Five enormous aircraft descended from the sky, sending dust and debris swirling in their wake as they landed among the city's ruins. The ground trembled beneath the weight of the massive aircraft as soldiers, dressed in sleek black suits of armor that accentuated their formidable strength, disembarked.
The soldiers took their formation with caution, their guns at the ready. Leading the way was a soldier with a distinctive mark on his mask, indicating his higher rank and authority. He moved closer to a gaping hole in the side of the hall, surveying the scene with a practiced eye.
"Get the ropes," he commanded, his voice crisp and authoritative. The soldiers behind him saluted in response and quickly set to work, unloading thick ropes from the aircraft. They expertly secured the ropes around sturdy supports, creating a secure rappelling point for the soldiers to descend into the hole.
“Group Z and B will stay here” He commanded to the soldiers in front, they all listened attentively to him
“The rest will follow me” With that said, he signaled for his troops to move out, and together they disappeared into the gaping hole
.,....
As the soldiers descended deep underground, they moved with precision, taking their positions as they had been trained to do. The silence was interrupted only by the sound of their breathing and the occasional
"Clear"
"Clear"
"Clear"
called out by each member of the team as they scanned their respective sectors for any signs of danger. The leader of the unit, his face obscured by a sleek helmet, gave the command to move forward. They then advanced deeper into the darkness, their weapons at the ready.
As they approached a heavily damaged gate, the team moved with increased caution, their senses heightened as they searched for any potential threats. But what lay beyond the gate was not what they had expected. The chamber was bathed in a soft blue light, and on either side stood statues each bearing a sword that had been driven deep into the ground. In the center of the chamber, on a raised platform, stood a throne, and seated in the darkness was a figure with piercing blue eyes that seemed to stare into the very souls of the soldiers.
The leader of the unit, his helmet now removed, approached the figure and spoke
"ETO1, it's been a long time."
But the figure, ETO1, remained silent and rose from the throne, passing by the leader without a word. The leader, taken aback by ETO1's dismissive behavior, called out to him,
"Wait, I need to speak with you."
But ETO1 only replied curtly, "Mission is complete, that is all that needs to be said."
One of the soldiers, his anger rising at ETO1's disregard for authority, stepped forward to confront him. "You can't speak to the general like that, who do you think you are?"
ETO1 met the soldier's gaze and replied with a cold detachment, "Nobody"
The soldier, his anger turning to fury, moved to grab ETO1 but was stopped by the leader.
"Private Lester, stand down," he warned, his voice firm but calm. "trust me, he is not someone to be trifled with."
The soldier reluctantly stepped back, grumbling under his breath as ETO1 passed by without a second glance but he spoke once more
"And Poh, be careful of the statues"
With that, The leader, Poh watched ETO1 disappear into the shadows, his expression unreadable.
'What did he mean by that" He looks toward the statues with a questionable look
The team regrouped around the throne, focusing on the task at hand. Poe ordered two soldiers, John and Leroy, to set the explosives.

The two soldiers, John and Leroy, quickly retrieved the explosives and approached the throne. They carefully placed the charges around the base of the throne.
"Will this be enough, Sarge?" asked one of the soldiers, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.
Poh waved his hand dismissively. "Don't worry, it will be more than enough," he assured.
The team moved back a safe distance, taking cover behind nearby debris as the leader prepared to detonate the charges. With a final glance around the chamber, he pressed the button.
*BOOM*
The explosion was loud, the force of the blast sending debris flying in every direction. The soldiers waited for the dust to settle. But as the smoke cleared, they saw to their dismay that the throne was still standing, unscathed by the explosion.
"What? How is it still standing?!"
"Again!" Commanded Poh
John and Leroy quickly planted more explosives and the leader detonated them in succession, one after another. Each blast sent ripples of heat and debris throughout the chamber,
BOOM
"AGAIN!"
BOOM
"AGAIN!"
but still, after several attempts, the throne remained standing as if mocking their attempts.
"Holy fuck, that throne took all our explosives" one of the soldiers exclaimed in disbelief
Poh put his hand below his chin in thought, weighing their options. Suddenly, a shout from the rear of the formation caught his attention.
"Sarge! The shadows, they're moving!"
But that wasn't the only problem they had, Poh noticed something that was far from anything he had seen. The soldiers noticed his horrorstruck gaze and turned to look as well. The statues, which they had believed to be inanimate, were now animated, their eyes glowing with a sinister light.
One of the statues bared its teeth in a twisted grin as if relishing the fear it was causing.
…….
ETO1 stood alone atop a crumbling building, his gaze fixed upon the dark horizon. The howling of the wind was the only sound that could be heard as he surveyed the ruined landscape before him. He was a solitary figure, dressed in a sleek black suit of armor, his face obscured by a featureless mask.
As he stood there, he heard the distant howling, and he caught sight of shadows moving in the distance, a horde of them approaching, not for him but for the soldiers below.
However, ETO1 made no move to join them. He simply stood there, watching with interest as the soldiers below began firing at the approaching shadows. The sound of gunfire filled the air as their battle raged on
Why? Well, he was not part of this fight, his mission was already done, he had fulfilled his task and now all that remains is to leave. With a final glance, he turned and disappeared into the darkness.
As he walked away, one might have thought him callous, or perhaps even ruthless, but he was neither of those things. He knew what he was capable of, and what his limits were.
But most importantly, A person who knew the value of life and death
