"Udon is nearby... We'll go there then"
Kiing seems to have his eyes on Udon, which is somewhat near Pa.
He thought of Kan too. It's pretty far away. It wouldn't take him long if he hurried there though.
Currently, he was at the beach of Pa. In his opinion, he thought that doing anything in a city like Pa would be bad, and starting at Udon would be better.
With these horns, people would think that he's some kind of mutant. He kind of is, but that's not the point. Kiing could've fly, I think.
If he went high enough, he wouldn't be seen by anbody. Maybe.
Kiing wasn't sure what he should do. He was there, thinking for a long time... long time. He was already reported.
"A male with horns and suspicious clothing!" Is what somebody, just now, is shouting at an unfortunate person in a nearby guild.
There were over a million people in Pa, so it's not much of a surprise. It's getting darker and darker though, which is good for him. If he manages to go unnoticed by the time the twilight goes into night, he'll be able to freely roam, as his outfit itself is very dark. And of course, roam freely outside of any town, since all populated places do light up when it's dark enough.
Right now, Kiing was under a cliff, so he might be able to get away with it, without even knowing that he has been reported to a guild. If he were to be seen, the dispatched party would try to subjugate him. If Kiing were to annihilate the party which is looking for him, he'd most likely become wanted, but if he were to, for some reason, hide the bodies, which seems to be the safest option for him if he preferred solitude, he'd likely still be wanted, but the likelihood will be pushed to his favor.
Now, exploring what would happen if he killed them and is now wanted, the government knows well of his strength, they'd probably call for a united front against him, which would create a terrible ending for him. The Resistance would probably try to get their hand on him, but Kiing probably wouldn't cooperate.
It seems like there are already scouts looking for Kiing.
"Hmph, seems like they have scheduled scouts to look around." Or perhaps somebody was missing.
Kiing thought that he should hide and hear what they have to say. He's sure that interesting information would come out of the mouths of the scouts.
He made his fingers into claws and went high up on one of the many cliffs.
"Seems like this area is clear." "Tell the commander. Also, could you come back to tell me the situation of all the other groups?"
How fortunate, but this time it wasn't Kiing's luck. It seems like he's capable of manipulating people, even he doesn't know how far he can go with it. Making other people say what he wants them to say is a great ability, but it could end up horribly if he doesn't play it right.
"Eh? I guess, sure."
"Sorry, I am just worried about this whole thing as a whole." He pulled it off.
"Wait... why did I say that?" Hm? Right, if you make them talk, they'll be aware that they didn't mean to say that.
- Damn this... Kiing didn't feel like being patient anymore. He'd prefer to just kill them, but thankfully for him, he composed himself.
Noises of a person with... some kind of armor, could be heard. "7 out of the 8 groups have reported that they haven't spotted the described entity." Described entity.. they sure give him a hard time
"No way, were they all lying then? So many people claim that they saw a man with horns, yet he isn't here, did he perhaps go into the city?!"
"Calm down! We shall not panic." The very same guy that said that, also feels somewhat sick, to be exact, he felt sick ever since he went near Kiing.
"Enough playtime." Kiing created a clone of himself. It looked like Kiing, but in fully dark purple color. He changed how the hair looked, what the clone wore, body structure, facial features... The clone had claws too, which it used to keep itself hanging.
Kiing ordered it to be aggressive towards these poor people, through physical contact of their heads.
It jumped on top of the cliff and sliced both of them. It's strong claws penetrated their armor easily. The clone also sliced their necks to prevent them attracting anybody through screams.
"I'll leave now. Good luck" Kiing looked both ways, north and south. North didn't seem to have as much light, so he sprinted off that way. While sprinting, he heard screams from his back.
The cliffs blocked his view to the actual beach, in which there was a strong light. In short, he messed up. To the north, there are more and more cliffs, while to the south the cliffs get smaller and less in numbers.
