As the Portal rippled in its etheric purple glow the hundreds of thousands of people below panicked. The Portal appeared to be as big if not bigger than the one from the cataclysm.

The students around my sister and I burst into a stampede, all you could hear from them were screams, cries, and panicking. This was no time for me to stand still, I ran and grabbed my sister, who was still star-struck by the great size of the Portal, almost seeming entranced by its etheric beauty.

I shook her violently to try and get her out of the trance.

Her eyes which had been locked onto the Portal finally came away from it, but her eyes… they had changed from the old brown color to a now royal purple. As she looked at me, her gaze no longer felt like that of a human.

Her face now felt poised, like she felt a sense of superiority over me despite not seeming to recognize what situation we were in.

Fear had now completely taken over me, the portal above had contributed greatly to this fear, but it had exceeded the maximum limits for me, making me go into the fight or flight response, considering the terrifying aura radiating off Eris.

And that's when I did something I was not proud of… I ran.

My sister continued to stand there as I ran to the car, I had taken her back pack as well considering they held the keys to it.

There were thousands of other kids running with or ahead of me.

That's when I realized it.

‘I can’t use a fucking car, I can’t move with people fucking surrounding it’

After realizing this I began running the opposite direction, trying to get as far away from the campus as possible.

As I was nearing the exit I heard an explosion near the front gate of the school, almost exactly over where I had left my sister.

As I looked towards the explosion I saw… her. Eris was now floating? Hovering? Flying.. She now stood on top of the air, a smile appearing on her now regal face.

Her hair which had once been a dark brown which we had shared had now changed from its original brown to a now pitch black.

As I continued looking she looked towards the car parking lot and… tapped one finger, as if pushing a button on the elevator.

As the action took place I heard

*BOOOOOOOOM*

Dust now covered the air around me, I could hardly breath, I was coughing non stop. I also felt… in pain? I felt something leaking from my mouth and as I raised my hand to touch it.. I froze. It was blood.

‘How did I get hurt’

I was fucking terrified and something felt wrong with me.

As the dust settled my pale face turned a ghost white. The entire parking lot was gone. The entire area had crumbled? The entire area was covered in a grey, ashy substance.

There were other kids with me as well who had recognized the issue with running to the cars. They were now panicking and staring at the being who had once been my sister. I could see that of the four kids with me at least two of them had dark splotches underneath their groin.

Continuing to look I noticed that another of them had red dripping from his mouth. His eyes were unmoving and were just looking up at the sky. I realized then, he was dead. Not unconscious, not in shock. Dead.

As this all flashed through my head I saw the deity’s head turn towards the four of us kids still remaining alive. I saw many other kids hiding in places but they did not escape the deity’s sight.

The kids had their skulls pierced by small stones which had been thrown with what appeared to be telekinesis, reaching speeds higher than I could perceive.

My terror was visible on my face as I tried to get up once more and flee. But as I did so my insides screamed loudly against the movement. I had coughed more blood up but I did not stop. The adrenaline now pumping through me is my only hope of survival.

As this happened I felt myself fall over. Unable to realize why my leg wasn’t moving I looked down at it to find nothing. My leg had vanished just below the knee.

I began to scream. A violent scream. A terrified scream.

That's when I heard what used to be my sister’s voice ring inside of my head.

‘I would kill you, but your blood seems to be a great… conductor.’

Unable to understand what was truly going on I continued on, trying to run. The being had just slaughtered two of the boys remaining on the ground, the third boy’s eyes locked onto something that behind her.

This was a horrible miscalculation for the boy as by doing so he alerted the being to the presence of the hero wielding the title of The Blood God.

His sword, out of its sheath, slashed through the air at mach-1 speeds almost seeming to tear the space around it as he descended upon the deity.

However this appeared to be merely childsplay for the deity before us. The Deity teleported itself behind The Blood God and stuffed her hand directly through his, now donut shaped, chest.

His body slumped to the ground lifelessly, making a crack as the man’s skull broke upon contact with the ground.

With this death I felt all hope lost. My leg was gone, there was no way out of this. My brain had still yet to process the pain from the loss of my leg. The blood had stopped as the deity had quite literally mended it so that I was no longer bleeding.

I slumped to the ground, giving up all hope.

‘Please I DON'T WANT TO DIE’

As I said this the Portal above cracked, smolder and then, it felt as though the universe broke apart. Mossy walls raised around me as my vision went black.
