Turning her focus from her realm. Terra Stars looked out the window. The nice weather made her smile. The sky was a wide-open space, reaching everywhere yet only encompassing this one planet of many. Illusive and cramped when seen from another perspective, like the federal relief house she lived in. One small bedroom, one tiny living room, and one kitchen, enough to live fine but it was nothing to thrive in.

She left the cramped place and headed to a cheap restaurant nearby. With her focus being on Gaia the recent days, Terra Stars didn’t have time to cook for herself. Not that she could cook well anyways.

The sound of firecrackers exploded from nearby. She looked down the street and saw an oversized firecracker being lit. A lot of the people around begun to discuss.

“Is the butcher making a lot of money?”

“Making a lot of money? He wouldn’t be this happy when making a lot of money.”

“No, it’s his daughter. She awakened a medium-level energy realm, and she has been taken as a disciple by a third-level realm ruler.”

“What?!”

“Aye, she will have good results in college entrance examination. Getting admitted to a good university or college.”

The chatter spread over to Terra Stars. The topic that interest her was the college entrance examination. In this world, to go to any tertiary education one must take the college entrance examination. There were differences between colleges, so marks mattered.

Terra Stars wasn’t too worried about exams, the analysis system worked outside of her realm too and she had done practice papers with its help. After a few practices and precision questions, she would have the paper done in her mind with just a thought. This made her goal of entering the top universities easy theoretically.

Outside of the theory exams there were realm exams. A kind of combat test for entering the places that had far more resources than most places. Terra Stars had confidence in her realm and the people of Gaia. ‘They have been making good progress and it should be possible to plunder more Origin Essence with the power they have developed already. I should introduce the true power of combustion’, she thought as she ate.

She wasted no time on her meal, she swiftly returned home. Terra Stars focused on her realm space again. Looking over the army of Babylon and entering thought. In other realms, the inhabitants were almost all combatants. Gaia was different, there was a whole bunch of non-combatants.

Terra Stars wasn’t careless and made sure Babylon’s army continued to increase. The Great Discovery Army reached 30,000. In the army, the cavalry team reached 10,000. All the soldiers continued to train hard every day.

On the northern grasslands, Terra Stars saw a team of soldiers besieged a mammoth elephant. Unlike the elephant of Earth, it was a unique creature of Gaia. It’s general characteristics was a combination of both mammoth and an elephant with incredible size.

Now that Gaia had grown in diameter, the growth of some creatures continued to increase to mega-fauna. The characteristics of these creatures were not much different to others, just bigger and heavier. This is only a recent change as of Kai’s generation. Just the creatures had not reached ordinary maximum size yet, so signs are only discernible in recent years.

The evolution of Gaia continued to only have similarities to Earth, but on occasion different creatures came about. This led to some species that never existed on Earth to exist. Like trident fish and these giant elephants.

To deal with such a behemoth the soldiers needs incredible skill. A chain of arrows being shot from bows hit the wild elephant with accuracy. Their impact were very limited. Within the volley of arrows, Terra noticed an arrow that moved noticeably different to the rest.

The speed of most maxed out at 100 metres per second. The odd arrow was moving much faster than the rest, at more than 150 metres per second. Terra Stars checked it carefully. Her abilities as the realm ruler found the originally iron arrow had been reforged with metals that were not iron.

The soldier who used it improvised once it broke since there was no spare iron to use. Looking closely Terra Stars found out that she doesn’t know what metal was used with the bits of iron.

“This… a unique material of Gaia?” Terra guessed.

Realms not only produce unique energies and species, things like minerals could also appear with certain conditions. Terra Stars wouldn’t notice the metals formed within the ground. Her primary senses rely on vitality so inorganic matter like extraordinary metals meant she could only wait for the people of Babylon to dig them up.

After observing the arrow for half a day, she found it a little unbelievable. The properties exhibited by this unknown metal was very much like a certain science fiction work from Earth. Wondering if it could really be the same metal she went to find the aging Kai.

Since she focused on teaching Charles in his early years. Terra Stars hadn’t seen Kai in some years. He had grown visibly old now, his temples were wrinkled, and his hair was white. Barely above the age of forty, he had become like this, slowly withering away, and losing weight.

