Chapter 50: Chapter 50: Smoked Barbeque

Yukimi Iburi had died.

To be accurate, Yukimi had died hours after most of her cells were extracted. Even though no one important would likely ever hear from Yukimi again, Jonathan never left room for mistakes to be made. He had spent the last few moments digging a pit before throwing Yukimi's debilitated body in. The bags covered in blood, however, were stored back in his weapon's pouch.

Jonathan looked up. He had bags under his eyes. From the time he was at the Leaf Village till now, he had been awake for two days straight. Orcohimaru may have escaped the country, but the biggest victor was Jonathan Yuan.

The sun began to rise and Jonathan could see the light piercing through the tree leaves. He lifted up his arm before slowly rotating his hand. There hadn't been any blood on them. He placed his hand over the direction the light protruded from. The sun had caused the light to reflect off his eyes which were as dark as the abyss. It was morning and Jonathan hadn't said a single word. He was lost in thought, recalling his time on earth.

Jonathan had loved ones, friends and a family he cherished. No matter what ordeals he would have to face in the world of ninjas, he would never forget who he was nor what his goals were. Whether he had to slay every single thing that moved in this world to get back home, he would do it without hesitation.

After a few seconds in the same position, Jonathan's hand began evaporating into smoke. Starting from his fingertips, his entire upper body metamorphosized into vapor before he completely disappeared from the area.

"This is an outrage," a man said.

Another man was sitting on a desk with his hands crossed over his mouth, eyes closed.

"Come on, Fugaku. Even you know the Leaf's being ridiculous right now!"

"Calm down, Inabi."

Fugaku Uchiha wasn't a simple man. His hard work allowed him to become not only head of his clan but also head of the police force within the Leaf Village. He was also the father of two highly talented shinobi, Itachi Uchiha and Sasuke Uchiha.

"Last year, one of our members was found in a crushed house with her head missing. And what did the elders say? Nothing!" screamed Inabi Uchiha.

"Inabi!" Fugaku raised his voice due to Inabi's blatant misbehaviour. "That's not something we should be discussing right now. I gave you a task. Inform me of it?"

Inabi apologized and began speaking. "Izumi Uchiha's growing steadily. We have a few of our clansmen still trying to nurture her after her mother died in that horrific event a few months back." The person they spoke about was Hazuki Uchiha, mother of Izumi. She had not just died. Her body was mangled in such a manner that it was difficult to tell her part. On top of that, her head was missing and nowhere to be found at the scene.

"There's report Izumi can use the sharingan. Is this true?" Fugaku insisted.

"Yes," Inabi explained. "When asked about it, she ignored us and stayed quiet. It took her a few days to tell us how she learned to activate the sharingan at such an early age."

"And what did she say?" Fugaku asked.

"It was her father. She saw him die during the nine-tail's attack," answered Inabi.

"I see… Keep watch over her and try to bring her closer to Itachi. She's not as skilled as my son but, she does have a lot of potential. They can help our clan rise to power one day." Fugaku rested his arms to grab some unfinished paper work on his desk.

Inabi Uchiha nodded at Fugaku's instructions before leaving his office. As Fugaku was writing, he looked behind him and noticed something peculiar. He arose from his seat and saw a crack in his office window. Staring at it for a moment, he opened it to see if anything looked suspicious outside. He went as far as even activating his sharingan. Not seeing anything out of the ordinary, save cloud vapor coming out from a nearby chimney, he closed the window and returned to his desk.

By the time he sat down, the smoke from the chimney stopped coming out. Why? Because that cloud of vapor pretending to be smoke from a chimney was Jonathan Yuan.

The Iburi clan's kekkei genkai was notoriously powerful. Not even Kakashi Hatake, with a fully developed sharingan, could tell them apart from natural smoke. Jonathan confirmed this after successfully sneaking into the office of Fugaku. His confirmation was strengthened when he saw Fugaku Uchiha use his sharingan to try and detect him openly. Even Jonathan couldn't identify Gotta Iburi's chakra signature with his own sharingan whilst he was in this form.

Jonathan flew through the home as a thin layer of smoke, past all their rooms and made it outside. When no one was looking, he sat down at a restaurant before converting himself to his physical from. And Jonathan wasn't careless. He had performed the transformation technique just moments before.

'This kekkei genkai will require a name,' thought Jonathan resting his chin on his palm. A waiter came by and gave Jonathan a drink in seeing his table was empty. The person he chose this time was an opened face Kankaro from the Sand Village.

"Would you like to try our smoked barbeque ribs? It's our special today. Just so you know," said his waiter.

Jonathan turned his eyes to look at him with a content smile before answering.

"Yes, I would."
