Chapter 31: Chapter 30: Bad News.

This is the third interviewee, I ask them about their specialty and experience. All of them answer enthusiastically because they know this is their only hope to get a high-income job. In this world people that have PHD is a lot, and the higher paying job is being hold by elderly man and woman that don’t want to retired. Humans can live until 125 years old thanks to advancement in the medical field.

 

The reason they are chosen for the interview is because of their unconventional research. There are many biotechnology scientists but their way of thinking is not suitable or in conflict with my experiment.  

 

“What do you think about human experiments?”

 

The man speaks with confidence. “Human experiment is illegal and something is frowned upon in today's time and ages. With human advanced technology there is no need for human experimentation.” 

 

I looked at Vivian and nodded, Vivian understood and spoke. “Thank you for coming today. We will send you an email if you are accepted.”

 

“Thank you.” The man walks out of the room.

 

That man's way of thinking is conservative. If there is no need for human experiments, why do all advanced species have secret organizations that conduct such experiments. His PHD topic is about strengthening the human body, but human strength has limits. It will be impossible to surpass the limit without modifying the human body or using energy similar to mana energy.

Outside the room Elena is fidgeting. There are only two interviewees left, her and a middle aged man. From that man's calm demeanor he must have a lot of experience.

 

Suddenly a man walks out of the interviewer room, he walks with poised to the lift. That man must be confident to get the job. “No, I need to be calm.” Elena slap both of her cheeks softly to calm down.

 

“Ms. Elena you can enter.”

 

“Yes.” Standing up from the seat she quickly enters the room. Sitting on a leather chair is a man with dark blonde hair, blue eyes and a handsome face.

 

Elena sits in front of the Mr. Levi. According to the information that she found out Mr. Levi is the big boss of Pharherb and Sureset Investment.

 

“Good morning Mr. Levi, my name is Elena.”

 

Levi nodded and began asking questions.

 

Elena answers all of them truthfully about her PHD related to creatures from the planet and in outer space. Because of her scope of studies, he has taken massive loans and now is in debt. 

 

Mr. Levi doesn't have a haughty attitude like other affluent sons and daughters. That she met in the past. 

 

“My final question is, what do you think about human experiments that attempt to fuse humans and beasts?” 

 

‘This must be a trick question.’ Elena begins to think about what answer she should give. But after thinking for a while she begins to sweat because this will determine her future. Finally, she decided to speak the truth. 

 

“There is no difference between human and beast. I think it is a good way to test human adaptability.” 

 

“Please elaborate.”

 

“Human and other intelligent species, without critical thinking we are the same like animals with instinct.”

 

Mr. Levi looked at the female secretary and nodded.

 

“Thank you for coming today. We will send you an email if you are accepted.”

 

Elena goes to the lift after the interview is over. Inside the lift, she begins to reflect on what has just occurred. “I am stupid; I should tell a lie now I will lose a chase to get this job.”

Inside the room Devin answers all Mr. Levi answers.

 

“What do you think about human experiments in the medical field?”

 

“As long as it can save other people's lives, it should be legal.”

 

After Devin left the room. I checked Devin's information, and his doctor's license is a forgery. However, based on his response to the question, Devin appears to be a genuine doctor. He got Devin's information from Liam and decided to see if he could use him. Devin, according to Liam, is a well-known underworld doctor. However, there is a rumor that he is conducting a human experiment.

 

“Vivian sends an email to Elena and Devin, both of them are hired.”

Few weeks later, in outer space large spaceships are heading to planet Otune. “Activate the stealth mode!” The large spaceship suddenly disappears from space.

 

On planet Otune, the military base is detecting an object entering the planet. “Captain, there is an object entering the atmosphere.”  

 

“Do you know what type of object it was?”

 

“Our System can’t identify the object.”

 

“Send a message to the lieutenant general.”

Inside a military office two men are having a discussion. Suddenly one of the man's phones is beeping, reading the message his face changes. “General, there are unidentified objects entering planet Otune.”

