[The Glen, Heywood]

A Black Quadra parked in front of the Mayor office, the streets are empty, only a couple of cars were parked on the other side of the street, where the parking lot of the office is. Inside the car is Ethan, he was jacked into a terminal, staring at a screen where he was breaching the network of the office.

When he got in, he quickly transferred his vision to that of the CCTV of the office. He changed the camera one by one, searching for the mayor himself. He discovered the mayor, where he was sitting casually in his office.

Ethan quickly hacked the mayor’s system, gathering his tracker data. When the transfer was complete, he jacked out of his car, and quickly compiled the result to his screen. He saw it, the history of where the mayor has been. He mostly stayed in Heywood, except for one location.

Every week, he seems to go to a place at Westbrook. At a glance, there was nothing at the place, but Ethan quickly discovers that the place has a hidden BD club, invitation-only.

It was a prime opportunity for Ethan. An easy contract.

[Charter Hill, Westbrook]

Ethan parked in front of the conspicuous warehouse building, where he waited for a couple hours, trying to see if the Mayor would come tonight, and of course, he came.

His car drove inside the place, parking at the parking lot of the warehouse. When he got out, he had the usual green face-jammer, and along with his two bodyguards, he walked inside the place.

Ethan also got out of his car, but instead of his face-jammer, he wore a mask. It was a special mask, a mask that can change your face to whoever you want, it was one of his creations in his freetime.

He walked towards the BD club, “Red Queen’s Race” was apparently the name of it. As he walked through the corridor, towards the entrance, he quickly made a fake invitation, signed by a random member of the place.

As he arrived at the entrance, the bouncer blocked his way. “Invitation?”

Ethan’s eyes just glowed for a second, a sign of transferring something. When the bouncer got it, he nodded. “Welcome to the club, Mr. Brooks.”

The bouncer got out of the way, and Ethan was able to enter the club easily. Once he entered, he saw a lot of holo displaying dancing naken women, he saw some joy toys kissing some corpos on the corner, but he didn't see the mayor at all.

He wasn’t disappointed, but instead, he walked to the bar, sitting right in front of the bartender.

“Need anything sir?” asked the bartender politely.

“Give me Whiskey.” Ethan answered.

“Right away.”

The Bartender poured some whiskey into a glass filled with ice, and put it in front of Ethan. Meanwhile, Ethan was looking around, trying to find a camera. He found it at the corner of the room, and he quickly breached the network.

Once he got in, he transferred his vision to the camera, and started searching for the mayor. He changed the camera one by one, scouring every corner of the place. It was hard to find the mayor, but he eventually got it.

He saw the mayor in a private booth upstairs, a BD chip was implanted in his neck, and he had a mastrubation machine on his dick, going up and down.

Ethan held his desire to laugh, and instead got to work. He quickhacked the mayor’s system, and fried all of his cyberwares, including his optics and synapse, killing him instantly.

When he got out of the network, he saw the guards rushing towards his place, and panic started to ensue. He heard the comms of the guards that there has been a netrunner attack.

Ethan just smiled at the sight. Deep down, he loved chaos, but only if the one whose in chaos is corpos. He just stood up from the bar, and blended in the crowd who was trying to escape the place, slipping out of the club safely.

As the radio song played in the background, Ethan was speeding through the streets of Night City with his trusty Type-66. Suddenly, a call rang in his head, and he quickly picked it up.

“Good work E.” said a woman's voice, it was Regina Jones. “The client didn’t expect that you would be able to flatline the mayor while he was jerking off to a BD in a sex club, he gave you a bonus.”

“And the meat?”

“Yes… 50k worth of meat and spices in the drop point as usual, transferring the other 50k now…. And done. Contract closed.”

“Nova, pleasure doing business with you.”

When Regina hung up, Ethan quickly called his restaurant to check if someone’s there, and of course, someone picked up.

“Hey, Restaurant still has customers?” asked Ethan.

“Only a couple boz, why?”

