Chapter 117: Chapter 117: Jonathan vs. Kazekage Rasa

"Yash… Yashamaru… why are you doing this?" Rasa asked. He was looking back at Yashamaru who had his sword impaled through his heart from the back.

Jonathan only smiled because that's how the real Yashamaru would have done things. "Why would you send someone to lie to their own son?" Jonathan asked. "Don't you think Karura would have despised you for that?" Saying this, he chucked his sword out and threw it to the side.

Clang!

Rasa caught the sword without effort. "You're not the real Yashamaru. To have seen through my sand clone that quickly? Not even Yashamaru was good enough to do that," Rasa exclaimed.

"Then, how do you think I knew about Karura and that mission?" Jonathan rhetorically asked. He wasn't looking for an answer, but Rasa looked like he was going to speak. Boom! Before he could, the Shukaku began running amok. "I'll deal with you later," Rasa stated. He jumped into the air. At the peak of his jump, Jonathan was already at his side.

"Not so fast, lord fourth."

Rasa's eyes widened. 'He's fast. Dang it. I underestimated him!' Jonathan grabbed Rasa in the air, spun him around and kicked his head. The blow caused his body to turn upside down. When it did, Jonathan grabbed ahold of him.

'Primary lotus.'

Both Rasa and Jonathan came crashing to the top of the building. Bang! As the dust cleared, Jonathan got up from the technique. On the ground was sand. 'A substation from that position?' Jonathan thought. Rasa appeared only a few yards away. "It seems as though I'll have to deal with you first," Rasa threatened. "Don't worry," Jonathan rebutted. "I'll let you get back to your little racoon after I get what I came here for."

'What he came here for?' Rasa repeated in his head. While he was still thinking, Jonathan quickly closed the distance with his teleport movement technique. Gold dust from the ground erupted right in front of Jonathan's face. Jonathan planted his feet and backflipped in the air before he was caught in Rasa's technique.

Still in the air, gold dust began to manifest itself from behind. 'So this is the strength of a kage,' Jonathan believed. He turned around and formed a tiger seal. 'Fire style: great fireball jutsu.' Enhanced with Kokuō's chakra, a massive flame clashed with Rasa's gold dust. The collision blew Jonathan to the ground where he landed safely. He looked down and saw he was standing on scattered gold dust. Immediately, tendrils sprouted from underneath and encased him in a cocoon.

'Water style: giant vortex jutsu.'

The cocoon expanded, leaking out water until it completely exploded from within. The water gushed out into the air causing it to pour rain. 'Now I'm certain,' Rasa believed. 'That is not Yashamaru!' Jonathan grabbed eight senbon needles between his fingers, inserted lightning chakra into them and threw all of it at Rasa. 'Lightning, too?' Rasa said as he crossed his arms together. Gold dust quickly formed, blocking Jonathan's attack. The density of the dust was so magnetic that Jonathan's lightning senbon deflected off.

'I admire his fortitude, but it's time to end things,' Jonathan thought. 'Ninja art: hidden mist jutsu.' Using the pouring rain as well as Kokuō's bodily water, Jonathan hastily created a thick mist. "The longer you keep this up, the more endangered our village gets!" Rasa screamed. The instant he did, Jonathan appeared right in front of him.

Jonathan slashed Rasa's entire torso. Bang! Jonathan delivered a chakra enhanced punch mixed with his unrivalled strength technique to Rasa's face. His body flew out of the mist but before he could crash, Jonathan fired a false darkness attack. A lightning bolt hit Rasa directly as he smashed into the wall!

Jonathan then released his hidden mist technique and used his teleportation movement technique to appear right in front of Rasa's body. 'Those attacks were all augmented with Kokuō's chakra.' If Rasa had known that Jonathan also couldn't see in the mist, he wouldn't have given his location out so easily. The moment he yelled, Jonathan knew exactly where he was and didn't hesitate to deliver a deadly combo. 'He should still be alive... hopefully.'

Jonathan looked to see that Rasa was instead unconscious. Using his sword, he activated his sharingan and carefully sliced off several pieces of Rasa's flesh. From the start, Jonathan was not aiming to kill Rasa. Neither was he interested in Shukaku's rampage. What he came here for was Rasa's cells!
