Teuchi and Ayame would continue their daily affair. Jonathan instructed them to act as they normally would. Teuchi himself was in charge of the ramen shop, so Jonathan gave him a neural suggestion to cook his best and save the profits so Jonathan could manage it. Since Jonathan knew how the ramen shop business would flourish without his intervention, he could always expedite that process.
Throughout the week, the only amount of training Jonathan performed was his chakra control. At times he'd try and re-learn a jutsu, but with the so little space he had, his efforts proved to no avail. Jonathan needed to train.
He was more than familiar with the layout of the Leaf by now. It was one thing traversing the village in a video game. It was another setting an actual foot in it. When Jonathan stealthily made it to the training grounds, he saw that someone was already there. It was inevitable there would be eager, young shinobi willing to get stronger. Jonathan would have gladly found a remote location if he hadn't taken interest in the person.
Anko Mitarashi. She was a part of Orochimaru's team around this time. Her skill level, however, were what Jonathan found profitable. Hiding above a tree at a reasonable distance, Jonathan activated his sharingan. Whether this was stalking, Jonathan felt no shame. He analyzed Anko's movements. They weren't anything a genin her age was capable of. He judged that Anko was at least a Chūnin by now. Which would make reasonable sense because the exams had ended before the nine-tail's attack. And it was no surprise seeing her here. Her village's four Hokage had recently died.
Anko's movements were swift. Orochimaru had trained her well. With each flourishing kick and punch she unleashed, Jonathan was reading them effortlessly. After training in the Forest of Death, he knew how to utilize the sharingan's predictive abilities well. Anko's movements were easily readable. But this wasn't what Jonathan was testing. He was in fact trying to copy those movements. If Jonathan fought Anko at this stage, even he knew he'd lose. She was too fast for Jonathan's body to respond to. Though Jonathan's eyes could still comprehend her every move. Jabs, kicks, swings. All of them Jonathan began copying. This sort of training is known as visual training. And because of the sharingan's ability to copy not just ninjutsu but taijutsu, Jonathan would most certainly implement what he saw into his training sessions.
This is how Sasuke Uchiha was able to increase his speed. Until the sun rose, Jonathan watched Anko train until she was covered in sweat. The only jutsu she activated was striking shadow snakes, but Jonathan couldn't copy that jutsu. He required to make a contract with snakes in order to perform it. However, Jonathan did take a mental note of it.
Movements from a Chūnin were far different from an average citizen. Jonathan's usage of copy came natural to him after learning to use the sharingan. By the time Anko laid there panting, Jonathan fled to a more remote area. One of the things Jonathan had Teuchi buy for him were leg weights. Rock Lee was famous for his quickness. It took him years to develop it. Sasuke Uchiha, with the aid of Kakashi Hatake, used the sharingan to mimic those movements in less than two months.
Anko wasn't Rock Lee. But she didn't have to be. Jonathan knew full well of Rock Lee's training regimen. When Jonathan found a very far and secluded area, one he was positive no one would come to due to its rough terrain and lack of space, Jonathan began. He tied the weights to his legs, activated the sharingan, and circulated chakra to his legs.
After thirty minutes, Jonathan was ready to throw up. Anko's copied movements were different when being performed with his immature body. He had no choice but to rest after that first, short session. This pattern continued for the next two and half hours. Rock Lee could spend an entire day training his body. His teacher, Might Guy, was capable of doing over seven hundred pushups before tiring. Mind you, they were all still children at the time.
Jonathan could feel his very muscles tearing trying to over exert himself. His small body wasn't accustomed to this level of strain. But there was something those shinobi didn't have that Jonathan did.
Healing jutsu.
The moment Jonathan felt he couldn't lift himself up, he performed the healing technique. Not just to recover his torn muscle fibers but also to replenish his stamina. Just like that, Jonathan was fully recovered and continued his training.
