Hundred years ago, Zion was already a part of the netherworld. His parents were from Dark Realm and the netherworld. When he was five years old, the dark realm suddenly assaulted the netherworld villagers living him alone. The people in the netherworld were killed and mostly cursed.

"Don't kill us. We beg for your mercy.", the scream of the villagers can be heard from and were begging for freedom.

Before the war, the netherworld and the dark realm had a good relationships and sharing. Those intelligent people turned into froward enemies. The netherworld had praised the dark realm for being the most strategic and good in alchemy. Since then, the villagers and dark realm people shared the best neighborliness. But now, the world turned upside down after Halina, Zion's mother, was betrothed by a poor netherworld villager. The forbidden love was said to be the cause of their broken relationship between the two worlds.

Zion was born with unexceptional beauty. Halina was glad and she announced to the whole netherworld that she had given birth to an angel. But, the people seemed to feel disappointed after they knew that the child was the curse who broke the good friendship. Nobody listened or glimpsed her. People abhorred her child and wanted to sacrifice it for the new moon. One of the crowd declared, "Your child is a curse. The curse must be sacrificed."

The people agreed seriously and their eyes were focused on that child. Halina saw those people's reactions so she hurried her steps back to their house. She locked the small metal door and then find a basket for Zion. Only she can save the little child after his husband was being executed in front of the people. She placed Zion onto the basket and then drew a circle in the air. "My little child, I hope you will understand mama. Mama is just here to protect you." Then she slowly threw that basket into the hole. Halina wept and screamed, "I will curse all of you." Her emotions overwhelmed her. Nobody can comfort and advise her. She was left alone and abandoned even if there were people around her.

As of a sudden, the environment outside was turned into loud wailing. Those people who were staying and discussing Halina were screaming for help and running blankly. That noisy street was spilled with blood and those people's body were ground with some invisible energy. The shining sun was darkened leaving the surrounding in an eerie atmosphere. Halina went outside and watched the screaming people. Her heart felt relieved after she witnessed those rebels who were calling for help. She laughed crazily and declared, "Nobody can hurt my son."

"Help, help."

"Traitor"

"Witch"

"I will haunt you."

The people were killed murderously leaving only their souls. Those souls were roaming around and finding a host. Halina observed those souls and she raised her anklet to the thin air. "Souls will turn to monsters. The blood of humans will satisfy your desire. I will summon you to the world and find my son." The souls were suspended in the air and then, transformed, into horrifying appearances. Some souls, turned into ghost ladies, burning, flying, and all the most terrifying ghouls.

The manor house was already built and that place was reserved for the new moon festival. That red facade was now displaying the flood of blood as it was spilled everywhere. The customs to enter the manor was strict but now, that the world was disarranged, nobody can follow that rules. Halina entered the manor house and met those men in black. They were surprised and immediately suppressed her from entering inside, "You, lady. How come you just directly enter the manor without bowing and kneeling at the front of the door?"

Halina smiled as if she turned mad and then responded, "Following the strict rules is similar to eating a poo. The world is no longer before so, I suggest that you will erase those humorous customs."

One of the men quirked his brows and then dragged her along the hallway, "You are the witch from the dark realm. Stop insulting the netherworld. If you had nothing to do, make potions to kill you."

The hallway was wide and decorated with colorful curtains. On the right side, the staircase was carved meticulously with rose patterns. At the center of the hallway revealed a large door with an exceptional dragon design. Halina was brought to that large door and
then she was imprisoned. The men in black watched her and then teased, "Die for the dark realm here. Witches are cursed. If they are cursed, then they are bound to death. So, you too." They laughed crazily and then closed her.

Inside that dragon-design door, Halina slowly paced to the stool. The interior was haunting and it only displayed the carving on the wall. It was the river and the two men facing from another half. There were no particular decorations and the room was all black except for that central painting. The ceiling seemed sealed when it emitted little white particles floated above. There were no windows and the only light that shone through the room was the nine small candles placed before that painting. It was a cursed place. Halina felt happy and at the same time anxious. Death was the twin of his child so she should save him by all means. She wanted to sacrifice everything just to let his child survive for longer.

.....

The cursed monsters were summoned to the Earth and searched for an exceptional child. Zion was thrown on a barren land without people and he was there under the heat of the sun. Nobody can help and care for Zion. Suddenly, three travelers just passed by and noticed the basket. They can hear a baby's cry so they immediately run for it. The basket was covered with a blanket and inside was that baby child. One of the travelers said, "A baby. Where is this baby come from?"

"We don't know since we are just new here.", the young man carried the basket.

The traveler with the biggest bag said, "We need to hurry so that the baby will not be exhausted."

Three travelers reached the road and were seated under the shade of the only tree. That young man watched the child and then said, "A handsome man." One of them laughed and replied, "Marry him, if he will become a man." The young man pouted and then smirked, "Tsk."

They rested under the tree for a while, when, of a sudden, there was a black hole appeared before them. The young man hid behind the big fellow and asked, "What's that? Why is it just suddenly appearing here?" The big man approached the hole and then touched it curiously as when abruptly his hands were being grabbed inside. He was forced to lose the grip but unluckily, he was being pulled into it. The young man was stunned and froze before he ran for it. The man with the biggest bag didn't waste time so he ran away from that hole leaving the young man. The baby in the basket suddenly cried so he lifted it and hummed to quieten the baby. "Shhh. You could cry later but not now." The young man was very worried while swaying his body. He needed to be brave for this baby.

