[Rooftop of a Building, Kabuki]
Ethan was in a boxing match, facing two opponents at once, the opponent said that the two are the same person, but for a boxing match, it’s still unfair. He raised his two black cyberarms, the gorilla arms cyberware activated, and he started his work.
First he dodged a punch from one of the twins, then he instantly targeted his opponent’s stomach. When the punch connected, the sound of broken bones could be heard from an earshot, and it threw one of the twins towards the fence that protected them from being thrown away towards the streets below.
The other twin didn’t feel the pain, but his face contorted nonetheless. Ethan’s last opponent rushed towards him, his fist targeting Ethan’s face. Ethan raised his guard, protecting him from a couple of punches, then he grabbed one of the arm of the opponent, before slamming his fist at the opponent’s face.
The opponent’s jaw was destroyed, and he was thrown a couple of feet away from where he was previously standing. Groans of annoyance could be heard around Ethan as the referee announced his win.
He ignored the insults that were thrown around towards him, and just sat in his corner. He took a towel from his bag and wiped his sweat, before taking a bottle of water, releasing his thirst.
“Some nice cyberarms you got there.” the referee commented as he gave the winnings to Ethan. “Military Grade?”
“Self-made.” answered Ethan, seemingly unfazed by the question.
“Hah, you think I’d believe you?” said the referee, not believing at all.
“You can believe whatever you want,” said Ethan. The referee didn’t say anything, he just left.
Ethan then heard from the radio a news that’s been bothering him this week.
“Night city is still in a state of mourning following the death of Arasaka CEO, Saburo Arasaka. Flags on all city buildings were lowered to half mast, and all major public events have been postponed until further notice. Daughter and heiress—”
Ethan clenched his fist so hard at the news, and he almost broke his water bottle. Saburo Arasaka is always one of his biggest targets, even though he never took any contract to kill him. And yet, he died by poison, which he could hardly believe.
After hearing the news, he quickly packed his bag, and left the rooftop.

[Jig-Jig Street, Japantown]
Ethan walked through an arcade place as guards were watching him closely. He had his face jammer on, so the guards can’t tell who he really was. He passed through a curtain, entering an office that is well decorated, japanese style.
An old woman was sitting on a chair, looking at Ethan with a smile.
“Well well, look who it is…” said the woman. It was Wakako Okada. “Hello E, what brings you here?”
“Need info,” said Ethan.
“About?”
“The one who killed Saburo Arasaka.” continued Ethan, Okada’s face turned serious. “Asked every fixer in town, none had any, you’re the last one.”
Okada turned to her guards. The big men behind Ethan moved, they closed the door behind him, making Okada able to talk ‘freely’.
“I don’t have any info on that, E.”
“Thank you for your—”
“But…” Okada cut him off. “I had intel on what happened in Konpeki Plaza a couple weeks ago.”
Ethan didn’t speak for a while, but eventually, he sat down in front of Okada. “Continue.”
Ethan’s eyes glow blue for a second, a sign of a transaction.
Okada smiled once she saw the Eddies that have been transferred to her. “There was a Delamain cab exiting the plaza, Excelsior package. It had two stops, one was the No-Tell Motel, and the other was El Coyote Cojo bar in Heywood.”
“What’s it doing there?”
“I can’t tell you who the cab dropped off at the motel… but I can tell you who dropped off at the bar. He’s no longer alive sadly, a man that goes by the name Jackie Wells.”
Ethan was quite surprised by the info, he even guessed who did the cab drop off in the motel. Ethan stood up from the chair, and said to Okada. “Thank you.”

He turned around, walked towards the door, and exited the room.
“Come again E.” said Okada with a smile.

As Ethan exited the arcade, he took out a cig from his pocket, and quickly lit it up. He leaned against the wall, ignoring the joy toys that were trying to tempt him.
Ethan released the smoke from his mouth as he gazed around the place. The neon lights were flickering right in front of his eyes, naked women on the holo were dancing inside the shops, it’s not really his place to relax.
As he sighed, he stood back up again, but when he was about to leave, he saw something in between the alleys of the street. He saw a couple of scavs*, dragging a seemingly unconscious woman through the alley. The place was dark, and no one was there, it looked shady as hell.
But when he saw the woman’s face, his eyes widened at the sight. He knew her, well, he met her once specifically, but still, he knew her. It was Evelyn Parker, she was half naked, only covered by some underpants, and she looked unresponsive.
And if you live in night city, you know that if you’re in the hands of the scavs, you’ll be torn apart by them, piece by piece.
Ethan quickly threw away his cig, and walked towards the scavs.
“Hey! What’ve you got there?!” shouted Ethan.
“None of your business!” shouted one of the scavs, he had a russian accent.
Ethan stopped in front of them, blocking the way.
“You got a death wish?!” the other scav shouted, seemingly not realizing that the man in front of him was faceless.
“That’s my friend you have there.” Ethan continued calmly.
The scavs’ eyes widened, and before they knew it, they dropped Evelyn to the ground, and they pulled their irons on Ethan.
Ethan gave them no chance. His optics quickly scanned both of the scavs, and he launched a short-circuit attack, exploding both of the scavs’ biomons, killing them instantly.
Without a second thought, Ethan walked towards Evelyn. He scanned her entire body, and saw that she was in a state of coma, but she was aware of her surroundings. Her breathing and heartbeat is normal, but her brain activity is going crazy, all of her cyberwares are practically busted, which is probably the reason why she was like this.
“The hell happened to you?” Ethan murmured as she picked up Evelyn’s body. He called his car, and quickly disappeared from the place.

♪Good morning, Night City, a day in the life~
I was on my own, catching a ride,—♪
The sun was rising from the east as Ethan was speeding through the streets of Night City as the radio song played in the background. The unconscious Evelyn was on the other seat, and Ethan was trying to contact his friend, Judy.
After a couple of attempts, Judy finally picked up.
“W-What— Hey, wassup…” Judy spoke from the holler, her voice looked sleepy. “Something wrong? You don’t usually call me in the morning, or call me at all for that matter.”
“Hey Jude, listen to me, I found your friend Evelyn being dragged by scavs at A Jig-Jig Street Alley.”
“What?! And she’s with you right now?!” Judy exclaimed, seemingly fully waking up.
“Yeah, listen, she’s in a coma, her cyberwares are all fried, most likely a virus attack. So I’m going to bring her to a ripperdoc right now.”
“Okay, just send me the detes, I’ll be there. Shit Ev… what the fuck have you gotten yourself into now…”
As Judy hung up, Ethan sent her the ripper doc coordinates, and then he slammed the gas to a max, going to the ripper doc as fast as he could.
