I ran…
I ran and ran.
After disassembling the bodies into pieces and stuffing them all into large plastic garbage bags, I hid somewhere within their house.
Once I ‘borrowed’ a change of clothes from their house, I fled the neighborhood as the sunset.
I can’t go back home.
It would only be a matter of time before they found the bodies I hid.
As I was running to god knows where it suddenly started raining all of a sudden.
I didn’t bring an umbrella, so I started getting drenched quickly.
“Haa….haah….haa…haah.” I was breathing heavily as I kept running.
I’d want nothing more than to go back home, lay on my bed, and sleep.
There was indeed nothing more than I wanted.
I was tired.
All this, just for me to return to the world where I was happy with her.
What was I thinking?
That taste of happiness I’ve had should’ve been enough.
I should’ve never searched for more than that.
I should’ve been content with my life here already…
Why am I always so selfish?
Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?
I don’t know…
I don’t know anything anymore…!
Why I killed two people…!?
Why I didn’t have enough…!?
Why didn’t I just give up…!?
Why was I this selfish with my actions…!?
My moral compass has already gone off the rails.
There was already no saving someone like me who succumbed to insanity.
I had used murder as a means to an end, and yet why am I still standing in this world?
“Kill, and you shall be given what you desire.”
I stopped running and looked at the grey skies above as water droplets continued to fall.
“Lilith…!!” I screamed her name aloud out of frustration.
But nothing happened the moment after.
I wasn’t transported to that world, nor could I see any sign of Lilith appearing before me.
It was a hopeless situation.
Have I murdered two people for nothing more than a faint hope?
A faint hope that Lilith gave to me?
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” I cried out as tears started to fall down my cheeks along with the rainwater.
Standing alone in the rain with no one nearby.
“Kill me…” I muttered softly.
I’m such a ridiculous person.
Why did I take the roundabout method of murder when I could’ve just started talking to Alisa myself? I could’ve just improved my social skills, and no one would’ve been hurt by it.
I’m a hypocrite…
What I did was the complete opposite of what I stand for.
I took and ruined two girls’ lives.
They could’ve had a bright future, and yet… I took that away from them.
I didn’t have the right to do that, but I still did.
I wonder what’s wrong with me…?
There’ve been plenty of people in situations worse than mine. Yet, I’m the only one who has murdered for illogical reasons alone.
I’m sure I’ll be sent to a mental hospital if I get arrested.
People wouldn’t even believe me if I told them that a devil had told me to kill.
They’d think of me as insane, and yes, they’d be correct about it.
Insane is just the right word to describe someone as delusional as me.
“I’m tired….” I uttered as I dropped to my knees on the ground.
I couldn’t bear to think about this while standing up.
I closed and rested my eyes for a few moments, and when I opened them, I saw a wet piece of paper in front of me on the ground.
The same type of paper that mysteriously appeared in my room.

“Could this be…?”
The paper was wet; however, what was written on it was still visible.
“- Kill yourself.“
I see… even Lilith is abandoning me.
Killing myself… yeah, let’s do it.
I’m tired of this world.
I’m tired of living.
I’m tired of hurting people.
I stood up and looked around where I was.
I didn’t mind my surroundings earlier when I was running, but right now, I am in some sort of public park.
The skies had gone completely dark, and no other people were around besides the passing vehicles on the road.
“Let’s go….” I then proceeded to drag myself to the park exit.
A few minutes later, I stood on the sidewalk, waiting for a vehicle to come and ram my body.
Surely enough, there was a large truck steadily coming.
I readied myself and my legs.
The moment the truck had gotten near enough, I jumped to the road on the lane it was traversing. With the heavy rain and dark sky, the driver wouldn’t be able to see me fast enough for them to avoid me.
At that moment, time felt like it had slowed down as the truck was only a few meters in front of me.
“I…finally did it.”
*Thud*
I could only utter a few words before my body was sent flying.
The moment I landed on the ground, I also lost consciousness as I landed head-first.
Was there any passerby to scream at my death?
Did the driver realize they hit a person and killed them?
I don’t know…

“Congratulations…”
“…”
“Hm… did I go too far?”
In the unknown world, Lilith musingly stared at Iven’s unconscious body lying on the stone ground. “My mistake… I might’ve broken him by accident.”
“What a waste… he was such a valuable piece too, but… that was really unexpected, fake or not, this boy killed two people in a row. Really, what a waste.”
“…But, it’s on him to accept too.” Lilith sighed in disappointment as she raised her right hand.
As she opened her mouth and was about to speak, Iven’s body suddenly twitched. “Hm? Wait… so he’s still alive after, hahaha….” Lilith lowered her hand and crouched.
Placing the palm of her right hand on Iven’s forehead, she chants a few words.
“Contract enforcement, awaken.”
Iven’s body twitched a few more times until his eyes finally opened. “Ahh…ahh…”
“I see now, so he’s still alive, but his mind, his heart doesn’t seem to be present,” Lilith voiced as she stood up straight. “Mngh!” Stretching her arms upwards for a few moments.
“Ahh…Ahh.”
Lilith then proceeds to grab Iven by the head, and then with a large amount of force, she slams his head to the ground.

“Congratulations… you did well,” I woke up and saw a familiar figure standing in front of me. “Huh? Heh? Huh?” I uttered in confusion as I awoke standing.
Rubbing my eyes for a few moments, I recognized the figure in front of me along with the environment.
I was in that world.
And Lilith was standing in front of me.
Suddenly, I started to get a massive headache.
“Gah…!!!” I cried out in agony.

“What…! Are these?!” I voiced in a hoarse voice.
“That’s… your memories.”
“…Mi…me?”
“That’s right, you killed people in the dream world I made for you, desperate to return here.
“Dream…world?” All of a sudden, the headache started to slowly die down.
“That’s right… it was just a dream for you,” Lilith said in the most innocent-sounding voice ever.
“Ah… I see… just a dream, ahaha….”
I’m tired.