He thought that it'd be fine to kill a few, since it'd likely be presumed that the monster he left actually did it. It's not like he really wanted to kill them though.
Kiing also noticed that there are many lights to the beach just about directly under him. Too late to turn around now. If he were to be spotted, it'd be confirmed that there are at least two "monsters" in the area. He'd need to massacre them all in order to escape successfully.
Or maybe use his... miasma, which that word, miasma, seems to suit what he used to manipulate the poor boy earlier, or in other words, turn everybody into his own servants and work for him.
He actually thought of that. However, Kiing quickly realised that doing so would risk a failure, with a probability of failure much higher than he'd like it to be, since he has never done such thing, he naturally won't be able to pull it off easily. If he did fail though, it'd take him to the worst possible outcome he could think of.
No problem for him, because something popped up in his mind.
"Wait for them to call out for everybody to stop the monster while being hidden... that might work." Is what he said to himself. Sometimes, he tends to slip some words outside of his mind. And, sometimes, they're louder than he'd ever like it to be.
Yeah... he was heard by somebody.
"Who's there?!" It was one of the scouts, he guessed.
He thought of saying "Group 7!", but what if group 7 ends up being the one patrolling the commander? Ugh!- he expressed himself in his mind.
- Calm... alright!
"Hello!?"
"Hey! Who's there?" Interesting move by Kiing.
"It's group 7, we're still checking out for any leftovers by the reported entity."
"Good! It's clear here. I'm leaving it to you down there!"
"Mhm!"
That went surprisingly well. Manipulating them through talking, I guess that's one way to do the trick.
However... He'd be heard. The concern to the appointed scouts is quite high. So anyone nearby would come to check things out.
Not too far away, there's something like a large river, or, calling it a lake might better word. It goes not too deep inside the continent, and it also splits Pa into two parts- South and North. There isn't so much difference.
Well, there are some buildings in the style of Shikinino in the south. Some in the north too.
By style, I mean taller buildings, not necessarily actually tall, but taller than most other nations. Windows also are built somewhat different in Shikinino than in ChanPaKan. Overall not so much difference. Talking about difference, there are groups of countries with similar style of building.
Shikinino, Hirom and Nidon have somewhat similar look.
ChanPaKan, Folort and Menish have not so close style, but if one who visited all three countries, and were asked if Menish, Folort and ChanPaKan have similar building style, they'd say that ChanPaKan is closest to Menish, and Folort is somewhat messy, some of both. Actually many styles would be seen... There's a reason for that.
Then we have Perera, it has the most unique house design out of all, which is likely due to it's geography. Geloh also isn't in a group, together with Perera.
However, there's one thing all countries have in common. That is those gigantic towers. Kan especially, is an enormous tower, which goes from not too deep into the ground, all the way to the clouds. The reason it still hasn't fallen apart is not just because of good design, but actually, it's design isn't even that great- at least in my opinion. It actually is stable and doing great because of all those strong guys maintaining it thanks to their gifts from who knows who, which gift gives them great manipulation of earth.
Oops... I think I talked too much. We'll talk later about that!
So, Kiing might have been heard by somebody through his conversation with some guy who heard him talking to himself. Since he shouted, he might attract attention to a few people at least. He didn't realise it until it was late.
Back to the point of view of the monster, not Kiing, but the one which he made. It already attracted enough attention. It can't really think well, I guess.
Slice, slice, slice... all groups probably know now. "An entity with short legs, unusually long arms with small horns" Is exactly what has been reported to be the shape of the monster to the head of the check up mission.
Eh... if it was me, I wouldn't say that description fits Kiing. Wait, it doesn't fit Kiing, does that mean... ... Oh, no, anyway!
"That sure doesn't look much like what has been reported by the so many people. Shouldn't this monster be somewhat bigger in height, and also from a distance the small horns probably wouldn't even be noticed."
There was a group of three, the commander and her two assistants.
