"That's Sadai alright. Wait here," Zangei confirmed.
When Zangei returned, he handed Jonathan a briefcase. Opening it, Jonathan saw what looked like ten million ryō. He began counting it. "I heard Sadai had a group with him," Zangei stated. Jonathan only needed a single word:
"Dead."
It was subtle, but Jonathan could see the sweat drip from his face. Despite keeping his composure, Jonathan knew people like Zangei. He was the type not to ask questions once he understood a client's motives. Just that response was enough for him to know Jonathan wasn't an ordinary bounty hunter.
After the money was counted, Jonathan closed the brief case and walked away saying, "It'll be some time before you see me again." Jonathan left the building and teleported with the briefcase. Within a short time, Jonathan had accumulated a lot. It was dirty money but it was a lot faster than investing ryō.
Frankly, this was a form of investment in itself. The more a person caused trouble, the higher their bounty went up. Jonathan just had to pick the right person who had the most reputably earned value.
At Kyowakoku Jungle, Jonathan counted a total of sixteen million five-hundred thousand ryō minus his loot from Gonsunkugi. This was equivalent to one-hundred sixty million Japanese yen or one million one-hundred thousand American dollars. For the last four years, Jonathan had been trying to accumulate up to fifteen million ryō.
He had to slay four shinobi and fight Anbu Black Ops members to acquire such wealth. And it would all be worth it to achieve one of his ambitious goals. The lives of Gantetsu, Chōseki, Gonsunkugi and Sadai were only worth about sixteen million ryō. People traded lives for money. To Jonathan, things here were no different than on earth.
With his goal exceeded, he packed up all the money in one briefcase and teleported out.
Arriving in the Stone, Jonathan wasted no time departing after grabbing one extra item. The area Jonathan made it to was in the outskirts of the Land of Stone, a place called Takayama Town. There, Jonathan was disguised as Kizashi Haruno, Sakura Haruno's father. Rather than his crude kimono he wore in the Leaf, he instead adorned himself in richly apparel.
Jonathan found an open area within the city. He placed his palms on the ground and activated the rupturing earth technique. Controlling the amount of chakra and force used, Jonathan leveled the ground about eight feet deep, creating a perfectly formed square. When he finished, he walked with his briefcase to a nearby building.

"Welcome to Washizawa Kensetsu, sir," a woman said greeting Jonathan at the door.
Jonathan had not just spent his time training for the last two years while he was staying in the Stone Village. He had been gathering information on this country as well. One of the things he gained knowledge of was a construction company that was widely known here. Takayama Town was a place that many rich men conducted various business in. It was the only place Jonathan felt comfortable going to.
Washizawa Kensetsu was a contracting company. Kensetsu in Japanese meant corporation. Jonathan knew this by heart. The reason Jonathan needed to accumulate so much wealth was because he was going to construct an entire building. Not just any building either, Jonathan needed something only he believed this company would make without asking much.
"I'd like to speak with your president," Jonathan said with a wholehearted smile.
The woman couldn't help but feel like she was being charmed by Jonathan. "I'm sorry, sir. Our president's a very busy man," she said. "Is this related to a contract you have with us? If so, I can find somebody to help."
"No. In fact, it's the opposite," answered Jonathan. "I'd like your company to build something special for me." The woman blinked saying, "I see… Let me see if our president's free." With that said, she left to another room. When she returned, she approached Jonathan saying, "He'll see you." Jonathan walked into the room and sat down on a chair made of leather. It had been some time since Jonathan sat on something so comfortingly soft.
"I hear you'd like to build something special with us," a man said staring at Jonathan from the opposite side of the large room. This man's name was Katsumi Washizawa. He sat at a desk with several rings on his fingers, a gold tooth and a finely knit black and white striped tuxedo suit. "I'll cut to the chase. Here are the blueprints," Jonathan said handing Katsumi a rolled-up piece of paper. Katsumi Washizawa, he was widely known in the Land of Earth due to his company. He was also one of the richest men alive.
"Huh…?" Katsumi squinted. "Do you understand how much time this would take to build?" Jonathan kept a confident smile saying, "I can guess," Jonathan replied. Katsumi stood up gripping the blueprints. "My company doesn't just take projects from just anyone, you…"
"Fifteen million," Jonathan interrupted. "What?" Katsumi asked. "I said fifteen million. That's how much I'm willing to pay."
