After the director raised his hand and made an ‘okay’ gesture, Liang Xincheng finally breathed a sigh of relief and immediately walked back to the director to watch the playback on the screen. He repeated the scene just now several times, playing a scene in which he awkwardly and helplessly comforted the emotional family of the victim. Because the expression was not right, it took several reshoots to finally satisfy the director.

“This time is already very good. The expression has been reduced and it looks much better. It’s not as fake as before. Here… it would be better to pause when saying this line.”

The director patiently explained to Liang Xincheng that he was very satisfied with Liang Xincheng. Before getting in touch with Liang Xincheng and just looking at his appearance, he thought he was arrogant and difficult to communicate with. A month after shooting, he actually found that this child was actually very humble and very good at learning. He was also very serious about memorizing lines as well as had a very high expectation on himself. It was not easy for a popular fresh meat to have such a dedicated attitude as Liang Xincheng, so he was more than happy to teach him.

Liang Xincheng stared intently at himself on the small screen, nodding earnestly when he heard what the director said. After a little hesitation, he suggested: “Why not shoot again, I want to try to do the best.”

The director smiled helplessly and patted him on the shoulder: “Okay, you kid pursue perfection more than me. If you want to try it, then do it again.”

Liang Xincheng smiled; what could he do if he didn’t work hard? He didn’t have the family background like Ding Yao, nor the talent like Xie Qinfeng. He was born to eat this bowl of rice. He couldn’t even compare to Xia Yuanhang in terms of luck. He could only work harder than everyone else.

It had been half an hour since this scene was shot and finally the most satisfying effect was achieved. Liang Xincheng was very happy. He thanked the director and went to the dressing room to change clothes for the next scene.

Passing by the lounge dedicated to Xie Qinfeng, he saw the door was ajar, leaving a gap, Liang Xincheng subconsciously looked over there. Ding Yao closed his eyes and leaned against the sofa facing the door. He seemed to be asleep. Xie Qinfeng sat beside him, tilting his head and looking at him intently.

Liang Xincheng stopped in his tracks, thinking that the two of them were being too careless. After a while, he turned on his mobile phone camera and pressed the camera when Xie Tanfeng approached Ding Yao. The last picture was frozen at the moment when their lips touched.

He didn’t have any extra thoughts, he took the picture by accident. Before leaving, he kindly helped the people inside to close the door tightly.

Back at the hotel after work in the evening, Liang Xincheng took a look on Weibo. The birthday blog he posted yesterday had a record of likes and comments and many fans sent him private messages to express their love.

Liang Xincheng was very happy. He had received very little love since he was a child, and he also had few friends. Even if these fans who said they liked him, loved him, and supported him forever would go to others after a few months or years and say the same to them, he was already very satisfied.

Even though he initially entered this industry only for a silly thought, after so many years down the road, he had gained far more than expected. He liked acting, he had a lot of people like him, he also earned a number of money that he did not dare to think about before. For that amount of money, those things that went wrong were nothing.

Liu Fan sent a WeChat message asking him how he was getting along with Xie Qinfeng these days. Liang Xincheng helplessly replied: “You haven’t given up yet?”

“Didn’t some fans go to visit the set yesterday? I saw the photos they took. The crew held a birthday party for you. Is Xie Qinfeng also there?Just stand by your side, ba?”

Liang Xincheng’s eyes almost rolled to the sky: “Why do you have the same brain circuit as those CP fans? Just being in the same frame can give you feelings? Sorry ah, Movie King Xie didn’t treat me well, he didn’t even eat yesterday’s birthday cake. He was dragged by the director.”

“He doesn’t treat you well? Why?”

“How do I know, maybe I’m born to be unpopular.”

“How can it be, ah. but it’s not impossible to hype this photo. You really don’t want to?”

“Just shut up, don’t make trouble for nothing.” Liang Xincheng thought about the photos that were still lying in his mobile phone album, and felt that he would not provoke Ding Yao again unless he had a brain twitch.

“What about Xia Yuanhang?”

Liu Fan’s sudden turn of conversation left Liang Xincheng somewhat baffled: “What does it have to do with him?”

“Next month, the variety show ‘Raiders of Heaven’ will have a fresh meat special. I’ve almost settled the deal for you. I heard that Xia Yuanhang will also be there. The popularity of the variety show will not be low when you two go together. Don’t foolishly avoid suspicion with him.”

Liang Xincheng looked at those few lines. His eyes gradually darkened, and he replied after a while: “I understand, but I can’t control what he does over there.”

After dismissing Liu Fan, he clicked on Weibo again and searched for Raiders of Heaven. This was a popular treasure hunting variety reality show in China recently. The resident guests were all popular celebrities and the ratings and topics were very high. There had been rumors about the special series of fresh meat in the early morning. The major marketing accounts had been attracting fans and almost all the popular fresh meat were on the list.

Liang Xincheng scrolled through it casually, and saw the following Weibo post: “Xincheng and Hang-ge will definitely be on the same stage this time, but it’s a pity that Movie King Xie never appears on a reality show, otherwise we would be able to see the fighting scene.”

There were quite a lot of likes and comments on this Weibo post with the fans were happily discussing the triangle relationship between the three of them; Liang Xincheng scrolled through the homepage of several of them, only to learn that he and Xie Qinfeng’s CP had already been there for more than a month. It started from the official group photo issued on the day of the opening ceremony, and yesterday’s birthday photo pushed it to a climax. At first glance, this looked like it was planned by Liu Fan, but maybe it was because there was too little material, or maybe he himself was too disgusted, Liu Fan didn’t dare to hype it too much.

Liang Xincheng was completely speechless; no wonder Xie Qinfeng picked his thorns everywhere. It turned out that it was not only because of Ding Yao, but also because of what Liu Fan had done. It was so clear that he was trying to rub the heat, who could stand him?

Xia Yuanhang had just finished the night scene when he received a call from his manager saying that he would be a guest in one episode of ‘Raiders of Heaven’ and would record it at the beginning of next month. Hearing that Liang Xincheng was on the guest list, he subconsciously refused: “My film hasn’t finished filming yet, I’ve been rushing to work. I’m afraid I won’t be able to spare time.”

“Come on. Didn’t you just hear that Liang Xincheng will go so you don’t want to go? You can figure it out. You really think you are a big name. You push the job that others can’t even ask for. If you don’t want to be tied up with Liang Xincheng, just keep your distance from him. Besides, he probably doesn’t want to talk to you now. They’re already eyeing Xie Qinfeng. Who would be happy to have a CP with you?”

Xia Yuanhang was a little surprised when he heard the words: “Xie Qinfeng?”

“That’s right, they are not cooperating now. I think that kid Liu Fan has put his mind on Xie Qinfeng, he doesn’t like you anymore. You can rest assured.”

If this was the case, Xia Yuanhang was not surprised at all because it seemed to be something that a person like Liang Xincheng could do.

“Also, it is the company who asked you to participate in this show. Aside from you, Ding Yao will also go. The company wants you to take him, so you have to go.”

“Okay, ba,“ When it came to Ding Yao, Xia Yuanhang’s attitude had obviously softened: “I’ll just go. You can arrange it for me. Just stop doing what you don’t have to do.”