An elderly man sitting on the chair spoke. “send people to search that object, the federation hunter has found out critical information on one of the secret bases. This time the terrorist is joining forced with the stur for large scale war.  

 

“I understand, what is the federation order?”

 

“They can’t send help right now, because of other problems. We need to prepare for war”

Few months later, the Pharherb building. A woman with dark blonde hair is inside a large vertical glass tube. Her missing right arm is slowly growing, several hours later her arm is fully restored.

 

The elderly man saw that laugh. “Hahaha we succeeded!”  

 

“Thank professor Henry, without your help it will take longer for my mother to heal.”

 

“Hahaha I am not senile, even without me you can heal your mother.”  

 

“What I am saying is the truth. Now I only need to heal the scar.”

 

“Okay, I will leave you with your mother.”

 

“Thank you.”

 

When the door to the room was shut, it was just me and my mother. As I drained the liquid from the large glass tube, I placed my hand above my mother's chest and cast a healing spell. My hand began to glow, and my vital energy was being consumed. Her disfigured body's scar is gradually healing.

 

Few days later, there was shocking news in the Sureset Investment building. Madam Daisy is still alive. According to the doctor she doesn’t have a long time to live.

 

Right now there are no scars on my mother's body and her arm has already regrown. But she still needs to use a wheelchair for now and can walk again after her physiotherapy.  

 

“Mom, you should rest and leave everything to me.”

 

“I don’t want to, I am bored.”

 

“Make sure you don’t push yourself.”

 

“Is fine, have you told Lydia what happened?”

 

“No, I am too busy.” Lydia is my mother's old friend, actually I forget because there are a lot of things I need to do.

 

“Good, it's better if you don’t tell her.”

 

After speaking with my mother, I left her in the care of the bodyguards. This time, I'm going to make certain that nothing bad ever happens to my mother again. I have increased building security, and everyone and everything that enters the building must be inspected. The building has also been outfitted with an automatic weapon concealed in the reception area and other areas.

 

Leaving the Sureset Investment building, I am heading to Pharherb building's restricted floor.

Inside a fortified room. “How is the experiment no.17?” Me, Elena, Devin are looking at the see through mirror. Inside there is a werewolf with green fur. The werewolf tries to escaped by attacking the wall and mirror.  

 

Elena, dressed in a white coat, spoke up. “The subject has no recollection of being human, and his body is deteriorating.” Elena became afraid and remorseful, after learning that she would be conducting a human experiment. She stays because of the money, but after discovering that all of the human experimenters are criminals, she changes her mind.

 

“Have you found a way to stop the body from deteriorating?”

 

Devin, a middle-aged man with brown hair, spoke this time. “We manage to slow it down for experiment No. 21.” Devin sees hope to cure his daughter, after a few months of working here. He can finally hire people to care for his daughter and move to a better house with the money he earns.

 

“Continued the experiment, has the creatures arrived?”

 

“The intergalactic poacher arrived a few days ago, Liam has sent the new creatures here.”

 

“lets go.”

 

Many stasis chambers have been lined up inside one of the large rooms. Most of the creatures within are still alive. Except for a creature’s carcass that has been placed in a large freezer chamber.

 

In front of me is a stasis chamber that holding a creature that similar to tardigrade. This is a space beast that can live in a vacuum of space. The only difference is the size of this creature is the size of a cow, eight leg and has a hard armor on its body. From the information I have read this creature can withstand heat and even radiation.     

 

“Mr. Levi we have run out of criminals to test the new genetic modification.” Devin said in eagerness. Unlike Elena who is doing this for money, he is trying hard to save his daughter's life.

 

“Wait for few days.”

 

“I understand.”

 

“Send me the new experiment data.”

 

“Yes.” Both of them said at the same time. 

 

As I exit the restricted floor, I receive a message from Liam. My face frowns after reading it. “It appears that planet Otune is no longer safe.”  

 

It looks like I need to speed up my own experiment. There is an area on the restricted floor that only I have access to.
