As soon as the match started, Glenn dashed toward the woman, aiming to exploit the fact that the Zweihander saw little use close-ranged.

The woman, of course anticipating this, swung her sword toward Glenn. However, her slow speed made it possible for him to take a brief step backward before continuing on his path, now cleared of obstacles.

Before the woman could get back into posture, Glenn delivered a quick jab to her face.

And another,

and another.

Seeing that the hood only suffered minor scratches before it healed back again, Glenn clicked his tongue in frustration.

'Tch, as expected, I need to use Chaos after all.'

Glenn knew that his time was limited since the woman was very close to stabbing her sword in his direction. Thus, he decided to remove the biggest threat right now—the slime on her shoulder—before falling back. He didn't know why, but he had a feeling that he was going to regret it if he didn't remove it from the battle now.

As such, Glenn clenched his fist tight and struck the slime, sending it flying out of the training ground and, coincidentally, toward her sister. Other than it appearing to be a little bit dazed, there was no sign that the slime was harmed in any way. Regardless, the woman still expressed her rage at Glenn.

"You dare?!" She wrote in a jaggy font; the words were of the color red now, instead of the earlier green.

Then, she suddenly kicked Glenn's abdomen, making his body bend in a "V" shaped curve and sending him flying back. Fortunately for Glenn, however, the woman didn't follow up her surprise kick with any attack.

Glenn took this time to light a fire with his left hand and grab a handful of Chaos with his right. With his preparations now done, Glenn gazed cautiously at the woman, who was similarly staring Glenn down.

The tense silence was eventually broken by a line of red text that floated right before the woman.

[Forced activation]

It seemed that she had used a Skill. However... the woman couldn't see anything strange about Glenn.

"Did it fail?" She wrote for everyone to see, unintentionally, almost like a force of habit.

However, things were a bit different for Glenn. He stood stiff in his spot and looked at his trembling hands. Although he looked nearly the same to other people, Glenn knew that he had changed somehow. His hands turned a bit thinner and more elegant, and there was extra weight on his chest. Coupled with the name of the Skill the woman had just used, Glenn could guess what happened.

'Did she just forced me to turn into Glynn?'

It was lucky that Glynn was wearing baggy clothes, otherwise this fact would be very apparent to anyone watching. As soon as she realized what happened to her, Glynn wrapped her tail around her body, not wanting anyone to discover it. Then, she swallowed her disgust of this form and tried to turn back. However, she recalled that the Skill had a 10 minutes cooldown and thus, she was stuck in this form for that long.

As she was thinking about what to do, Katherine suddenly appeared.

"You!" She shouted. "Where's Glenn?!"

'I'm Glenn!' Glynn replied. 'It's a bit complicated, but trust me, I'm Glenn.'

However, Glynn didn't have time to say anything else as the woman had already began dashing toward her. Glynn readied her fist and braced herself for what was to come.

The woman slashed as soon as she got in range, her sword cut through the air and aimed toward Glynn's hood.

Glynn dodged to the right, but the woman quickly followed up with a stab. Widening her eyes in surprise, Glynn was barely able to dodge it by twisting her body to the left. Now that the woman was open to attacks, Glynn delivered a hefty punch to her hood. However...

"Huh?"

...It barely cracked. Since the force behind Glynn's punch was unexpectedly weak, the woman wasn't stunned enough and instead slowly creaked her head back at Glynn.

"Got you," she wrote with jaggy words.

The woman kicked Glynn away and followed up with an overhead strike, which hit Glynn's hood.

Glynn felt as if her soul was knocked out. Her vision darkened, and for just a moment, all she could see was stars. Still in a daze, Glynn stood confusedly on her spot, making her the perfect target for the woman.

Seeing this, Katherine shouted, "snap out of it!"

As if that was all she needed to hear, Glynn recovered quickly and kicked back just in time before the woman could follow up on her attack. With cold sweat running down her back, Glynn touched her hood, which was almost broken. Soon, she could feel it healing back the damage that it had sustained.

