Chapter 60: Chapter 60: Angelic Battle

The four Anbu all had a weapon in hand. Versus Kakashi Hatake and Shisui Uchiha who had their sharingan and a hand seal at the ready. Jonathan looked at the six slowly approaching.

Not a single moment did Jonathan lose his composure. He knew the moment Shisui was in his room, something like this would happen. Or rather, he knew full well a day like this could come. He didn't feel like he made a mistake letting Teuchi go to the Chūnin exams. He understood the consequences but let him do it anyways. If he went, it would make him look less suspicious as a Leaf citizen.

"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world," Jonathan uttered.

The six ninjas looked at one another in confusion. "What did he say?"

Jonathan opened his mouth to reveal a giant red pill lodged between his teeth. He bit down saying the words, "Amen."

Wind began vehemently circulating around Jonathan. So much dust gathered that the other six ninjas were forced to cover their faces. With their sharingan still active, both Kakashi and Shisui saw a bright, blue glow forming where Jonathan stood. When the wind ceased and the dust cleared, they all gasped.

Behind Jonathan, shining with a cyan luminosity was a pair of wings. But they hadn't looked like butterfly wings.

They were angelic...

Emotionless, Jonathan took one step and appeared in front of an Anbu. "Look out!" screamed Shisui. Jonathan grabbed the Anbu's face with his bare hand, breaking his mask. He then lifted him slightly before releasing his hold. When he did, there was an explosive tag strapped to his face. Jonathan then kicked him twice high into the air.

'Butterfly hurricane.'

At Jonathan's last kick, the force was so intense it caused the Anbu to fly more than one hundred meters away.

Boom!

When Jonathan finished, he looked to see Kakashi who was only inches away from his face with a chidori. Jonathan's very facial features were glowing a light blue colour. The scene had slowed down so much that the two locked sharingan's together. Kakashi just stared into Jonathan's blank face before slipping right through him.

'Smoked jutsu.'

Shisui managed to close the distance with his tantō attempting to slash at the smoke.

"No, don't!" Kakashi screamed.

Jonathan entered into Shisui's nostrils. Shisui coughed before collapsing to the ground. He was writhing in agony.

Even though Kakashi informed the other three of Jonathan's kekkei genkai, he hadn't told Shisui anything. This is what made fighting Jonathan so difficult despite being around both their ages and being outnumbered. Jonathan was thinking several moves ahead of them even when the people facing him were Kakashi the Copy Ninja and Shisui of the Body Flicker!

"What's happening to him?!" the kunoichi panic.

'Body oxidation.'

When Jonathan felt Shisui pass out, he released the jutsu and returned to his physical form. Being in butterfly mode excelled the process of Jonathan corroding Shisui's body. But he didn't want to kill Shisui. Even in the most dangerous of situations, Jonathan was thinking far ahead.

"Kō!" Kakashi screamed.

"Got it!" The moment Jonathan manifested himself, Kō placed his hands forward. Jonathan's eyes widened in seeing the technique form. He immediately crossed his arms. A fervent wind raged at Jonathan. Had he not kept his feet attached the roof with chakra, he would been blown away! Without wasting time, Kakashi simultaneously activated the chidori and rushed towards Jonathan.

There was no way he could perform a substitution in this state. Worst of all, he couldn't turn into vapor. If he did, the wind technique would kill him instantly. Jonathan's angelic wings were also quickly dissipating. Kakashi closed the distance and thrusted his chidori forward.

Jonathan had no other choice and caught his forearm with both hands. Kakashi tried forcing his chidori but Jonathan held his arm tightly in place. The two looked at each other. Kakashi was seen struggling, but Jonathan had an unreadable, confidence look.

"Forgive me, Kakashi!" the kunoichi yelled from above. Jonathan's eyes shifted towards her direction. A raging flame traveled in a linear motion, landing right on both Jonathan and Kakashi! Because of Kō's wind technique, the flames exploded on impact.

Boom!

…

The dust finally settled. On a now destroyed rooftop, Kakashi was lying flat on the ground. Half his body had been burnt from that attack. Standing several yards away was Jonathan. Half of his shirt had completely burned off and his left arm was badly damaged. It was also bleeding. Had it not been for being in his angelic, butterfly mode, he would have been in Kakashi's position. Jonathan was seen holding his bleeding arm with a blank expression.

"It's over!" Kō yelled.

He wasn't wrong. It was over. Jonathan only had enough of chakra to perform one technique. Even if he wanted to use that technique, his body was screaming at him. Kō had already seen him perform his smoked technique. If Jonathan tried to enter it into now, he wouldn't be fast enough to avoid Kō's wind attack. The healing technique was also out of the question. The two Anbu in front of him wouldn't give him the slightest chance to perform it. And even if he managed to get the technique off, his chakra would be lowered to dangerous levels.

Jonathan had never been backed into a corner like this before. There was only one thing to do.

He stared at the two with an unreadable expression. His sharingan had already deactivated. The two Anbu couldn't tell what he was thinking.

Jonathan removed his hand from his wound. It was covered in blood.

"Stop!" the two yelled in unison in seeing what Jonathan was doing. One began dashing towards Jonathan.

'Boar, dog, bird, monkey, ram…' Jonathan executed the hand seals perfectly. The female Anbu wouldn't make it in time. She pulled out three shuriken and threw them with all her strength at Jonathan.

Jonathan slammed his palm on the rooftop.

'Summoning jutsu!'

A puff cloud enveloped where Jonathan stood. When it cleared, Jonathan had completely disappeared.
