ever seen even before consolidating his First Form.

“Oh…” KC made a surprised reaction with his eyebrows jumping and remaining up for a second or two, his eyes became softer and his mouth wanting to produce a long sigh, finally doing so as he then spoke. “Sigh…Zyv’s Clan… they are, at the very least, scarier than Cinders’s Phoenix Clan. Her lowliest guard and servant, Fang, do you remember him?”

Yun Beishang: !

At once, Yun Beishang became limp with his body sitting down staggering on the spot in circles. Images of an old man taking care of them, of the second person he could call ‘grandpa’ without there being remorse and hatred and as the grandpa made so much for himself and his sister…Yun Beishang now truly became lost after he heard KC’s words.

“What about him, then?” Softly asked Yun Beishang, going back on his thoughts of being ‘evil’ and ‘horrendous’ to KC in this Q&A sort of thing. And KC, as if knowing exactly of these thoughts and notions, merely grinned and drank up the rest of his pure crystal water in his glass before responding candidly.

“Fang was a dying oldie delegated as Zyv’s servant, he was dying and wanted nothing more but to accomplish his cherished young lady’s wish and desire. To move out from her ‘jail-like room’ and to find the world by herself. But both he and I knew that such a thing was totally stupid, even more so as Zyv’s Clan has quite a few existences as their enemies. Though they don’t fear them, the outgoing of Zyv’s outside her clan would be just doom itself.”

“But, a few tens of billions of years ago, when I discovered this Universe in such a…way that I could never fathom…I also ended up being marveled by it. Hence, why I ended up convincing Fang that she would be secure in this Universe, it is quite vast and has quite the strong potential to grow strong, just that it is so undeveloped that even the poorest of planets on the poorest of galaxies would disdain this Universe with all reason.”

“But that wasn’t enough, so I could only bring Fang with me once I finished having some preparations done. Which is those last few years that Fang was with you, he was going to die, Yun Beishang. He lived only to serve her young lady’s wish and longing, but when he found you and your sister…he was like me, marveled at the prospect of how such a…you and her, could ever exist.”

“He wasn’t that strong, way below Ellie’s stage, very capable of dying from age itself. But even then, he changed his plans, didn’t return to his young lady and instead, stayed back here on this planet for keeping you and your sister safe, Yun Beishang. Honor him, his hopes, and his unwavering loyalty.”

Yun Beishang was all with dried lips by the time KC reached this point, a sigh finally came from the former’s nostrils as he felt his entire body being freed from… well, ‘something’. But he did not utter a single word, only waiting for KC to continue, which he didn’t fail to do.

“As for Zyv, it was the day that Fang died that…he sent his young lady the signal to finally get away. It was that very same day that Zyv arrived at your sister’s world that she was able to cope with the grief of knowing you’re dying, in pain. Even then, when you recuperated, thanks to Nora’s selflessness and utter… devotion, infatuation for you…she also felt it and had a better time living thanks to you. Ironic, I suppose.”

“Zyv slowly came to see your sister as her most beloved relative, becoming her adopted sister right away. It was a good thing that from how hurt your sister was and from how enraged the Crestfallen Industry showed their sight after a little, extensive clean up on our ranks that they dared not bother her. Hence, why Zyv was undiscovered until a couple of years ago. She has always been there for your sister, and with time, ended up being entirely smitten by how your sister would talk about you. Such a pair of silly, young girls.”

“Hm, indeed.” Yun Beishang half-snorted in a cheerful demeanor involuntarily from his nostrils at the end of Krayeke’s words, his eyes lowered and filled with nostalgia and such warm that even Krayeke himself felt surprised about. KC opened his mouth again as this time, he was the one asking. “So tell me now, which Form are you at right now? Heh, let me tell you, your-”

“Second Form.”

“!!!!!!!” KC abruptly stood up from his office’s chair, the muffled sounds of it being dragged on the ground by his forceful motion and then colliding against a bookshelf sounded out as Yun Beishang’s eyes glanced upwards to see this comical sight of KC. “What now?”

“What now, he says, hah!” KC repeated Yun Beishang’s words from his question with wide eyes and a slightly agape mouth, he then slowly came to his senses as he sat back down onto his chair, which moved by seemingly telekinesis back to where it is supposed to be. “You know, boy, you weren’t supposed to have such a life.”

After making a slight pause, sitting more comfortable on his office’s chair as if what was next would be the shocker news of them all, KC then breathed deeply in before quickly letting go as he began to speak in a casual but stern and sincere tone. “YOu weren’t supposed to be saved, nor to wake up 1 year after falling unconscious and about to die. Later on, you weren’t even supposed to live an ordinary life, even if at a lower level than most and in such a way that you did back then.”

Cringing a ton to the ‘back then’ words, Yun Beishang only made a few grimaces with his lips as he continued on listening attentively, KC’s words were pretty powerful already.

“Instead, you were to awaken in an unknown dump, then, you would slowly come to become used to and treat as if having an ordinary routine the act of murdering, robbing, blackmail, torturing, raping, terrorism and whatnot. To be a person who even Specialists wouldn’t even be able to catch a trail from, slowly, making your way back into a strength that would grow enough to exterminate all Founding Clans in about 30 years from the moment of your ‘fall’.”

