Black hair walks to the front and gives a stink eye to brown hair. From this, I realize who the real boss among the group of three is. Brown hair flinches and backs off giving black hair the space he needs.
Flaunting his good looks, Black hair introduces himself. “I am Neren Alviore, the one who shall become the strongest shadow magic user of Clover Kingdom!”
Pfft…
Khh… kk… “Hahahaha!”
God, I cannot help it. Laughing at his face, I cannot help but think, man, you are hopeless. Neren? Who is this bastard with no name? Strongest Shadow Magic User? Reaaaally?
“Man, you are driving me n-nuts… Have you heard of Nacht Faust? He is the OG!” These words leak out of my mouth without my consent.
Neren grits his teeth. He so much wants to attack, but he cannot. Sabrina is watching, and I know this. Continuing on the insults is a bad move, but what can I do? The heart doesn’t agree with the mouth.
I cuss out. “You must be blind, you aren’t the only noble capable of shadow magic. Tell me, why are you even here oh dear noble? If you are so high and mighty, why are you receiving your grimoire in this place? Why aren’t you at the capital receiving your grimoire personally from the king? What an idiot! It is because you are a backwater noble that cannot even tell what a magic knight captain looks like!”
“Pfft…” Yami who was watching all of this starts laughing. “Hahahaha!” Like a disease, Sabrina joins the trolling. “Jajajajajaja!” What the fuck? What kind of laugh is that?
I continue my artful performance. No mercy to this 15-year-old! “Neren Alviore? Who even are you? You are so low, the lackeys behind you must have it worse. After all, birds of a feather flock together. Apparently, you lot deserves together.”
I am not done yet, “Hey, you foreigner, don’t ever associate yourself with me, okay? People might think we are friends.” Yep, that seals the deal.
Without Yami and the three noble youths noticing, I was already at the edges of the bushes. From there, “Adios!” I start running.
The four youths perplexedly look at whence I disappear. After some running, I finally cannot take it anymore and lies on the green grass. From where I lie, I see Sabrina flying above me. With her flying broom, she easily was able to catch up to me.
I don’t know what’s up with this woman. My recollection before I was in a coma is very vague. How did I even have a sword in my hand? How did I even escape the clutches of Philip Jester, my so-called dad?
Sabrina mentally controls her broom, as she descends to ground zero. “Hey, their champ. What you did there, was amazing! You have the qualities of a Wizard King in the making.” She then lies beside me in the bed of grass.
I look at her side profile. Beautiful face, definitely my type. But she is too old for this body. The stigma of society will haunt me for imagining this woman beside me as a love interest. I guess, this body didn’t just inherit my past life’s memories, but also my hormones. “Miss Sabrina, what are you planning to do with me?”

Sabrina looks at me, her purple eyes meet mine. “What are you currently feeling? You saved a life today, Aaron. Not just any life but a foreigner’s?”
Me? What am I feeling? “I am horny.” I brush her off. I look at the sky above me. It is blue, white, and gold. The sky, clouds, and the sun hover above me.
I cannot see it, but I feel Sabrina’s gaze persistently staying on me, waiting for a proper answer,
What am I feeling? I feel… cheated. This world is beautiful. I’d love to watch it, but to live in it? I can tell Sabrina who am I. I'd love to confess and doubt the realness of this world. I can tell her about it. But I can’t… and I won’t.
“Tsk,” Sabrina’s annoyance is evident. She pulls my ear and starts scolding me. “You fucker, I am twice your age, and you want to bone me, is that it? I asked you what you were feeling, and you say to me you are horny? Fucker.”
“Sorry, sorry!!” I cry to her, but she isn’t listening.
Sabrina is mercilessly pulling my ear. “Here is the plan. You are going to attend the Magic Knights Entrance Exam. You will join Purple Orca.” She says to me. Finally, she lets go of my ear.
I rub my hurting ears and stand up. “What if I don’t want to?” Sabrina who should be lying in the grass is no longer there. I look at my surroundings and there is no Sabrina.
Suddenly, I feel a cold choking sensation on my neck. I feel my toes leaving the ground. Something is strangling me. I feel a cold sensation behind my neck, and then… comes a whisper.
“You have no choice.” A familiar voice reaches my ears. Only now did I realize the gravity of my situation. “If you don’t do as I say…” I smell lavender in the air speaking of her presence, Sabrina gravely warns me. “I will reveal the crimes of the Jester family to the world.” With that, I feel a unique horror restricting my lungs.
I might no longer be the old Aaron, and I might lack his memories as a native of this world, but I get the idea of what Sabrina is implying. The Clover Kingdom is a harsh world to live in. I am certain I won’t survive for long if I don’t sing to Sabrina’s tune.
Sabrina’s voice becomes deeper, eerier, and even murderous. “The Magic Knights Squads of the kingdom will hunt you down. So, do as I say.” She plainly reveals that this is a threat. I have no way out.
The ghostly strangling force grabbing my neck vanishes. Vanishing along with it is the lavender scent and Sabrina’s whispering words to me. “Become stronger.”
I painfully massage my neck as I drop kneeling to the ground. My breathing is harsh and my mind is in disarray.
The prejudice was right all along. “Purple Orca is bad news.”
