Chapter 7: Blackbird&Whitebird

Diana "Dove" Hathaway. Honors student at Lady Maria's school, part time Waitress at her cousin Edgar's Small Diner. Nicknamed Dove for her Odd White Hair And Soft Voice. Currently, she has a problem. Three years ago, Edgar, you see, was driving home late one night, when he saw a girl Her age running from a man. He stopped his car, and told her to get in, he'd take her somewhere safe. In desperation, the girl Took his offer... And that night was when she first met her. Ravyn. Shes beautiful, her silver eyes, such an odd color, her darkly tanned skin, and her jet-black hair... And that's her problem... She cant get the girl out of her head... 

Dove P.O.V.

"SIGH... what am I gonna do?"

I was talking to my friend, Elsie, the only person i trusted enough to confide in.

"What's the problem, exactly? I don't see it."

Elsie grinned at me, her freckled face seemingly perfect... if it werent for the scar that crossed her left cheek...

"You don't see the problem, Else? Every day, the sisters tell us these things I'm feeling are wrong, but I cant stop! Everytime I close my eyes, I see her face... her lips... God, I wanna kiss her so bad!"

"So do it! Worse that could happen is you get rejected, and at least you'd have the memory! Besides, Even though they keep saying it's wrong, you KNOW Sisters Tabitha and Elena Are like that! We BOTH saw them."

"That's true... but raven Is so nice, so friendly... After what Her parents were going to do, after what they DID? I cant make the first move."

Metahuman Emergence 

Four years ago, a small group of people that had been given a certain drug, began to undergo cellular mutation. These mutations could affect their physical body in unique ways. One man grew a tail, and his wife woke up to discover she had Feline-like claws... it seemed that the mutation was affected by their desires, so we have two girls, both of whom took the drug, Who had similar desires. One wanted to escape from her caged-bird Lifestyle, Feeling almost like a pet, forced to go to a school run by a faith she didn't follow, pray to a god she didn't believe in, and mostly ignored by her absentee parents... the other Wanted free from the hell she was born into, the daughter of a petty Crook and a Prostitute, who had decided to sell her to her mother's Pimp when she turned thirteen. Both had taken a mutagenic drug, both desired to fly Free... That desire manifested in the obvious way. Both girls, at will, Could sprout Wings and fly...

Raven P.O.V

She was here again. That most beautiful stalker of mine. I know why shes always staring, always smiling when she met my eyes... and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested... I wasn't paying attention to where i was walking, and didn't see the truck jump the sidewalk, headed straight for me... i couldn't dodge, didn't have time to trigger my secret... I thought I was dead... but I felt arms around me, and was lifted up... the truck passing below me, as I locked eyes with my savior...  and she panicked and dropped me... luckily, I had time to trigger it now... I flew up to meet her... white wings, a shocked face... she was cute.

"Wait! You have wings too? And such a pretty black! Umm... Raven, I need to say something, and nows probably as good a time as any... ummmm... would you be interested in dating me? Because I think I'm in lo-"

I Cut her off with a kiss, no longer fighting my urges... we landed on the roof of the Diner, breathless... and kissed some more...

"I guess" (kissing SE)"I guess that's a yes, then?"

"Course it is, dummy... Let's Date! Why dont we start with more kissing!"

And so, we did.
