Chapter 2: System Primer – Rank and Aspects

Ranks and aspects are the basic measure  for progress.

The base efficiency of things is multiplied by their rank, while aspects are used to measure specific personal improvements.

 

Rank 0: Base

This rank offers o access to the system. Most sentient beings are born at this rank.

Rank 1: Awakening

This is the first rank, which provides access to system and magic. It allows use of at least 100% of the base capabilities of a person or object.

Rank 1-10: Mortal

The improved base capabilities result in lifespan roughly doubling each rank.

Rank 11-20: Ascendant (Living Legend)

At this ranks it is possible to obtain pseudo immortality through skills.

Rank 21-30: Eternal (Godling)

The ranks marking true immortality. Here it is possible to create a soul space.

Rank 31-40: Transcendent (God)

The ranks, where the soul space becomes a self-sustaining inner world.

Rank 41: Creator: At this rank the inner world is stable enough to integrate into the world as a side realm.

Rank 42: World-Seed: The final ranks marks a slow fusion with the realm. This results in it becoming a separate world.

 

Aspects are used as a numeric system to measure improvement. These aspects are Life, Acceleration and Weight. They are often shortened to the acronym L A W.

Life describes the capability for healing and energy regeneration.

Acceleration describes the speed of actions and thoughts.

Weight describes resistance against being moved or stopped.

100 is the maximum baseline. The numeric score therefore represents the percentage increase an aspect grants to its function.

An aspects rank is considered equal to its value divided by 100 (rounded down).

Aspects can be increased through training.

The effort required to raise an aspect value by one roughly doubles every ten points..
