Chapter 69: Chapter 69: Trouble. (2)

On planet Teria, five powerful mafia families rule the underworld. The Gambino, Bonanno, Colombo Genovese and Lucchese families. The founder of each family has signed an oath to not interfere with each other's business. If not, the other family will join forces to destroy the family that broke the oath.

 

However, the death of all the bosses and important people of the top mafia family, because of a hoary virus. Have caused infighting and soon there will be a war between mafia groups if the chaos doesn’t end.    

 

While the other mafia families are in chaos. The Lucchese family already stabilized their organization after the death of their boss.

 

The Lucchese family's previous boss has twin grandsons and a granddaughter. Riccardo and Alessia, the twins, quickly take over power and become the new Boss and underboss. They are both in their late twenties, with brown hair and brown eyes.

“Brother how?”

 

“It looks like the organization behind the orphan group incident is strong.”

 

“We should send our people to go to the orphan group to investigate.”

 

Riccardo and Alessia have read the report about the destruction of several criminal groups. All of them have in common is they control the orphan groups. That scattered throughout the Joy city.

 

Although the top family don’t fight each other in the open. In the shadows they used the small or medium size criminal group to fight with each other. Because of that there is always causality in the city.

 

“If we are not careful, we might become their enemy.”

 

“What are we afraid of?”

 

“Sis calm down, it’s not that simple. If we make any move right the other family will treat us as enemies. Our power is still weaker compared to other families.” The other mafia families are wary of them. Because there isn't any internal conflict in the Lucchese family.

 

“So you want to wait?”

 

“No, we will use the other family to test the water.”

 

Alessia realized something, and smiled. “Bother, you are right.”

 

“If the organization behind the orphan is strong. We might cooperate to destroy the other family.”

 

An accident killed their parents and many others several years ago. Because of this, the Lucchese family has become the weakest of the five powerful mafia families. Fortunately, the other family is fighting over who will be the next boss.

 

They need to find a way to weaken the other mafia family.

Planet Uter. The mercenary has split into two groups. The first group will protect the camp and the second will attack the terrorist base.

 

That night several spaceships flew out of the camp.

 

For Blood shield mercenary. The one that stays in the camp is the people that can’t transform, after going through the mutant soldier experiment. And several new members of Blood shield mercenary.  

 

Logan, Arian and Mia have been ordered to be in charge if anything happens. Near them is Zoey although he joins the Blood mercenary later compared to Logan and rest. The new member of Blood shield mercenary still considers him as senior. 

 

“Mia, do you feel cold, I can bring you a blanket?”

 

“Don’t need it.”

 

“Are you hungry I can bring you food?”

 

“I am full.”

 

Zoey has been trying to hit on Mia ever since he met her. But he has been rejected many times.   

 

Mia has been ignoring Zoey's advances ever since, she discovered. He had fallen in love with her. She has no recollection of what happened before Mr. Sylas saved her. Mr. Sylas has issued her a warning; he doesn’t care about her past. But he was going to kill her if he found out she was going to betray him.

 

Fortunately, although she is a different species from most of the Blood Shield mercenaries. They treat her warmly like family.

 

“Logan, have you found any way to transform?” Arian asked.

 

“If I found a way, I will tell you.”

 

“Our body is stronger than human. But we can’t survive if we get hit by a bullet.”

 

“Is the experiment painful?” Zoey asked. He has been thinking about becoming a mutant soldier. But he is afraid.

 

“Of course not, you don’t feel anything.” Logan spoke calmly. Of course he lies, from what others said most of the human experiments die or are killed. The one that survives is lucky.

 

“Really?”

 

Logan and Arian nodded, knowing the risk. But according to Devin and Elena the success rate of the mutant soldier experiment is already 90 percent.

The capital city is under strict law no one can enter or leave without permission. Because of that the Intergalactic Star cross has no choice but to build their camp outside of the city. The government doesn't want any terrorist to enter the capital city.  

 

In the forest a group of humans holding various firearms is gathering.

 

“Have you set up the device?”

 

“Yes, they can’t contact or send message for help.” 

 

“Good. Let’s move.”