"True, that could mean that it's more than just one."
"Just that one caused to many casualties, if there were two of them, that'd be a problem."
"Let's hear what the last group has to say. I'll decide then."
That doesn't really sound fortunate for Kiing. Already wanted? I guess that the fortune earlier costed this... that fortune did bring him to this situation now though.
Let's see now. Kiing seems to be crossing the water. Ugh, wait what? What is he doing? If he jumped to the sand, it'd make a clear hint that something large has been here, and jumping straight on the water from the cliff would make a noise loud enough to reach a scout or two... I guess that Kiing has moments where he isn't so bright. Wait, he could fly. Right... let's hope he thought of it!
Hm, he sure is a fast swimmer. I guess that if he manages to swim to the other end, which is quite far away, he might be able to lose them.
"I was sure I heard something!" "Could it be that there being a second monster is true?!" "No way!" "This isn't very good."
The soldiers gathered don't seem to have a positive tone to this. It seems like they might already know about that clone from a while ago.
Kiing was also already aware of them. His mind is blank. Like, literally.
I guess that he's thinking about the whole situation. Maybe all the babble the water makes? Or he's relying on survival instincts? That would REALLY be bad.
Kiing was now far away from his one and only friend. In less than 10 minutes, he made it to the other side. Amazing! That's actually super fast!
His friend now has just it's legs and head. This commander woman sure is dangerous. She cut his two arms like they're spaghetti.
So many cheers... "You handled that like cake!" "She sure is on another league!" "For her to be able to beat it up so bad easily while it was beating us up so bad easily just shows how strong she is!" "Woah, woah!"
They really didn't stop. More died than she expected to die, she actually didn't expect any deaths... it was somewhat sad. There are many dead bodies. Well, it seems like there are many with a few glances.
"Let's find the next one." Everybody went to their positions... As they walk in formation, they look like a line. It looked longer previously though. The commander in front of them, behind her the soldiers, and behind the soldiers the two assistants of the commander. A girl and a boy.

"She sure is cautious, I guess for a good reason. We caught you demon." Ah...
"How clever... I don't have time to fool around with you." - "For sure you don't. If I stall you here, we'll be able to make a good illustration of these sinister horns and your nice face." Nice face? Uhh... must be sarcastic. Anyway, Kiing is seen now. By the looks of it, there are still several minutes by the time it's very dark.
The man who cornered him isn't an adventurer. He wore glasses, or... overall, you can just tell that he's a professional simply by his looks.
He had a sword, not so heavy armor. The sword was somewhat big, it really isn't much of a greatsword though. The armor looked tough.
Kiing fell down to his knees and looked to the ground. His claws stabbed the ground and grew inside, to form energy throughout the ground, then attack his opponent quickly and efficiently.
"Hmmm, not nice. Let me see your handsome face." - Ehhh? What's wrong with this guy? Kiing couldn't really tell if that man was sarcastic.
His preparations are done. Something like a cage appeared from the ground and closed the guy inside it. He closed it and focused a lot of energy into this cage, or box... or... whatever you wanna call it. He wants to trap him with it and run off.
That's a good idea! Smart Kiing. He'd be happy by that compliment.
"Hey, that isn't nice!" Kiing didn't dare to look behind, if he were to continue sprinting, he'd likely lose him, after all, that guy has armor on him. Wait... what the heck!?
That guy is flying! He is using flames to boost himself! His armor doesn't seem to take any effect from that strong flame.
Kiing isn't happy by those news!
"Be a good boy and surrender. It's your last chance. My name is Vil, what about you?" Kiing didn't stop sprinting.
"Make sure to remember it! Kiing!" He said something stupid! It came out of his mouth as if he was waiting for exactly this!
While saying that, he jumped with a larger arm- an arm similar to the one he formed against Divyansh to fight back.
There's a difference between a strong wyvern and some random guy who controls fire though! And also, the guy has leather clothing which doesn't seem to be affected by his fire. Interesting. Still!