Kai was excited to see Terra. Since it had been so long since Terra gave him any messages, the order she gave to uncover the unknown metal was started without a moments waste.

Getting the soldier’s story, they learn where it was found. In the northern grasslands. With swift actions, more of the unknown metal was dug up. At first glance it was ordinary, just like any other metal. If not to the evident difference in arrows spotted by Terra Stars, no one would pay it any attention.

Kai had it escorted back to the palace, to his private laboratory. Setting some elites from the Great Discovery Army as guards. Since his teacher showed interest in it, he made sure it was secure.

“Teacher, what is this?” Kai held a piece of the unknown metal. As an expert in materials, he was shocked he didn’t recognize it.

“First experiment to measure it’s properties.” Since she did not know the exact details, Terra pushed researching it to Kai.

Her guessed is it was like vibranium. Known for being vibration absorbing steel, the metal in the fiction had a huge amount of uses and allowed for great technology. Her hopes were not high for it being a replication of the fictional material of her old world. But even if it was not vibranium, it should have something good about it.

Kai experimented with the unknown metal. Although his main specialty was material science, except a few known disciplines such as medicine, Kai could be considered an all-rounder in research. So his methods were the latest Babylon had to offer.

The first results came out. The metal did not conduct heat well and was very tough. Terra Star’s sidelined hopes for it being vibranium were dashed when some was destroyed. She knew the vibranium of fiction. It was normally indestructible, and its molecular structure made it capable of absorbing many kinds of energy.

But Terra Stars was not disappointed. The hardness of the unknown metal was still very impressive, taking dozens of consecutive swings of a sledgehammer to break it. And the results of the second test surprised her. The metal could absorb sound into its own potential energy.

The reason she discovered it in the first place was because it flew so much faster. Forging new arrows from the metal showed different result when the archer shouted at different volumes. Strangely enough, it only works with human voices. No matter the sound of other tools, they had no effect.

“Is it a weakened version of vibranium?” Terra asked in her heart.

She was just happy to see her realm formed a material like this already. Gaia had only just awakened and usually it would be some time before something extraordinary like real vibranium appeared. Seeing a weakened version of it appeared now, she found it quite acceptable.

The tests continued to discover the characteristics of the metal. The results were as Terra guessed. It was a weakened version of vibranium. It could absorb heat, and kinetic energy to increase its potential energy to a certain extent.

“Teacher! Please give this metal a name!” Kai’s expression was just like a child with a new toy. He asked for Terra Stars’ input.

“Just call it… yea, Vibranium.” She couldn’t be bothered to choose a new name.

With the characteristics of Gaia’s vibranium roughly tested. A hush order was set in place. Complete secrecy was upheld, and some trusted soldiers were sent to mine the rest of the ore vein. The applications of vibranium became part of Kai’s agenda.

With a few tests done, the unique characteristics of vibranium wholly shocked Kai and the other scholars who researched it. They worked out it did not just absorb human voices to gather immediate energy, vibranium could also absorb human voice and turn it into potential energy. This was something Terra Stars understood earlier in this testing, Gaia’s school of physics has yet to develop its terms and understanding far enough to outright understand what the metal was doing.

After overturning the whole grasslands, they found only a hundred kilograms of vibranium. A very limited amount and considering its particularity the amount was acceptable enough. With the limited amount, majority was used in bows and arrows.

With the previously unknown material in Kai’s hands. Terra no longer cared about it. She checked her realm data panel. With the continual increase of the human population and other creatures in Gaia, some numbers had changed.

Realm name: Gaia

Realm Level: 1

Realm diameter: 355.3 kilometres.

Realm Species: 1234

Analysis Result: A growing realm with some semblance to Earth if you don’t look hard. The foundation for science and technology civilization is nearing perfection. Extraordinary things are appearing in this seemingly ordinary realm

The diameter increased a lot. With each extra kilometre, the planetoid’s surface area increased greatly. The number of unique species had slowed down with the lack of extreme time acceleration. Terra Stars was satisfied with her data.