 

The rebels after losing many comrades decided to kill anyone that tried to stop them. Either way they will die from the hoary virus or from the government. Most of the elderly already die or are in coma. And the young and healthy people, already being infected with the virus.

The camp is barricaded by electric spike wire. And there are only several people guarding the entrance.

 

“So cold, I want to sleep.”

 

“It’s not time yet.”

 

“Why are we the one that needs to guard the entrance and not the other mercenary group?”

 

“Cough, the last time we got attacked, our leader went to the city to have fun. You're also not here.”

 

“Is not my fault, I am just following orders.”

 

“I know, because the other mercenary group treated us coldly.”

 

“Be patient, to make up for our mistake, the leader has to go together with them.”

“Bang!” A bullet pierced through his friend's head.

 

“What!”

 

“Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!”

 

“Ahhh!”

 

“Sound the alarm!”

 

A group of men and women come out from the forest and begin killing the mercenary. The entire camp siren activates and the whole camp is walking up.

 

“What happened?”

 

“Quick guard the camp entrance!”

 

“Protect the Star cross people!”

 

Inside one of the large camps. A group of people wearing a black protector vest and helmet came out. On their chest there is a logo of a black medieval shield that has a red tear drop at the center. They are from Blood shield mercenaries.  

 

“Me, Arian and Mia will go to the entrance. The rest protect the Star cross staff!” Logan given order.

 

“Yes, sir!” Multiple people shouted.

 

“Zoey takes care of them.”

 

“Okay no problem.”

 

Logan and the rest run toward the entrance. With their speed soon they see many people wearing different clothes, enter the camp area. The other mercenaries already take cover and shoot at the intruder. On the ground many corpses from the intruder and other mercenary groups lay around. 

 

Without wasting time Logan, Arian and Mia open fire.

 

“Bang!”

 

“Bang!”

 

“Bang!”

 

The intruder seeing their comrade fall down to the ground began to retreat.

 

Seeing that the mercenaries shouted. “They are retreating and chasing them!”

 

While the mercenaries are chasing them. Logan, Arian and Mia stop, and sensing something is not right.

 

“Hahaha, where do you want to run!”

 

“Chase them!”

 

While the mercenaries are getting excited killing the intruder. Someone comes out from the forest carrying a rocket launcher on his shoulder and fires.

 

The mercenary in front stops running, and turns pale. “Everyone runs a rocket!”

 

“Kaboom!”

 

The mercenaries that can’t run in time, die from the explosion. The other mercenaries seeing that begin to turn around and run toward the camp. The mercenary makes a mistake for not bringing in any heavy firearm, because they are afraid they might injure their ally. 

 

After that more people come out from the forest and head to the camp.

The terrorist base is hidden inside a large cave with several tunnels. The mercenaries have managed to invade the terrorist base and kill all the people inside.

 

“Something is wrong here.” Liam spoke.

 

“You are right, it's too easy.” Gianna spoke.

 

Two people come out from the entrance.

 

“Everything here is clear!” Sara spoke.

 

“Here also the same!” Dylan spoke.

 

“Let’s wait at the spaceship, for the other mercenary report.”

 

While they are walking toward the cave exit they see another mercenary. Compared to the rest the Blood Shield mercenary members are the fewer.

 

The other mercenary doesn’t dare to look down on them. Because Blood Shield mercenaries have certain reputations that can’t be messed with. But they are always people that are not afraid, most of them already dead.

 

“The terrorist is weak.”

 

“I thought they had many members, but it turns out their number is small.”

 

“You are right it’s easy.”

 

Liam the more he listens to other mercenaries the more uneasy he becomes.

 

“You guys run toward the cave exit now!” After shouting Liam ran toward the exit.

 

The rest of Blood shield mercenaries don’t say anything and follow.

 

The other mercenary hears that at first confused. But the more experienced people realize something and begin to run. They have been too confident and have made mistakes.

 

“Boom!”

 

“Boom!”

 

“Boom!”

 

“Boom!”

 

Multiple explosions happen at the cave exit. And the cave begins to collapse. The mercenaries' faces turn pale and try to evade the falling rock. But soon the whole cave turned dark and the ceiling collapsed.  

 

Outside of the cave the mercenaries that guarded the spaceship panicked seeing the collapse cave.