Instead of crushing him, he grabbed Vil and then proceeded to throw him against the wall, which held a cliff stable. This time, south the hills are bigger, north the hills are smaller. It also doesn't look like to be very natural either.
That created quite the noise. Vil didn't get out of that hole. Seems like he merely tried to grab as much information as he could from Kiing and survive.
Of course he'd run away after seeing my abilities!- Is what Kiing thought.
Kiing grew more and more tired. He seems to get exhausted quicker in the New World than in the Old World.
Further north, there seems to be a port. It sure would be nice if there was a ride for south, right? Well, there doesn't seem to be, at least to me.
Only if he could rest somewhere. Not yet- Kiing thought.
That's because he saw a person approaching.
"Hello, I am Kija. Nice to meet you, horny man."
"Hey. Want your butt kicked too?"
"Hm, no. I'm an ally. I can help." Kiing knew that he could betray him, but he took the bait.
"Fine. Bring me to your place without anybody noticing us then." Kiing tested him. It seems like he's planning something.
Kija smiled.
"That is an easy job, is it not? My house is over there." He points behind himself. Kiing was growing curious of this guy.
They had a nice walk. I guess. Kijas house looked like the average house of ChanPaKan. For him to have a house in such a place though... he must be rich- is what Kiing thought.
"So, why are you my ally?" Kija was open to it.
"I'm a witness of what you just went through."
Wait... so this guy already knows about him?
"It's there clothes." Kiing made a great guess.
"Indeed." Indeed, what a word. Just because Kiing had purple clothes, Kija decided to be his ally and face the whole world. Surely this is the work of... Well, anyway.
"Where's the bed?"
Seems like he was ready to rest. Kija opened a door which led to a room with a desk, without a chair, and a bed.
"I can't rest yet. They'll come back here." Kija was smart about it, but Kiing didn't really seem to care as much.
So weird. This just doesn't feel right. It really doesn't. Kiing decided to be thankful for this opportunity, and he fell asleep.
About 30 minutes later, a lot of noise could've been heard from outside the house.
Knock Knock
Kija opened the door. He made sure to not let them enter.
"Hello, mister Kija! There has been a confirmed enemy entity around this area! We have to ask, have you seen them? It's a man who's about this tall, with horns, dark purple outfit, well shaped face with blue eyes!"
"Hmm, no, I haven't seen anything like that. I was actually sleeping until a few minutes ago."
"Oh, I see! Apologies! We'll trust your words!"
Kiing heard the conversation. So he can be trusted.- Is what Kiing was happy about.
He really was happy in his head. Who'd think that such a scary looking man would be happy that he made a friend?
As it becomes pitch black outside, Kiing fell asleep.
"Ugh, where am I?" Kiing said in a tone, with which you can tell that he was sleepy.
If Kija were to say something along the lines of "You're in my house.", Kiing would most likely slice Kija very quick.
Good thing he actually wasn't around though. Or, that's at least what Kiing sees from his eyes.
The room had no windows, so it was pretty dark.
He opened the door and it became pretty bright.
Together with the sudden bright light, he realised where he was, and what happened.
"Good morning, Kiing. I've prepared fruits for breakfast." He's like a... or, actually, whatever. He's caring. He prepared apples, pears, bananas and a few oranges. Bananas... without the train technology, we wouldn't have such things as bananas here.- Kiing thought as he ate one. ChanPaKan isn't a producer of Bananas. They come from Perera, Nidon and Hirom.
"Ugh, I can't waste any time. Kija, for how long do you think you could cover me?"
...
"I am not sure."
"Kija, I need you to realise that I can't stay here. I need to find a path to the town to the south, Udon." He actually didn't really need to.
"You need to go there?"
"No. Not really. I know what I'll do next, and going there is part of it all."
Seems like there's gonna be more action.
More action... in the next chapter!
