The Beginning and Tests

 

A small village in Italy… 

1829 March 24th…

           A set of fraternal twins were found to have a genetic trait that made them age slower than normal, they were labeled the 'Ageless Twins'. The boy Nathaniel and the girl Natasha were found in the outskirts of a small village in Italy. The Noir corporation "adopted" the twins from their parents in 1850 when the kids reached what would be the age of 10. The corporation couldn't isolate the trait that made them age so slowly due to the limitations of the era so they took extensive notes, and blood samples, during World War 1 the twins were hidden away in the United States in a facility where they could be monitored and their blood tested further. This facility was hidden in Woodgrove, a city in Wyoming. There they have been having their blood injected into animal and human test subjects with mortifying results. Most of which being monstrous and some so dangerous the subjects would have to be 'cleaned' so that they couldn't escape into the civilian populace above ground. The animals experienced dramatic changes to physical appearance and intelligence levels akin to human thought process and learning. 

Woodgrove, Wyoming underground lab…

August 21 1996 11:30 pm…

 

         Another common day or so it would seem on the surface but in a secret lab hidden under a small house on the edge of town sirens and alarms were blaring a warning for the scientists to evacuate, 

"THIS IS NOT A DRILL ALL PERSONNEL MUST EVACUATE, SUBJECTS HAVE ESCAPED FROM THERE CELLS, PLEASE EXIT THE FACILITY NOW!!!"

As the alarm blares a swarm of men and women could be seen running and screaming as something chases after them it resembles what could have been a wolf or large dog but not anymore, the scientists at the back are being torn apart by this beast, this Abomination, its body is easily the size of a small horse with fur that appears to be similar to porcupine quills glistening with drops of red fresh blood with each flash of the red emergency lights it illuminates it in a menacing black and red glow, it's tail has what looks like a stegosaur spiked tail that is now red with the blood of scientists, large paws with 2 inch claws tipping each toe, muscular legs designed to run down its prey. It's face looks like a mix between a wolf and a bear, large rounded ears, a short muzzle with teeth that are large and pointed drooling blood and saliva onto the body of what once might have been a scientists but now looks like a bloody smear with bits of intestines and brain matter, it's eyes look human watching its prey, it's victims scurry like rats, this completes his mighty and horrifying appearance.

 At the head of this stampede is a scientist by the name of Victor Rasik. As he gets to the elevator at the end of the hallway he slams the emergency lock and a metal gate drops down between his colleagues and the Abomination, "Everyone who is injured into the elevator now along with those who have first aid or trauma training. All of us who aren't are taking the stairs, "As he and others help the injured into the elevator a woman who is wearing military fatigues turns to him and asks  "How did subject 72 get out? I thought it was contained on floor 22 with the others!"

"I don't know" Dr Rasik replies, " but it's not our biggest worry, subjects 42 through 90 have escaped! 72 is the only one that seems to have followed us so far, but it's only a matter of time before one of the 'big ones' makes it up here to floor 16 or higher. We need to get to the ground floor and call in a response team." 

"Sir if that's true I don't think a response team is going to be enough! We need all the available teams to deal with this!" 

Dr Rasik turns back to the gate as a loud bang and metal grinding sounds coming from it,    "I fear you may be correct."
