Rubble fell from a destroyed building. A hand was seen emerging from the opening made. Grabbing the wall outside, a figure climbed out from that opening. Sunlight caused his skin to glisten from a night of what felt like endless suffering. The boy's eyes had been closed as he stared upwards. That boy was Jonathan Yuan.
Jonathan slowly opened them to reveal eyes as dark as the abyss.
At the edge of Jonathan's waste was a lifeless head—with its eyes ripped out—being held by its hair. For a whole night till morning, there hadn't been a single shinobi nearby. This was because of Jonathan's tactfulness. He chose a secluded area far from most of the destruction. The moment the sun rose, Jonathan left the building he was lodging himself in.
Not only was Jonathan rarely seen by anyone, the only person who had even known Jonathan's real name in this world was now dead. Her dead corpse had been cut into pieces last night with the use of the chakra dissection blade technique. All manner of poison had already been extracted in case anyone decided to do an autopsy. To make sure the crime committed didn't look like homicide, Jonathan left behind some of her ninja tools. Neither the Leaf's Anbu Black Ops nor the Uchiha Police Force would ever hope to trace any of this back to Jonathan even if they tried.
How could they? A tailed beast had just attacked their village, their fourth Hokage was dead, and there were a number of lives that had perished due to the attack. Jonathan could have disposed of the body by other means, or even bury it if he wanted. But doing something like that in broad daylight while he was positive other ninjas would eventually start looking for the injured and dead, was too risky. Trying to take the body with him would also have been foolish. From what Jonathan remembered, the Uchiha Police Force was tasked to patrol the borders rather than help defend against the nine-tails attack.
Jonathan had only slept a couple hours at best after he performed the surgery. Because of his healing technique, he wasn't in any noticeable pain. Even his burnt foot was fully healed. However, Jonathan's chakra reserves were still considerably low. He didn't even have enough to activate his newly acquired sharingan.
He speculated that he could perform at most two techniques before he'd likely pass out from too much chakra consumption. Mix in his lack of sleep, he was sure to faint any moment now. But neither of this bothered Jonathan in the slightest.
Wasting no time, Jonathan stealthily moved from building to building. He wasn't like Obito Uchiha who could teleport in and out of places without worry. He had to use his small height as well as the endless mourning of the citizens to get around. The months of training his body while using chakra were showing their results.
To Jonathan's much fortune, he found a large hole in the wall surrounding the Leaf. But this was no surprise. There were several damaged openings like these across the whole village. Jonathan used that opportunity to escape the Leaf without being noticed.
Several yards away, Jonathan took out a kunai and began digging. The hole he dug took some time. Thanks to his chakra control, he used just enough to help his muscles withstand the physical strains. Jonathan was a self-motivated individual. The tougher the situation looked, the more effort Jonathan would put in.
After digging a sizeable hole of about four feet, he threw both Hazuki's head and all the evidence inside. Jonathan began to give thought as he was filling up the hole.
It wasn't as though Hazuki Uchiha was a weak opponent. Jonathan knew this the instant he saw she bore a three tomoe sharingan. At any point in time, Hazuki could have placed Jonathan under a genjutsu. Had she done that, the fight would have been over instantly. But Jonathan's boyish charm and innocent nature was able to avert her senses. Hazuki hadn't thought of using sharingan genjutsu. Why would she when the boy in front of her wore the Leaf Village's headband?
Not only that, when Jonathan first attacked Hazuki after healing her, she saw that Jonathan was avoiding eye contact with her. As the battle raged against the two, not once had Jonathan made full eye contact with her. He was more than careful. He was a skilled tactician.
The moment Jonathan finished burying Hazuki's head, he returned to the hole he exited from. Had it not been for the nine-tails assault, a feat. like this would have impossible for any regularly shinobi to perform. But Jonathan was not regular. He was from earth and carried a vast amount of knowledge of this world. Any enemy village of the Leaf would have envied Jonathan's hidden triumph.
Coming back, Jonathan was able to enter in and out of the Leaf without being noticed. By the time he made it to an area where there were a lot of people still injured, trapped or crying, he found a soft patch of grass next to a burnt building and sat down.
Back against the wall, Jonathan raised his knee, placed his forearms across that knee and eventually fell asleep.
