2 miles outside of Woodgrove…

August 22, 1996, 2 am…

FBI agent Frank C. Greyfield…

"I know sir, I'm 2 miles out and should be arriving at the city shortly."

Deputy director, "Good I know you are going to visit your sister but I need you to look into some unconfirmed reports of a Noir blacksite there."

"Blacksite? Are you sure sir I've lived here for most of my life and they've only had a small presence here."

"We are positive, we have reports from several interrogations of Noir Corp. employees. We need you to be subtle on this Frank. We can't let them know we are onto them. So keep this as quiet as possible.”

"I understand sir, I'll contact you if I find out anything." He hangs up as he enters the city heading for his sister's house. Frank Greyfield is a 28 year old taller than average man, 6ft 2in, with a fit and athletic look, his face looks recently trimmed with a square jaw and several small scars one under his eye and a few along his hairline. He carries himself with the kind of confidence a man would have after 4 years of military service in the navy seals and his past 2 years in the FBI. He wears a navy blue casual suit with a pair of black combat boots instead of dress shoes; he's never cared for them.

On his way he passes by a sign on a building reading, Noir's medical care, let us help you.

"I guess they are a little more invested here than I thought."

It was a simple building with medical care flyers posted on the windows depicting many different types of drugs and vaccines that help your immune system or promote better growth. "Yea definitely more entrenched here than I remember! Guess I'll see what my sister might know, I'm sure she's been keeping her eyes on things like this, being paranoid as she is." He chuckles to himself as he passes by the police station, an old building that has been here since the beginning of the city when it was just a small settlement, big and ornate would be a few good words to describe the building now, with large gargoyle statues on the columns and roof. A few patrol cars are pulled up in front of the building with a couple officers going into the station chatting and laughing. "At least the police force seems to be the same with a few new recruits. Might stop by there later and ask around about the Noir corps medical care facility and if they know about any off the books sites."

After 30 minutes he pulled into his sister's driveway he noticed it was rather abnormally quiet. As Frank get out he looks over to the neighbors and sees a lady watching him she looks odd almost like she's on some drug or another probably coke he'd wager, 'cops need to be a little more diligent I'd say, I'll just call the station and see if they could send someone out to look into it.' As he pulls out his phone to call the station he glances back down the drive and notices what looks like a smear of oil or maybe gas. He gets down to look closer at it and his nose picks up a whiff of a very strong and familiar smell, he's smelled this a lot in his line of work the smell of blood. He pulls out his Glock 9mm from his shoulder holster under his suit jacket. Immediately he starts following the small droplets and some large smears of blood leading to the back door of his sister's garage keeping his body pressed against the wall he twists the handle and slowly pushes it all the way open feeling around for the light switch next to the door while keeping his gun trained on the center of the doorway when he finds the switch and flips it the lights flicker once, twice and then a third time each time illuminating his sister's silhouette as she turns around and sees him she raises a lead pipe that's dripping with blood, and charges him screaming with a fury. "Shit Andrea calm down." He yells while catching the pipe in his left hand and pulls it out of her grip. Andrea realizes it's her brother, starts to slowly calm down but she appears to be very cautious when she looks him in the eye, "Are you really Frank or another one of Noir's goons come here to shut me up."

"I think if I was a Noir goon as you so called them I'd have just shot you and said it was self defense. After all, you just tried to brain me with a pipe!"

She looks at him closer, noticing one of the scars along his scalp near his ear, she calms down more and gestures to the floor behind her, "Well I believe it's you now that I've seen that scar on your head, and well sorry for that." She laughs a little shyly and points at what appears to be the remains of what might have been a rat, if it grew to the size of a beagle, shakily she says, "it's been a night ahaha, that just ate my cat and tried to eat me before I grabbed that pipe in your hand and beat it till it stopped moving a few minutes ago. I lost my damn flashlight over under my car when I was trying to find my cat, and Noir has been sending little goons here trying to keep me quiet about what I saw a couple of weeks ago. Figured you were another one of them checking to see if I got the message.". Frank looks over at the rat, and walks past his sister putting a comforting hand on her shoulder, "it's alright sis I'd probably try and brain the guy who sent this kind of creature after me. Do you know what the hell it is?" He asks, looking over his shoulder, raising an eyebrow at her as he crouches down to get a better look at it. She looks at it then back at him crouching over it, "I think it's one of Noir's little genetic research creations. Well it was, I should say. I've seen a few others like it but they must not have been at this stage yet."

"How can you be sure?" He asks her. "Well for one the things I saw were normal animals in cages just they seemed more aggressive almost on the level of having rabies." She replied, raising an eyebrow at him with her hands on her hips. "So no giant rodents then?

"Uh no, not that I ever saw anyways. But it wouldn't surprise me any if they did inject them with some kind of growth hormone or something. But why aren't you asking me where I saw them or how I got in?" Andrea asked quizzically. "Oh that?" Frank chuckled, "cause if I didn't expect that kind of thing from my twin sister who loves animals, and hates pharmaceutical companies for using them as test subjects, hadn't found Noir's top secret testing lab here in our home town I'd be an absolute failure of a brother." He laughed as she glowered at him. "Well at least that hasn't changed. Which is a good thing cause I need to find out more about that place." Frank told her. "Ohh, orders from the big brass I take it?" She asked, seemingly more interested. "Yes ma'am, and I need your help to find out more if you're up for that." He grinned at her, Andrea just looked back at him and smiled, "oh you know I am always down to bring a corrupt company to justice!". "Oh and by the way. Do you know what's up with your neighbors? They seem a little crazy." Frank asked her. "Oh them I'm not sure but I bet it has something to do with what Noir has been giving out in their inoculations. I haven't gotten any myself but most of the city has."

She replied. "Hmm how much of the city has been inoculated?" He asked, looking over at his car as they headed into Andreas' house.

"Hmm I'd say probably 90% of the populace!"
