Volume 1: The Light
I was surprised at the words that came out of Master’s mouth.
The spirit that possessed Master was a bird that he was close to as a child? Is that really possible?
“Serena, aren’t spirits born as spirits?”
“……Animal spirits with strong emotional attachment sometimes become spirits, but that is rare. Most spirits are indeed born as spirits.”
“I see…”
If that’s the case, then the spirit possessing Master must be really the animal with whom he used to be close with.
Master looked down for a moment, then raises his head and asks me.
“Callus, can you help me ask her? What did Yenia say?”
“Uh, yes, can you help me, Serena?”

With these words, Master patted the empty space.
There was nothing there, but for some reason, i felt like there was a shiny golden bird there.

I’ve never had anyone say that to me before, so it makes me kind of jittery.
I’m both happy and embarrassed. It’s a strange feeling.

“Serena also told me not to do that. I have no intention of telling anyone other than Master.”

Serena was not there by the way, she was relaxing with her chin on my head as if she is tired of translating for me. I didn’t bother telling Master that, though.