Giving Yun Beishang a few seconds to process, KC then continued in a marveled, honestly glad voice. “But it was not so, as Nora interrupted that path, from which she knew very well it would just happen. Instead, from having an ending where you would rescue your sister and she would accept you wholeheartedly, to where you will be able to slowly but surely become an existence once again and then leave this world…you instead lived an extremely different life.”

“You met Ellie early on, she also began disobeying my orders, but I’m glad she did. Without her stupid moves on you, you might’ve forgotten what a female’s genuine attraction to you is like, and not jus a horny one or a bored one. So I respected her and Nora’s actions later on, allowing Nora to once again ‘publicly’ work for the Crestfallen Industry again.”

“Besides that, as Cinders hatched from her egg, I became softer as well. At the end, I could only let Nora bring Miss Natalia to the hospital you were sent to after gaining the Evil God’s Godhood. The Evil Saint Class. Katia’s findings on a husband she accepted was also news to me, you are quite the lucky man, boy.”

“But… tell me, Yun Beishang…” KC then suddenly turned mysterious, giving the ‘boy’ quite half a scare, as he then heard the ‘oldy’ say. “Do you think you are not deserving of such? Or that your Bloodline is just that, a Bloodline?”

“...More or less.” Yun Beishang didn’t plan to answer that question at all and merely just nodded, but just as he was about to finish his nod, an idea struck him as he halted his nod and then spoke while finishing his nodding motion.

“Wrong, kid,” KC immediately responded to Yun Beishang’s answer, he then got closer in on to the device he was being recorded before shocking Yun Beishang yet again. “Because, you boy…were actually born as someone already as an existence!”

Yun Beishang: !!!!!

With nothing being capable of describing how he felt at this moment, be it words, expressions, change in colors, reactions or feelings; Yun Beishang remained still and unmoving with not even his eyeballs rotating around on their eye sockets. KC nodded after a little while and continued.

“But for some reason, a part of you never wanted to use that power at all, not even for getting out of the Founding Yun Clan and setting yourself free. However…2 years later, when your sister was born, that power suddenly began to emerge, stronger and stronger, purer and purer. From what seemed to be the little girl with the most talent of all humans on New Earth, your choice to embrace your own power was what ended up protecting her, Yun Beishang.”

“...” Feeling a bit empty on his heart and chest, Yun Beishang refused to show the slightest of emotions nor reactions, he only focused himself to hearing the rest of KC’s explanation on what he himself couldn’t even know of.

“And when the day came that you realized you started to embrace that power too late, it was indeed, too late as you gave all of that up for the sake of protecting her one last time. Even then, sigh, Yun Beishang; you would still live it out and raise back up again. Aren’t you actually so amazing?”

“...” Yun Beishang, as always, said nothing as he only darted his eyes around, obviously not caring of what he’s lost and only analyzing KC’s words. Similarly, KC stopped speaking as if all his words were finally taken by Yun Beishang and had nothing else to do anymore.

Only after a long while of ‘manly silence’, did KC spoke again, “Someone born as an existence, and one that could just do whatever they wished with it, as well as with still having a growth rate never before seen…Yun Beishang, you are but one of a kind through all epochs, even your sister is so as well. And it come from nowhere as well, this is just the natural and most absolute birthing of… a ‘Forefather’ like you.”

“And if I’m not wrong, the coupling with your own blood, you sister…is also speeding up that recovery. That should be the reason of why you have been able to form your own Second Form so fast…so insanely fast! And at the same time, you are a perfect incubator for even normal people, Yun Beishang! If you continue to mate with others, as long as you reach the Fourth Form and they attain their Essence in-game, then they would be able to do the same as you and be given the strengths that they’ve gained in Rising Essence’s Universe.”

“You, Yun Beishang, are but something that will surpass me so easily and earlier than what it took me to become an existence. Oh, I may have forgotten about this, but as for how many existences there are per Existence. It is usually between 10 to 20 mostly. And as for how this Universe is special, I don’t know why, but it is like it is always in movement and never ceasing to be; everywhere, anywhere, whenever and at all times.”

“I see…” Yun Beishang said as he casually stood up, obviously hinting at KC that he was now leaving. But KC didn’t feel any discomfort, for as Yun Beishang would never behave pettily. Instead, as Yun Beishang stood up, KC asked out again with a warm voice but in a concerned tone.

“The death of an entire Demon Race, all in your hands, have you never really wondered yourself as to why you are not crumbling to pieces right now?”

KC gave the boy no other chance, and simply finished with a light tone as he said, “This, is your answer.”

“...The Demon Race,” Yun Beishang stood on the spot for a while before turning around the upper section of his torso, along with his shoulders as he then asked KC with an expressionless face. “Were they really supposed to die? Couldn’t they have…saved themselves? Only Adorevia’s death was meaningful, even with the Defense Against the Gods Tower, it should’ve been already filled long ago.”
