Chapter 26: CHAPTER 26: The Monsters Were Out

That incident in the apartment was already investigated by the policemen. That investigation may take how many days after noticing that Mr. Lydio's body was a victim of foul play.

Two weeks later, Harvey was deciding to resign from his work. His work was very unrelated to his engineering degree. But, he loved to write so he tried to pursue it. Mickey was also living with him and still, and Zion was still there half-dead. Harvey took a sit before the window and watched outside. He was thinking about what will be his future after this netherworld bothered him. Two people with him will need his presence. He wanted to visit his mother's hometown and wanted to relax. But he can't achieve it since there was a half-dead man with him. Mickey, who was already wakened, saw Harvey was at the window so he called, "Harvey. What are you thinking about?".

Harvey who was with a gloomy expression, "I am just wondering what will be my life after today. Would I die tomorrow? If I die, then maybe I will be happy."

Mickey quickly straightened up and fetched water, he added, "Don't think that. Some people are giving you value. Your friends and your family, are there for you."

"I have no family anymore. My parents were already passed away. I am all alone.", Harvey told Mickey. His tears had fallen as he talked about his lost family.

Mickey approached him and comforted him, "Then, there are other people who are loving you."

"Who are they, then? My friend? I can't even share my stories with him.", Harvey uttered and was with a sad expression.

"Someone you can't tell your stories may be the one who also values you more than you value yourself. Some people also lose hope and then give up but they regret it in the end. You need to be strong. Kahuna is waiting for you.", Mickey

told and mentioned Zion.

Harvey stared at him after Mickey mentioned Zion. He asked, "Mickey if you have a chance to love someone, what type of person could it be?"

Mickey smiled and pointed to Zion who was inside Harvey's bedroom, "I want to love someone like Kahuna. He is very strong and will protect forever."

Harvey lowered his eyes and fell silent. His heart was beating rapidly and his mind was boggling. He hadn't experienced love before and he didn't know what love is. He wasn't the type of romantic man and gentle on anybody. He only loved his family and friend but that love affair wasn't there in his mind. He thought he may be loveless as the netherworld.

Mickey watched Harvey who was silent so he continued, "You can love Kahuna." Harvey was surprised and his mind was blank. This keeper had no sense of humor after saying that words. His face was serious as he was telling Harvey.

"What do you mean by that?", Harvey asked while staring at Mickey intentionally.

"As I said. Kahuna wants to find a cure for his curse. Maybe, he chooses you.", Mickey who was standing near Harvey, grabbed a stool and sit on it.

"He said before that he wanted my body and soul. What was he meant by that?", Harvey asked seriously.

Mickey blinked his eyes in surprise and he buzzed, "He said that to you before?"

Harvey noticed Mickey's expression so he spoke, "Why? Is there wrong with that?"

Mickey smiled and declared, "You really that one he is searching for in hundred years."

"What do you mean?", Harvey wanted to know.

Mickey was already opening his mouth to reply when suddenly there was a strong gust of wind. Harvey also noticed something so he stood up and scanned the environment. Mickey returned to his keeper's suit in that instant after stroking his forehead. Harvey witnessed Mickey and he asked, "Is there something wrong?"

Mickey quickly waved his hand and said, "This is the time I need to go back."

"Why? Is there wrong?", Harvey asked him again.

"I think so. I need to go back. Goodbye.", Mickey drew a circle in the air and the black hole appeared. He entered it and gazed at Harvey in his last step. Then, he was gone. Harvey stood there watching the black hole. When suddenly, that keeper was thrown back onto his room. Mickey appeared again in his room but this man was already dead. Harvey was taken aback

and checked Mickey's breathing. Mickey was no longer breathing.

Harvey was shocked and he tried to call the hospital but when a person was leaping out of the hole. That person's face was covered with a demonic mask and his physique was similar to Zion's. The man was tall and also wearing black. Harvey thought that this was very similar to Zion. But, he was on guard if ever this man will attack him.

"Who are you?", Harvey queried while slowly grabbing the big book on his table.

"Hahhaha. You don't know me? You have forgotten me.", that man replied while walking towards Harvey.

Harvey sensed danger so he quickly ran to his bedroom and locked the door. He also put those chairs along that door to avoid the man. He went to his bed and check Zion but, he noticed that the man was no longer there. Harvey froze and unconsciously clenched his fist. He had been filled with lots of predictions and now it already overwhelmed him.

The door of his bedroom was being smashed by some heavy object which broke it. Harvey stared at the door and sweated violently. He didn't know what was he going to do so he just closed his eyes. He wanted to float with his mind so there he can no longer be aware of the environment. Those feelings of terror will always haunt him. He wasn't the man who was always strong and will fight. His ears can hear everything but his mind was already void.

"Death!, Death!', the voice outside his door.

Harvey who had lost his hopes was now weeping. The keeper who he had met before, was no longer there to protect him. At this time, the only way that need to do was to wait.

That door was already broken and the face of that person was peeking into the hole. His mask was very demonic and disturbing. That man was screaming death and talked about it hundred times. Harvey listened while closing his eyes.

"Harvey, I am here.", someone's voice registered in Harvey's mind. So, he quickly opened his eyes and scanned the room. There was no other person in his room except him. That voice was very near to him and it was like a whisper. At the door, the masked man was still there and screaming for death.

A few minutes later, after the heavy banging on his door, that masked man had already entered his room. Harvey moved far away and went to the window to escape. But, he was afraid to jump out of that window so he had no other choice but just to avoid it. That man was holding a spear and every time that spear will reach his body, Harvey will be dead. So, Harvey just avoided the man's piercing when suddenly his heart just stop beating but his mind was still working. Harvey touched his heart and felt his pulse but there was nothing anymore. He was surprised and thought that he was dying. So, since, he was dying, he moved nearer to the man and deliberately pulled the spear into his heart. Harvey stabbed himself to end his life. The man before him screamed, "YOU ARE BOUND TO DEATH". Harvey still can hear the man and so he stabbed the spear harder onto his heart. He wanted to die and vanish.
