Chapter 3: C003—Rein Will Reign

Archy was thrilled with his first achievement. "They put the puzzle everywhere! If that's the case, I need to think carefully about every action I take."

Even though he had just been testing out some random ideas earlier, now he has the opportunity to play as a unique race.

Archy was stunned, 'Wait!'

"Gaia, who's Sakuya?"

Maybe he barely touch any MMORPG game, but he never heard a race called Sakuya.

❝ Sakuya is a clan, they're a human race in the early stage of mankind and they got a supernatural power to change their existence to become a spirit ❞

"Ah, a clan? Is the Sakuya clan still around this world?" Archy wanted to gather any information that could assist him in playing as that race.

❝ None of them live on the main planet, and that's why we want to bring back this Unique Race, You're the chosen one ❞

Archy was taken aback by Gaia's statement, 'If Gaia also wants there to be many races in this game, shouldn't there already be a lot of them from the beginning to choose?'

"Gaia, are there any other races besides humans on this planet?"

❝ Gaia can't answer your question ❞

Archy was once again lost in his thoughts, and he began to uncover hidden knowledge that was not widely known. Even Kiara, who is part of the Top 10% of Players, never told him about the other races.

'The human race is just the beginning. If that's the case...'

"GAIA! HOW MANY RACES ARE THERE IN THE WORLD?!"

Archy was taken aback by the response, and now he was lost even deeper than ever, the eager to solve the mystery as soon as possible is so high at the moment.

However, he realized that if the information had not reached the public, it was not meant to be easily shared. He decided to ask Kiara about it later.

'She may know better than me.'

Archy didn't want to get sidetracked and lose sight of his ultimate goal in playing Crossof Realm—to conquer the world. He decided to let the mystery unfold on its own.

"I have to focus on my journey!

"Gaia! Let me acknowledge it!"

A blue notification screen appears in front of him.

[ (!) Your previous race will disappear, still want to acknowledge it? ]

"YES!"

—DING!

"Did they also change the benefits? Because Sakuya is a Unique Race... the benefits will be better, right?"

Even though there's a notification pop-up, Archy isn't paying much attention to it because...

"What's going on here? Why am I surrounded by clouds of dust all of a sudden? Is this some kind of curse or something?" Archy was surprised as he suddenly found himself surrounded by dust that seemed to appear out of nowhere.

The dust is enveloping him, making him feel like a bag of trash that has attracted flies.

—Swoosh–

Archy can never relax in this game.

Previously, it was clouds of dust. Now, a large chunk of silver stone suddenly sped toward Archy and stopped right in front of him. This draws his attention away from the notification pop-up on the screen.

Not only is there a slab of silver stone, but there is also a metal stick on top of it.

Archy is getting too excited at this point.

All of the events happening constantly intrigue his heart, "Maybe I could die if this continues," said the former professional player of the VR-FPS genre, who has always been shot by random bullets.

❝ Carve your nickname in this stone ❞

❝ Don't forget about the hopes you want to bring into the world ❞

The dust continued to circle Archy, but he paid it no mind and simply let it be. Archy reached out to grab the metal stick that was stuck inside the silver slab stone in front of him, but ....

"Eh?!" He was shocked.

—Swoosh 

I failed to grab the stick on my second attempt. 

I tried to reach the stone with my left hand, but again, my hand couldn't seem to grasp it. It just swayed past the silver object. 

'What's going on?'

I tried to reach the stone again, this time more slowly, but still couldn't grab it. Even when I tried to hold onto it, my fingers passed through the material that I could see with my naked eye.

When it occurred to me that I might be inside a dream, I reminded myself that I was playing a virtual reality game. So, awkwardly, I said, "Uh, is this a gl—glitch or something?"

"Gaia, what do you mean by CARVE? I don't understand," I asked twice because couldn't grasp a solid answer to the question. 'I'm okay if they think I'm dumb or something,'

❝ Carve the stone, with the stick. Try it ❞

"Carve? How do I carve it?"

