Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Offer.

Next morning. Inside the mansion. Levi's mother is already being discharged from the hospital and right now Lydia is following Levi around the mansion. “Levi, are you still mad at me, let me give you a kiss.”

 

“No!”

 

Lydia hugs Levi's arm. “Are you shy; it’s okay I am your mom's best friend.”

 

I try to ignore her, but she keeps bothering me. “No, why don't you stay with my mother!”

 

Lydia hears him, pretending to be sad. “Your mother is busy and doesn't have time for me.”

 

“Why don’t you go tour the city?”

 

“I don’t want to; I have visited a lot of cities. All of them are the same.”

 

I get away from her grasp. “I am sorry; I have something to do.”

 

“What! How could you leave your lovely mother friend alone?”

 

“Sigh, I am going to go exercise.”

 

“Okay, let's go.”

Lydia teases Levi for amusement. She notices something, Levi's body is fit like a soldier who has been training for years.

 

She has been following him around to confirm it. When Levi said, he is going to exercise. She hurriedly follows him.

I punch the punching bag without using any vital energy. At the same time, I am thinking about what I should do now. I am still weak if I want to fight a large terrorist group like Dread organization.

 

With my power right now, I can only control a few underworld gangs. I need to find a way to make sure my mother doesn’t get kidnapped again, and advance my apprentice rank to adept rank.

 

While Levi is punching and sometimes kicking the punching bag. Lydia keeps looking at him without blinking, because of Levi's movement. She can see that Levi has experience in fighting.

 

Suddenly she has a great idea and stands up. Lydia's face begins to get serious and prepares to attack. She dashes toward Levi and jump to give him a flying kick at the back.

 

I sense something, move to the side and grab the leg. Before I am going to throw it, I finally realize that the leg belongs to Lydia. To prevent her from getting hurt, I release the leg and hug her because of the momentum both of us fall to the floor.

 

Standing up I go check her condition. “Are you okay?”  

 

Lydia looks astonished. “I am planning to prank you, to think you managed to grab my leg.”

 

I have a slack jaw. “You call kicking me in the back is a prank?”

 

“Of course, you must not have any friends when you are growing up.”

 

“I think your friend is a problem.” In the end I can only sigh. “Let’s go see my mother, she should already finish her work.”

 

“Okay.”

Few days later. “Thank you for taking care of me, I will come again.”

 

Daisy smiles happily, she has not seen her friend for a long time and her personality is still the same. “Please come again.”

 

Beside my mother, I look at Lydia menacingly “Don’t come.”

 

“Don’t worry, I will come again to see you little Levi, and here.” Lydia handed me a card.

 

Taking the card, I begin to read it. “Death smiles mercenaries.”

 

I raise my head with a confused face. “Why are you giving me this card?”

 

“I am offering you to join my mercenaries group. Don’t worry, I already have a talk with your mom, your job is to be our doctor and you don't need to fight.”

 

I look at my mother with a confused face.

 

Daisy smiled and spoke. “I already know from David, that you already got your physician license. If one day you decide to leave this planet, I will allow you to go with Lydia.”

 

Without saying anything I nodded my head.

 

“Why are you both looking sad, it’s not like Levi will leave today.”

 

A small spaceship can be seen heading toward the mansion and slowly landed on the empty field.

 

“Good bye, Levi let’s have a practice match again.”

 

Looking at the spaceship that has flown faraway, I remember the past few days of the practice match that I have with her. She teaches me how to stay alive. Every time I almost win the match she will cheat. Lydia said, to survive you can do anything.

 

Actually there is another way, that is by becoming strong. Just casting a spell or activating a skill, hundred or thousand people will die. After speaking to my mother, I entered my room to check on the news inside my phone.

I close the phone, for the past few days the new is all about the terrorist. The weird thing is I don’t see any news and articles about me saving the hostages. My guess is the military wants to take the credit for saving the hostage.

 

I can’t blame them; I already destroyed all the camera recordings before I left the place. My only concern is does that spaceship have a camera, I have read that not all spaceships have cameras. 

 

Suddenly, I remember Lydia's face and slender body, while I am training with her.

 

Closing my eyes, I begin to meditate to calm myself and slowly absorb vital energy. I realize, although my memory is already around 100-year-old. This body is still young and being influenced by testosterone. Fortunately, I have a strong will.

Kaross city, government office. Important people are having discussion about the terrorist attack.

 

A woman standing in front, began to tell the report. “According to our information the stur terrorist have a support of Dread organization.” 

 

Listening to the report everyone inside the room becomes silent.

 

After listening to the report, an elderly man wearing a military uniform spoke. “Compared to the human federation, the Dread organization is weak. The problem right now is that we don't know where their main base and leader is.”

 

One of the important people spoke. “I agree, the problem right now is that every time, we destroy their base. New one will be created and they always retaliate,”

 

The elderly man replied. “I am not afraid of their retaliation; it has happened so many times.”

 

This time a middle aged woman interjected with an annoying tone. “Easy for you to say, they target related people and family members.”

 

“It’s only happened on a planet with low security, that is why I ask you all to increase the budget for the military.”

 

At the front of the table a middle aged man, already had enough with their bickering. “Continued with the report.”

 

“Yes, Mr. President. We also found a camera recording inside the spaceship that the terrorist used.”

 

The screen in front of them showed a dark hooded figure wearing a gas mask. Entered the spaceship and saved the hostage. The weird thing is when the dark hooded figure gets shot by multiple bullets, all the bullets fall down to the floor.

 

“What about cameras outside the spaceship?”

 

“The camera outside the spaceship is not working. According to our investigator, the model of the spaceship was created a few hundred years ago, and some parts are no longer working. The spaceship also can’t survive in space for a long time.”

 

The president looks at the important people in the room. “What do you think about the hooded figure?”

 

The elderly man spoke. “I think that is one of the human federation experiment soldiers, and it's better if we keep it a secret from the media.”

 

“I agreed.”

 

“Me too.”

 

Several people agreed with the elderly man's suggestion.

 

The middle aged woman interrupted. “I think we should investigate the hooded figure; we don’t even know if he is a friend or enemy.”

 

“What are you talking about, if he is an enemy. He already kills everybody. I am saying this because I have seen the experiment soldier lose control, many people die in one day.”

 

“The reason that soldier manages to kill many people, because the people that he kills are normal scientists and guards.”

 

The president rubbed his head. “Enough, we shall investigate the hooded figure and keep it a secret from the media.”

Outer space of planet Otune. A large spaceship is waiting for someone. From the planet's atmosphere can be seen a small spaceship heading toward the large spaceship.

 

The large spaceship hangar opens to let the small spaceship enter. Closing the hangar door, the people inside the small spaceship come out.

 

Lydia stretches her body, while walking. “I am finally back.”

 

Behind her there is a man and woman. Both of them look like a soldier with their fit bodies.

 

The woman begins to move beside Lydia and speaks. “Leader, our client has been complaining because we are late.”

 

“You don’t need to worry; we still have a lot of time.”

 

“But.”

 

“No but, order the control room to begin charging the hyperdrive. We shall go, when I arrive in the control room.

 

“Yes.”
