Chapter 39: New look who dis?

Alex stripped off the magma fused skin of the lavasioth with his razor sharp claws but didn't waste time really butchering the corpse since there was no point. he ate the meat and organs leaving only the skeleton in a pile nearby. this was a good start as far as alex was concerned since he was only a step or two behind the master rank monsters. at the peak of the master rank sat alex's goal , alatreon the blazing black dragon. alex himself is missing only the ice and dragon elements to match up in that regard.

He had found that he could mimic the effects of ice element with his water element if he is creative such as the prank he pulled on the admiral. however this was entirely useless in actual combat as it was basically only tossing snowballs. the lavasioth tasted much like the juratodus but was far spicier thanks to the abundant fire energy in it's flesh. he did get five hundred thousand points for eating the thing so that was nice. alex's next big goal however was to get the ice element to round out all of the elements minus dragon but it was very expensive.

Seven million two hundred thousand points was the price for the next element alex would gain and the final one would cost him an additional thirty six million points. this wasn't including the elemental orbs at a hundred thousand each or the horns and spines at an additional ten thousand points each. if alex were to hunt a single large non-elder monster a day worth as much as this lavasioth he would need to kill eighty seven of them to complete his elemental plan alone. even the logia's for his other elements had doubled or tripled in price depending on which element it was.

The reason for this was because the fire element actually had two logia's associated with it the mera mera no mi or flame flame fruit as well as the superior magu magu no mi or magma magma fruit. the first of the two options was double the price the goro goro no mi rand while the second was triple that price. this wasn't even strange considering that magma was both fire and stone so it had far more power than just the pure fire fruit.

The ice fruit cost as most as one of the doubled price fruit's in addition to the price of the element since the system left no loopholes. there wasn't a water logia but so long as it worked the same as the other logia's just with water the price was the same as the others. there was also no dragon element fruit but much like the water fruit it was simply just a logia of that element price wise. alex knew that most of the points he would be gaining was from elder dragons in the future since high rank elders all likely gave far more points than the low rank kirin.

Alex spent the next week hunting the uragons , lavasioths and dodogamas for totally different reasons as he waited for the admiral to show up. the metal taken from these uragons made the metal coating on alex thinker and more intimidating. when the admiral finally showed up alex looked like each of his scales were a bronze dagger while only his wings , tail , eyes and spines were uncovered by the metal layer. it was pretty clear that not even the admiral recognized alex after he had armored up as the man drew a dagger warily.

Alex just melted his armored coat off before manipulating it into a large cube of metal while the admiral , freya and alcina watched on in confusion. "sid? you can manipulate metal now?" the admiral asked confused. alex just puffed out his chest proudly before pointing to the pile of monster bones and skin over in a nearby corner. "been busy i see  , i take it no sign of nergigante then?" the admiral asked while looking through the bone pile. alex snorted angrily at the mention of nergigante as alex had indeed looked for the spikey coward only to come up empty handed.