The black hole was still and solemn. The young man watched it curiously while caressing the baby in his chest. He had no other companion anymore so he talked to the baby. "Little boy, I am Ivan. I will protect you from this strange hole. So, don't cry." Ivan stared at the baby smiling at him. "You like me. Your smile is cute." Then suddenly, a monster leaped out from the hole before them. It was smiling eerily revealing its toothless mouth. The eyes were monstrous but not harmful. Ivan sensed safety after that monster's appearance so he asked, "Mister. Is my friend alright inside?" The toothless monster mumbled, "###%%%'. Ivan can't understand what his saying so he just stared at the monster before him. Then suddenly, a sudden gust of wind blew the environment which carried Ivan and baby Zion bound to the hole. Ivan was taken aback and tried to reach the ground but his unfortunate. The hole was irresistible and Ivan's efforts were useless.

Ivan and baby Zion were brought into the dark room. It was all dim and the only shining was the nine candles at the center. The environment was haunted and had no windows so, Ivan felt intimidated. He slowly walked towards the candle while carrying Zion on his chest. The light was very dim but it can shine the painting above. Ivan saw that river and two men so he curiously observed it. What was the meaning of that? Ivan scanned the environment when suddenly at his leg, someone grip his ankle. He was surprised so he leaped up and then moved far away. The baby on his chest cried loudly so he talked, "Little child, my heart will be dead now if you still making noise. Shhh." But, still, the baby's cries persisted so he calmed himself. If he will be scared to the bones, he will die with bulging eyes.

"Boy, you are carrying my child.", Halina declared with a low voice. She was kneeling on the ground and cannot be seen
clearly. So, Ivan stepped back and answered alarmingly, "Who are you?"

"I am Halina. May I see him?", Halina asked.

"Can you come here where there is a light?", Ivan wanted to ensure that this lady was not a monster.

Halina slowly dragged her body towards the light. Ivan watched her and then asked, "Madame, why you are here inside this
dark room?"

"I was being imprisoned by those strict villagers.", then she slowly raised her hands, "Can I hug my child?" Ivan nodded and slowly passed the baby to her. Halina caressed Zion tightly and whispered, "Thank you, young man. You save my child from the Earth."Ivan was confused so he posted a question, "What do you mean by that?"

"I will change you to become a keeper for my child.", Halina paused and then wiped his tears, "My child was cursed and he will die sooner so please can you please take care of him?" Then, she stared at the baby then mumbled, "Zion, mama needs to leave you. You have now a friend to care for you so don't worry."

Ivan stared at them pitifully and then added, "I will take care of your son, madame."

Halina removed her anklet and then wore it to Zion's hand. She passed the baby to Ivan and then slowly drew a circle into the air. Ivan was petrified but he just stayed silent while embracing the baby.

"Come, young man. I want you to bring my child above this manor house. Enter this hole. I build that stade for Zion and I want you to enter every hole and test it. Don't worry, it is not dangerous."

Ivan nodded and then slowly stepped into the hole when Halina murmured, "After you enter that black holes I created, you will no longer be emotional and deathless. I will see you again."

Ivan was taken aback so he turned back and wanted to ask. But, Halina was nowhere to be seen after the woman turned to dust in the air. He widened his eyes at what he had seen. "What happened to Halina?"

He stood there for a while and decided to enter the black hole bringing Zion. The little child was orphaned and the only foster brother he had was Ivan. Death was encompassing Zion even if he was just born. Nobody wanted him to be alive except his mother. Separated from your parent was the biggest sadness you will be having, but as for Zion, he had a savior who was Ivan.

Ivan and Zion were brought to the reddish ground and edged with steeps. Around the surrounding, there were holes situated. At the center, there was a golden cathedra so Ivan placed Zion on it. When of a sudden, Ivan felt dizzy and his mind was rumbling. He knelt on the ground and bowed his head. His headache was unexpected and, after a few seconds, he forgot everything. Ivan was no longer him. He scratched his head and then smiled, "I am a brown-clad keeper." What he was wearing was a vivid brown clad that fitted his body, and in his arms was the anklet similar to Zion. He was new to his body and slapped his face. Little Zion was there still on the soft cathedra, and Ivan noticed him.
Ivan quickly lifted Little Zion and then they entered each other black hole. That black hole was reversed from what was said. Many monsters were there inside but because of the anklets, nobody was there to attack them.

Five years later, Zion was already grown up. He can now communicate with Ivan very well.

"Brown-clad keeper. I want to become superior here."

Ivan smiled and then jested, "How do you do that? You are just handsome but you have no strength."

"I will become strong someday. Nobody can conquer me.", Little Zion boasted which made Ivan laugh madly.

This little child was very proud of everything even if it was impossible. Everybody can conquer in different ways. Life had always enemy and that enemy was ourselves too.

After five years, Zion didn't have to step below the manor house and he wasn't aware of what was the world outside the high stade. Ivan also didn't allow him to go below since their lives were suspended above.

Ivan reminded Zion, "You won't be so proud of yourself, child. Our future is unpredictable."

Zion ignored him and played on the ground happily. That steep was peaceful before, with no monsters below, and they can find only them inside the holes. Ivan trained Zion intensely so that the child will become strong someday and he can now protect himself alone.