'One more hit and I would've lost. What's up with my attack? Why was it so weak?'

"I have an explanation for that." Katherine pulled Glynn out of her thoughts.

'Tell me.'

"Your body... it changed somehow. Your soul has also changed, too. Your soul space turned into some sort of hellscape with rivers of blood and fire everywhere."

Suddenly, Kevin poked out from Glynn's body and shouted, "hey! It's not hell! It's the perfect environment for me, the Fist king!"

Glynn forcibly shoved Kevin back and said, 'continue.'

Katherine nodded. "Basically, your body is more suited for handling weapons now. And..." She hesitated to say her next words, but did anyway. "...It has the perfect constitution for my Art."

'You don't mean t—'

"Yes, I'll teach you all about it later. Now, focus! Don't you have an opponent before you?"

As soon as Glynn heard that, she immediately turned her attention back toward the woman, only to see her already half-way toward her with her shadow looming over Glynn. However, Glynn didn't even try to dodge. Instead, she bent down a little and snapped the shadow that was the woman's Zweihander apart.

Utilizing the moment when the woman was shocked at her only weapon being broken in half, Glynn brandished her new weapon—a shadow longsword—and dashed toward her. She swung her sword, only for her attack to be parried by the woman's half-broken sword.

Glynn glanced at the reddish fog that appeared where their swords met.

'So I can still see Chaos as Glynn.'

As such, she willed the Chaos to latch itself onto her sword. Since there was too little of it, only one side of her blade was covered, but that was more than enough. Immediately, the effect was apparently as Glynn quickly overpowered the woman and knocked the broken Zweihander out of her hand.

With her posture broken, the woman could do nothing but watch as Glynn's sword slashed at her hood, again and again.

The first second marked her first thrust.

The second second, Glynn grabbed the back of the woman's head and tried to slit her throat with her sword. Of course, the hood stopped her attack, but it still did damage regardless.

At the fourth second, Glynn swept the woman's legs and plunged the sword down her face as she fell down, adding the force of gravity to her attack.

At the sixth second, Glynn cheered inwardly as she saw that the woman's hood was just a couple of attacks away from breaking. However, before she could any deliver any more attacks, she suddenly saw a red text saying,

"Enough! [Reversal]!"

Then, Glynn's word was dyed red.

Confused, she glanced around frantically as soon as her vision returned, only to find out that she was still standing at the same spot. However, she soon noticed that she was in the middle of a thrust. The position she was in was familiar. It was almost as if she had just—

"You won't get me this time!" A line of red text suddenly appeared right in front of Glynn, startling her.

Before she could react, the woman grabbed Glynn's sword by the blade and redirected her attack to the ground. Then, with bloodshot eyes, she kneed Glynn's abdomen, sending her flying back for the third time.

Glynn clutched her abdomen in pain after she landed back safely on the ground and watched as the woman cracked her knuckles and reached her right arm into thin air. Soon, the space around her right arm distorted, and out came something transparent. Glynn had to squint her eyes hard to barely make out that the transparent object was actually a Zweihander that looked much more suited for the woman than the one she used before.

"Oi Erika! Are you sure you want to use your Imprinted weapon?!" Ander suddenly shouted with a mixture of worry and amusement.

In response, the woman—whose identity was Erika—grunted and got into a proper stance.

'So she's Erika! That's why Ander wanted me to fight her!'

With this new revelation, Glynn became more determined to win this fight than ever. If she beat Erika to a bloody pulp, then surely, she would hate her so much that no amount of matchmaking from Ander could convince her to marry Glynn.

Now, the problem was Erika's new weapon. It was transparent, so Glynn couldn't gauged the reach of it. It would be great if she could cover it in something more visible like the dirt underneath her, or even bloo—

Before Glynn could finish her thoughts, she was greeted with the most bizarre and absurd situation she had ever seen. Erika suddenly held her Zweihander in a reverse grip, and thrusted the sword into her own body, impaling her own abdomen.

