Chapter 49: Chapter 49: Talking Zombies

Yukimi Iburi was walking alone in the opposite direction from the two people who helped saved her life.

"Crack."

The sporadic sound caused Yukimi to frantically turn around. It had already been half an hour since she left Yamato and Kakashi. As far as she knew, she was alone. Because she hadn't seen anything, she calmed herself down. "I guess I'm still a little paranoid of the wind," sighed Yukimi in relief. The wind blew slightly passed her hair making her feel a little more confident.

'First gate, open. Sharingan, butterfly mode…'

When Yukimi turned around, her entire world went black.

'Dynamic entry!'

Jonathan's blow was so devastating it caved her face in and caused her to be sent flying several yards away.

Jonathan landed elegantly as his physical structure reverted to its normal state. His face was unreadable. And though he wasn't fat, he had lost some of his muscle composition. Jonathan discovered the calorie control technique didn't just need to use one's fat cells. Muscle cells could be used as well. Without needing to consume a food pill, Jonathan had activated sharingan just before entering into butterfly mode. Using his chakra control, he transferred all that condensed chakra into his leg rather than his fist.

The speed and force Yukimi was hit with could have killed her had Jonathan not held back.

'The combined powers of butterfly mode are a lot more effective when taijutsu is used,' concluded Jonathan.

By the time Yukimi woke up, she was in a shock. Her body was aching and her head was throbbing immensely. It took a minute for her mind to adjust at what was happening. When she came to, she noticed it was already dark. "Awoke, are we?" asked an unfamiliar voice. Yukimi looked to her side, startled to see a child around her height wearing a surgical mask. That child was Jonathan.

He could tell by her look she was petrified in fear. It wasn't just because Jonathan had his sharingan staring down at her. It wasn't because he was holding a scalpel covered in blood either. It was because when she looked down, both her legs had been severed.

Jonathan saw she was about to scream, so he quickly covered her mouth. She tried to struggle, but Jonathan was stronger. With just one hand, he was able to keep her subdued. Due to the needed materials, Jonathan hadn't brought anything to gag her mouth with. It took a whole minute for her to stop struggling. When Jonathan let go, she began whimpering.

"Please… Please stop," Yukimi beckoned. She couldn't enter her smoke form because of how woozy her body felt. On top of that, she couldn't concentrate her chakra due the horror being done to her. She was pale, her head hurt and she couldn't even tell where she was because of the dark. But Jonathan could. One of the properties of the sharingan was its visual acuity. The darkness was Jonathan's greatest friend imaginable.

"You're not alive, so why bother?" Jonathan coldly responded.

Jonathan then covered her mouth in seeing she was about to scream again. Tired of her wasting his time, he used the scalpel and sliced her forearm open. Her squirming became violent. Hastily, Jonathan rotated his body, twisted her arms up and drove his knee into her liver.

"Hmm?" questioned Jonathan. He looked at Yukimi and saw parts of her pants were wet. Yukimi had then stopped her senseless struggle. When Jonathan removed his hands from her mouth, he saw she had passed out from the shock. Throughout that whole moment, Jonathan remained inexpressive. He grabbed a medical bag along with along with clamps to siphon the blood from her arms.

A few feet from Yukimi's unconscious body were several bags filled with her blood cells. This was different than the time he was performing this act back at the Leaf. He was experienced, quicker and more efficient. Both in his chakra control and his surgical cuts. And thanks to the sharingan, Jonathan could precisely cut the areas to extract what he needed. All without waking her up.

Not a moment later and Jonathan began transferring her cells via an IV needle hooked up to one of the bags filled her blood cells. The process was similar as with Hazuki Uchiha but with more efficency. Using the healing technique, Jonathan helped circulate the cells into his blood stream whilst also sterilizing it. He had tested to see if Yukimi's blood was compatible while she was still unconscious before starting this procedure. Had it not been, Jonathan would have killed Yukimi and return with nothing in hand.

From what Jonathan remembered, Orochimaru was like a vampire. Rather than perform a proper cellular transplant, he simply sucked the Iburi clan's blood straight from their body. His only reason for doing so was because he was injured and an in a hurry to escape the country. This was why he would only temporarily gain their kekkei genkai. Had he taken the time to conduct a proper procedure, he could have permanently gained that kekkei genkai. Jonathan, of course, only speculated this.

Whether it would work or not, Jonathan wasn't going to pass up the chance. He needed power and he would ensure he'd get that power by any means necessary.

As Yukimi Iburi's cells were being transplanted, Jonathan stared at her unconscious body. She was losing a lot of blood. The chances of her waking up again in that condition were slim. He asked himself if he knew what Yukimi meant by she was not alive. As quickly as that thought formed, it quickly dissipated. Jonathan hadn't cared because in his point of view, everyone in this world was already dead to Jonathan.

They were no more than hopeless, talking zombies.