❝ With the stick? ❞

"Is it possible for someone with no fingers or hands to carve their name into the stone?" I asked the dumbest question I ever had, it came out because I couldn't grab anything with my own hands that were visible to me, but was rejected by the universe!

❝ Grab it ❞

"Okay..." I'm trying to grab it again, but ...

❝ What do you mean about 'no fingers and hands'? ❞

The sun has been shining brighter for me lately, even in virtual reality. Random helpers continue to come to me, even when I don't ask for their help.

"Morph, who???" I don't understand at all. I'm looking around, but I still can't see anyone besides myself. There's only the dust and my loneliness in the dark space.

—DING!

A screen popped up, reminding Archy of how reckless he had been. He realized he needed to do his meditation routine again after this, "I need to improve my breathing techniques..."

Archy couldn't believe what had just happened a few minutes ago, it should be something that could have been solved in a split second. 

"I'm not going to tell anyone about this. No one should know, not even myself! How embarrassing!"

"I choose Human," Archy said with an uneasy feeling, even though he wasn't sure what would happen, he chose it anyway.

Another reckless decision, 'Stay quiet my mind! I know it! But it said Morph would help me, so what?'

—Sheesh 

Archy found himself in an awkward position as the dust suddenly became active and started to circle him at a fast pace. "Relax guys, I just talking to myself," he said, trying to calm the situation.

But the dust continued to swirl around him faster and faster, making him feel like he was standing in the midst of a dust typhoon. 

The motion of the dust was making him nauseous and he desperately tried to escape and get out of the typhoon. 

It seemed that no one was coming to his aid, "Gaia? Can you help me..."

❝ From who? ❞

"Can you please get rid of the dust for me? I can't stand this typhoon anymore."

❝ Close your eyes and stand still, you'll be fine ❞

Archi follows the instructions and somehow it works. 

'What happened?' he thinks to himself. All of the dizziness and vacuum-like sensations he had previously disappeared.

"I should ask her, I really should!" he decides, still trying to make sense of what just happened.

❝ Now you got some hands ❞

❝ Please carve your nickname on it ❞

"Did you say something, Gaia?" He's got some trauma to touch something.

❝ Carve the stone, with the stick. Try it ❞

Archy tried to trust Gaia's words, so he followed her instructions again. He looked down at the object and approached it with determination. Using both of his hands, he reached out to grab the silver slab stone.

'You can't escape from me!'

—plug 

He touched, he grabbed, and he hold the stick. Archy pines up his head like a baby who's trying to get approval from his parents after doing something unexpected.

He really wanted some validation for his success.

❝ Are you winning, son? ❞

"YES, I DID!"

'So that was my skill," he thought to himself about the dust and Morph.

With renewed determination, Archy began to carve out the stone with all the expectations he had for playing the VRMMORPG Crossof Realm. 'King? No, maybe a nobleman? No, that's too low...'

"The only nickname that suits me..."

Archy confidently declared as he carved his nickname into the stone, his hopes shining brightly as if they were etched into the stone and recognized by the universe. He believed that as a wise man and potential conqueror, this was the only name that truly suited him.

"This name will conquer the world, once again!"

" Nickname Accepted "

❝ Your hope is written in the universe ❞ 

❝ All the requirements for entering the world have been completed ❞

❝ System processing data ❞

Archy stared far into the stars that shone in this spacious space, 'Can I approach those objects?' He chuckled when he thought about it, "I Just starting a new hope, I'm the wise man...."

❝ System has finished processing data ❞

❝ Congratulations on starting a long journey! ❞

Rein speeds towards the Crossof planet at an impressive rate.

"I SHOULD BE HEADED TO THE TRAINING ZONE! NOT THE EXCLUSIVE ZONE!!!

"WHO INVITED ME TO THAT PLACE!!?"