“Got a huge haul tonight, prepare the storage, I’ll be there in ‘bout an hour.”

“Cool, you got it boz.” said the staff, and Ethan hung up the holler, casually taking a u-turn on the street, heading out to the usual drop point.

As the meat and spices were unloaded from the Quadra to the storage by Ethan’s staff, he saw an old friend of his sitting on one of the tables. She looked tired and sad, as if she had just got out of a bad relationship.

Ethan sighed at the sight, and walked up to her, sitting in front of her.

“Hey Jude, you okay?” asked Ethan in concern.

“Hey you…” the woman, Judy, forced a smile. “Knew I’d find you here…”

“Well it’s my restaurant.” Ethan shrugged. “Something happened to you?”

“Oh you know… same old…” she said, stirring her iced tea in front of her.

Ethan hummed. “Maiko?”

“Yep…” she sighed. “She came to the apartment today… Wanted to talk things out… But I didn’t buy it, she’ll just butter me with promises that she would break on a wimp again...”

“What did you do then?”

“Told her to take her clothes. She said she didn’t need it, so I just burned it.” said Judy, taking out a cig. Seeing that, Ethan took the joint from her hand, and threw it away. “Hey!”

“I thought you quit smoking?” asked Ethan.

“Well I really need it right now.” Judy grumbled, taking out another cig. Ethan just took it from her again, making her sigh, seemingly giving up. “You never quit smoking.”

“But you quit, so I intend to keep it that way.” Ethan shrugged.

Judy clicked her tongue. “Alright then Hypocrite, cook me somethin will ya?”

Ethan chuckled at the jab as he stood up. “Fine, I’ll be back in a sec.”

He walked towards the kitchen, cooking a dish for Judy. About 15 minutes later, he came back, with a burger on a plate. He put it in front of Judy, bringing a smile to her face.

“Really? A burger?” she asked, laughing quietly.

Ethan just shrugged. “Thought it would bring some memories. The good ol’ days…”

“Flo’s diner…” Judy whispered to herself. “Thought you hated that place?”

“I did, the burger’s too greasy, but hey, you liked it, and you’re the one eating it right now, not me.”

“Alright.” Judy shook her head in amusement as she took a bite. Her eyes seemed to sparkle a bit as she tasted the burger, and her face had a huge smile in it. “Thanks.”

“No problem.” Ethan hummed, staring at Judy’s happy face. “So, what will you do after this?”

Judy sighed. “I dunno… maybe relationships aren't my thing, you know?”

“Ever thought of swinging the other way?” Ethan suggested shamelessly.

Judy eyed the man in front of him in amusement. “Ethan…”

“What? I’m just suggesting.” Ethan defended himself, a smirk on his face. “I mean, I’m just saying, there’s a single dude who has had a crush on you since forever.”

Judy threw the burger wrap to Ethan playfully. “Don’t go there dude…”

“Alright alright, worth a try.” Ethan chuckled. He then turned his sight towards the TV, where the news was playing.

“Breaking News, The Mayor, Mr. Lucius Rhyne was found dead in his home just two hours ago. The trauma team reported that he had a heart attack, and no suspicious activity had been found.”

“That you?” asked Judy suddenly.

“What?” Ethan asked back.

“You did that?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Ethan played innocent.

“Come on dude, huge shipment of meat tonight, and suddenly, the mayor is dead. Sounds like the work of ‘Ghostwire’ to me.” Judy said with a teasing voice.

“Ugh, that nickname always made me cringe.” Ethan chuckled. “Alright, you caught me, what’re you gonna do? Report me to the badges?”

Judy shook her head in amusement, but her face turned distant, as if she had just remembered a painful memory. “Just be careful. I don’t want to lose a friend like you.”

Ethan sighed at Judy’s expression, so he just held her hand, but his face made a smirk. “Only a friend?”

Judy rolled her eyes as she let go of Ethan’s hand. “Stoooopp... ”
