Because of a scientific experiment, a young man named Alan died. He got transmigrated to the fantasy world where everyone depends on magic to live, and not only that, there are also familiar system windows. 

The world was called Prirotlds. There were a lot of races that lived in the world. As well as several kingdoms. The world also had 7 goddesses.

One day a strange phenomenon happened in one of the human kingdoms. The sun was colored in blood, the mana in the world disappeared, The sky was dark red, the temperature was chilling, and people were panicked.

Those phenomena last for 2 days. Before suddenly big red portal appeared, and a monster poured down. Even though the kingdom had made a preparation with their army, they had no knowledge about those monsters, and they were overnumbered, so they lost.

Those monsters that came out from the gate were the dark force from another dimension. People called them the "Abyssal Legion." And control 80% of the territory in the world.

People called the red portal the "Chaos Gate." Once every 5 years, Those gates appeared. No one knew the reason behind those gates. They only knew how to prepare 2 days before the gates appeared because of the sky phenomena. They knew the location where the gate would spawn.

They could control 80% of the world's territory because they could breed in the world by capturing or infecting humanoids. "Abomination" that what people in the world call them. They also had been categorized by people.

One by one, the invaded kingdom fell. While "Abomination" was already started to increase its number. Because of that, Abomination had a never-ending horde of an army.

Because of those, his life was filled with a constant battle. One by one, the people he cared about died on the battlefield. He was fighting alone, Devastated, and lost, and he stabbed himself on the battlefield. Death was better than getting infected by those monsters.

But that was not the end. Alan was back in the same world with a different body and time.

He possessed the last king who lived in the world. He wanted to join the war with his people, but he saw something that made him feel devastated. He saw his friend and his lover on the Abomination side. They were infected. 

The fight lasted a couple of days before he died on the battlefield.

For the third time, Alan was back in the same world with a different body and time. Only this time, he was back in the past. It's been only a month since the chaos gate appeared, and his system was different. 

He saw an upgrade version option, but it was locked, and he had no idea what the requirement was to unlock it.

In the past, his system only showed him the status, inventory, and skills. He couldn't find any answer about his system upgrade, so he decided to thought about it later on the way.

Alan and his group cleared all the Abomination and the Abyssal legion that appeared in the world. He remembered when he possessed the king's body, the chaos gate number 10 was about to spawn in that timeline.

An XX years later. The strange phenomena appeared. Everyone was ready for a battle.

The gates opened and made everyone shocked. What came out from the gates was different. Not just the only army of the Abyssal legion, but there were also 7 figures. 4 figures were humanoid, and the rest were like giant beasts.

The Battle began. The fight was intense, and many soldiers had fallen. Both sides had many casualties on the battlefield. 

A couple of hours later. The sound of cheers could be heard from afar. They were winning, but at what cost?

In the middle of the battlefield, Alan was kneeling on the ground. His clothes and hair were fully colored with blood. In front of him, several bodies were lying on the ground.

He wasn't alone. Behind him, there were 4 female figures and 3 men who had the same expression as him. Sadness.

*Cough* *Puff* He was coughing, and the blood was spurted from his mouth.

"....... Why?"

"We win the battle."

"The world is safe once again."

"But...... I don't feel happy at all."

"Why................?"

"Why you guys don't run and leave me when I told you?"

The fight was intense, the seven figures were so strong, he could handle 3 of them, but it was him, he was the only one who was strong, the gap was too big.

Suddenly he saw his system notification.

[All requirements have been fulfilled]

"...... system?"

[Do you wish to upgrade the system to a new version? YES NO]

"Haaaaa, now you ask me................just like a fucking goddess. Where are they? They give us a blessing, yet they do nothing."

He had been looking for what requirement to fulfill the system upgrade, but he couldn't find it. Even though there was a Goddess in the world, they didn't help at all, not even a single guiding word to the priestess.

The people behind him walked toward him, and one of them grabbed Alan's shoulder and said, "Let's go dude. We should take them to a better place for rest." 

Alan got up and wanted to carry one of the lifeless bodies, but before that, he accepted the system upgrade.

[Initiating System Upgrade]

Alan saw another notification before his vision suddenly turned black, then he lost consciousness.

Later, somewhere in a dark void. Six women figures were standing in a circle and looking at the flared orb.

Inside the room, a glamorous long blonde haired woman was breastfeeding two babies. One was 3 years older, and the other was only a couple of days older. "Mama has a lot of milk, so drink it a lot, okay." She said while looking and smiling at her daughter and son. 

Then the door suddenly opened, and a woman who was wearing a night dress came inside. Her face was similar to hers, had the same hair color the only difference was she had a ponytail on the back.

She walked toward her while having a warning expression. "Mother, how is he? I'm sorry I cannot go here Immediately."

She looked at her, smiled, and said, "It's fine. I know you were busy with the beast that was running amok at the border. Look they are sleeping. He has amber eyes like his father."

"Ho,im sure father will be happy to see him up there. To see his son............" (I will leave it for your interpretation) 

One year later, in the same room. A woman woke up and got up from bed after hearing her baby cry in the middle of the night. She walked toward a baby bed, "Alan..., What's wrong, baby? Are you hungry?" 

Little did she know that he wasn't crying because he was hungry. It was because of something else. The memories from the other life started to get inside him on his first birthday, and he would have a dream every time he slept on his birthday.

When he was five, he was screaming and shouting. It seemed like he was haunted by a nightmare. They didn't know what was happening to him, and even though he was healthy and grew up fast, they couldn't help but worry about him. 

They asked him about what he saw, but the word just wouldn't come out of his mouth. All he could say was, "Nightmare." But after a couple of years, slowly and surely, collecting every piece, Alan comes to the realization that the dream was part of his memories. 

Inside a room, Alan who just turned 16 and had the last dream about his other self, woke up, opening his eyes, but the only thing he could see was her big sister's feet which was on his face. 

He moved it away then looked at her big sister's sleeping posture, he chuckled, "What a way to start a day." After everything that happened in the past, he rarely slept alone. It was hard for him, especially after he went through puberty and saw some of the memories. 

"I...... Why does this happen to me? I wonder who is the one behind all of this. For me to come back to 20 years before the portal appeared.........."

[System upgrade completed]

When he thought about his other life, he saw the status notification, and as soon as he chose yes, he felt a shock in his head that made him lose consciousness.

At the same time, His body was levitating on top of the bed, releasing heat steam, convulsed, while his eyes and veins were glowing. His clothes were ripped. He became taller and more muscular.

His big sister who was sleeping on his bed only woke up when she felt a bounce from the bed that came from Alan's body that just changed to the new one and fell to the bed.

She immediately got up and spawned her weapon, scanned the room her eyes stopped at Alan. She was shocked when she saw his state.

She moved closer toward him and checked his body, "Alan... What? What is happening to him? Why does he become like this?" panicked and Couldn't think of any answer, she left the room to ask for help.

Just after she left the room, Alan woke up, confused about what was happening. He was naked, and his body changed significantly. Didnt event noticed he was alone, immediately went to the bathroom and inspected his own body from bottom to top in the bathroom mirror.

"Is the system upgrade causing this?" He thought then shortly after, he got a new notification.
