The three of them were supposed to have dinner at the restaurant that Markus recommended, but Lucille was too exhausted from playing in the pool all day to wake up. Soraya suggested that Noah and Jess should just go have dinner outside, and she and Aadir would stay with Lucille and they would just order room service if Lucille is hungry, which according to her was unlikely since Lucille once fallen asleep usually woke up the next morning.
Hence, Jess and Noah took the opportunity to dress up and go out for an unplanned dinner date with just the two of them.
Noah wore a soft purple dress shirt over his pants and black leather shoes, a watch on his wrist, and his boyish charm, which made Jess's heart pitter-patter the entire night. She wore a black dress that hugs her curves and has a slit on her left thigh, high enough to keep Noah entertained all night.
The restaurant that Markus recommended was located in a two stories old traditional house, with huge columns on each balcony, offering the view of the city across a river. The place looks magical. And when Noah saw the place, he asked if the two tables next to them were occupied for the night. When the server said no, Noah requested for the place to be closed just for them.
Jess crocked her brow at Noah's request.
He pulled her to his chest and whispered to her ear as his hand slid at the small of her back. "I want a quiet and private date with you tonight."
"You know that I had booked this restaurant with Lucille in mind, right?" she asked, teasing.
He gave her a low throaty laugh that sent shivers down to her lower abdomen. The promise of a quiet and private dinner date with Noah made her twist her toes in her open-toe three-inch heels in excitement.
"But my offspring isn't here. And as much as I adore her, I'm happy I can have you all for myself."
She circled her arms around her waist as she glanced up to stare at Noah's eyes. "She won't be happy to hear that from you."
Noah's hand slid up in her back, his palm drawing circles as it went up. "Because my child, just like me, was enamored and bewitched by you, minx," he whispered, dropping a soft kiss on the tip of her nose.
Jess giggled when Noah maneuvered her to their table and sat her down to the chair that a server already pulled for her. The man in a tux was too quiet as he stood a foot away from the table, that one would forget he was there.
Noah gave the man a nod of dismissal, as he pushed Jess's chair forward. Their food was already served at the table with a bottle of wine being chilled on a tray stand next to their table.
Scanning the table and making sure that they have everything they need, the server quietly stepped back and closed the balcony door, giving Noah and Jess all the privacy they needed.
Noah moved his plate to the side and picked up Jess's place and cut her steak for her.
She smiled and grabbed the bottle of wine from the wine stand and poured them a glass. She was putting the wine bottle back to the wine bucket when Noah offered her a piece of the steak he cut.
Jess happily opened her mouth and her eyes widened. "It's so good," she said after chewing the piece of meat.
Noah tasted the meat from Jess's plate and agreed.
"Don't eat my share," Jess took her plate from Noah who chuckled and bumped her forehead lightly with the end of his fork.
"You are such a child."
She rolled her eyes at him. "Look who's talking."
He just laughed and cut his own steak as he sipped his wine.
Both the food and the view were excellent. Their conversation flows smoothly as they update each other about what they have been doing while they are apart.
When Noah saw the bottle of wine that was already half-empty, he asked, "do you want us to get another bottle?"
Jess shook her head. "No. This is enough. I ate a lot," she said, looking at her clean plate. She grinned as she looked up to Noah, "I would be so sleepy if we have more wine." She stood up with her glass and walked to the balustre of the balcony.
Noah grabbed the bottle of wine and followed Jess. He put the wine on the balcony ledge and snaked his arm around her waist, pulling her inside his arms.
"I'm thinking of making sure you are drunk so I can have my way with you," he whispered.
It didn't matter that Jess couldn't see Noah's eyes as her back was plastered on his chest for her to know that his eyes were twinkling with a playful streak.
She chuckled. "Tiefebancher, you never needed alcohol to have your way with me."
Noah's laughter echoed through the stillness of the night. His chest was shaking and he wrapped both of his arms around her, bending down to kiss her neck. He drawled, "Well, ain't that the truth," running his tongue along the skin of her neck, playful nipping at her skin, which quickly became hot despite the cold breeze of the night.
"I wonder if you'll let me have my way with you tonight…" his hand slipped between the slit of her dress and squeezed her thigh, "...here." He bit the soft skin of her ear and tugged it between his teeth before running the tip of his tongue around her lobe.
Jess swatted Noah's hand that was moving dangerously in her exposed thigh. She turned around and flung her arms around his neck and gave his naughty lips a kiss. "Dance with me, Tiefenbacher."
Noah happily obliged. He pulled her closer to his body and started humming the song she would always request from him and swayed her body inside his arms.
Jess pressed her cheek on his chest and closed her eyes, feeling the gentle night breeze, his soft voice and the beating of his heart against her ears.
'Life is beautiful..' A contented sigh escaped her lips as she moved to Noah's body.