As Glynn was still staring at Erika with widened eyes, shocked, Ander tried to jump in to intervene. However, he was stopped by a woman in her 30s with red hair and green eyes.

"Ander, don't you dare."

"What are you doing, Maria?" Ander shouted with a frown. "Let go of me! Glenn's going to die if this keeps going!"

'Me?' Glynn fell into even more confusion as she heard Ander's loud shout. 'Shouldn't he be more worried about Erika stabbing herself?'

The red-haired woman—Maria—knew something that Glynn didn't, and thus, held Ander back even more firmly.

"It's the headmaster's orders. He wants to see where this will go."

"Dammit!" Ander gritted his teeth in anger, but he could do nothing but watch the fight go on.

Though, he managed to shout one last time before he gave in to Maria's restrains.

"Erika, go easy on him! Glenn, be careful! I don't want you dead so soon!"

'Okay, now something's really up.'

Glynn wasn't going to take any chances so she readied herself for whatever Erika was about to throw at her. However, no amount of precautions could prepare Glynn for what was to come.

Erika pulled the sword out of herself as suddenly as she thrusted it in. Now, her sword was covered in her own blood, giving Glynn a somewhat clearer view of what it looked like. Just like she had guessed, it was a Zweihander, a very big one at that. However, it seemed to fit Erika more than the other one, somehow.

Strangely, Erika's self-inflicted wound wasn't bleeding. However, that was the least of Glynn's problem, as Erika suddenly swung her sword at Glynn despite not being anywhere near her. Unexpectedly, an arch made of blood flew toward Glynn as soon as Erika finished her swing, splitting through the air with a high-pitched sound.

Widening her eyes in surprise, Glynn dodged to the side. However, the blood tracked her somehow and hit her hood, slamming her into the ground. But the assault didn't stop there, as all the blood suddenly burst into bright flames.

Glynn could feel the intense heat eating away at her, but she managed to keep the pain all in.

'D-dammit... what the hell is this cheat-like power?'

As she confirmed that the hood was slowly healing back from the attack, Glynn quickly got up again and scanned her surroundings frantically. Erika was still standing on her spot, unmoving. Though, Glynn knew that she was just waiting for her to make a move before attacking again with that cheat-like blood-and-flame power.

However, what intrigued Glynn the most was the dense red fog that was around her.

'Chaos?'

This was good news, as Glynn couldn't actively produce Chaos without her Fire magic. Thus, she grabbed a handful of Chaos and smeared it all on her blade. Then, she dashed toward Erika.

As if anticipating this, Erika slashed again at Glynn, sending an arch of blood her way. However, with her shadow sword now full of Chaos, Glynn could cut through the blood with relative ease. Despite the blood exploding into flames as soon as they were cut apart, Glynn still powered through it and continued toward Erika. Luckily for her, the flames fueled the Chaos even more, turning all of what had happened into a feedback loop.

This continued until Glynn reached Erika. She swung her sword wildly, hoping to inflict any damage to Erika.

Erika parried Glynn's attacks with precision. However, most of the attacks still got through as Glynn overwhelmed her with sheer speed.

After a while, perhaps almost anticlimactically, Erika's hood broke due to the Chaos wearing it down so much. Surprised by the fact that she lost just like that, Erika fell to the ground, butt-first, in shock.

Glynn stabbed her sword into the ground right next to Erika triumphantly. She would have cheered loudly just to rub it in if it wasn't for the fact that she didn't want anyone to discover her powers.

'Well, it doesn't matter anyway. I won.'

She then directed her smug face toward Erika, wanting to see the appearance of the one whom Ander kept insisting that she married. However, her face couldn't help but contort into an expression of pure shock and disbelief as she saw who was on the ground before her.
