"What exactly are we dealing with?"

It was Dean asking this question that kept busy everyone's mind. What length this system has reached and what kind of things were really that their mind couldn't handle?

'The question is what is the reason for them to reach out to us and what is the reason for 'supporters' to just offer us contracts; if it's the system how strong the system is and if it isn't the system then what is it?'

Why would powerful beings meddle in humans' problems if there was no reason? If they were already powerful they would not care about these things, aren't they?

"I think we should start from the base. What is the system really and why it is even there?"

Emily said to the group.

"You also were not able to hear it, right? System of ***. What do you think it is?"

"Could it be the system of gods? I don't know why they are revealing themselves but if there are really angels and higher beings it wouldn't be surprising if the gods also are revealing themselves. It would also explain the zombies; they are obstacles created by gods for us to show our worth. Maybe it's some sort of apocalypse?"

Dean told me about his speculation.

"But then wouldn't all gods send a contract to all people if it was the system of gods? Why would just some of them participate in the system of gods?'

Emily asked Dean, she didn't seem too keen on this idea.

"Maybe it's because some of us are not worthy enough to receive their support? How many gods are there to begin with?"

"Okay let's say it's like that but why do gods even need us if it's a system of gods, also I think they wouldn't be just supporters if it was a system of gods."

"That… that kinda sounds valid."

Dean looked like he let go of his idea after their debate.

Kaan smiled watching how Emily confutes Dean's idea quickly. She looked very confident that it was not the system of the gods.

"You also have an idea right?"

"Yes."

She answered smiling back at Kaan.

"I think it's the system of evolution. We thought that we were already in a good place in evolution but what if it was not enough? I think we stopped our ways of evolution and the system started because of that. It created a world that would stimulate us to evolve. The gods are supporters because we need to evolve by our own effort, that's the only way."

She told her theory with very confidence and a slight excitement. She looked like she was happy with the current conversation going on.

"Are you sure that we can call it 'evolution' you said that we need to evolve on our own terms but the system itself is the external factor?"

"Yeah, I agree, but I don't understand why we still can't call it 'evolution' still. The system itself is the factor for us to evolve."

"Yeah I understand where you're coming from but I don't think it's evolution. First, there is no process, yes there is some kind of natural selection going on but it's not the same. Secondly 'we' are not evolving we get everything from the system and nothing from our genes."

"But the system is already affecting them in some way with the abilities and I think we will be able to affect our genes by raising them and also ability may have connected to us in some way."

"Yeah, I agree that at some point in the system we might 'evolve' but I think it's just one of the features of the system and not the reason for its existence. Also of its system of evolution why do we have gods as supporters in the first place? What will they gain by our evolution?"

Emily thought a bit if there was anything that can support her idea, she didn't let go of her theory like Dean did she was that kind of person; she wouldn't give up quickly on anything, but after a while, she sighed not being able to support her theory and admitted her defeat.

"Yeah, everything you said made sense. Well, what are your thoughts then?"

She asked Kaan and Thar, but they were the only ones who didn't talk about their ideas.

"You go first, Kaan."

Thar said and leaned back to the wall arm crossed.

"I think it's a system of survival."

"I'd it's a system of survival why there are good and they are trying to support us?"

Thar said.

"That was what I was thinking after I heard your ideas. I think we were just thinking from our point of view, the gods also might be a part of the system. The reason they're reaching us with contracts and giving us powers, I think is connected to their survival in this system."

"Still if it's a 'survival' why do we even get help from gods and system?"

Emily said.

"For what's to come, We are just in the beginning, we don't know what we will face in the future and we don't know if the system suddenly appeared for us. I think it can be survival but you are also right, maybe it is more than just survival. What I am sure of is we are currently passing the limits of humanity and there must be a reason for that and that reason won't be that exciting to face."

Kaan said as he thought about the future and what would it bring.

"But you it doesn't seem too far away. I think the system of survival answers many things."

Emily said to them as she thought more about if it can be the system of survival. She thought she was getting closer to an understanding of the system. Of course; they were just guessing right now but even being able to put the things that were currently happening into a logical system in her mind made her more confident.

"Now Thar you better be coming with something good after refuting my theory or you're carrying my backpack too for a while."

She said in a joking manner as if she was angry with Thar.

"I think the reason why we cannot come to a common understanding about the system is that it is too big to be something just one. Everything you talked about wasn't the system but was a part of the system. I think that's why we didn't hear the voice when it talked about the system's name because it simply doesn't have or we don't have one word that can fulfil everything that system is.

"I think it makes sense. Actually, everything you said made sense to me."

Dean said in an unsure voice. He hadn't thought about the system until now and right now he was feeling weird knowing which extent the system could reach.

"You see, even this shows that there is not one system."

Thar said reaching his hand towards the Dean.

"Yeah, boy. You solved the mystery, well done."

Emily said with a grin on her face in an allusive way and walked next to Thar. When he came next to Thar, he put his arm around her and dragged her to himself and leaned to her ear.

"I can still carry your bag, if you are exhausted you can ride me anytime."

He said with a subtle grin but it didn't stay on his face long because Emily punched him on the abdomen causing him the groan but he didn't let go of his grin.

Emily was released from his embrace and walked towards the window with a playful smile on her face.

As Kaan was watching them he thought about what would happen if he didn't go with them. Would they be already dead without him or would he be dead if he was not with them? Would he be able to defeat or run away from the werewolf alone? What would it feel like to have a vision of your death and wouldn't be able to change it?

"Okay then. Let's come to ourselves."

Thar recovered from the blow and said with a cheerful voice as he clapped his hands two times.

"Especially you Kaan, get rid of your sulky mood and those dead eyes, we're still very much alive you know? Hide these for your grave."

Thar said without letting you of his cheerful voice as he pointed his finger towards him.

Kaan couldn't hold his laugh back and he blurted out a little. He could get a little angry at those words but that guy was like a comic character so it was just funny.

'Is there a reason to know what would happen? We are still alive and that's what really matters.'

When Kaan looked at the atmosphere as his gloominess left, he really felt that everyone was more lively.

"You're right. I don't know what system really is, the only thing I know is that we will survive, and live as we want."

He looked at them and added.

"Together."

Kaan saw that Emily and Thar smiled while Dean looked at him with a serious expression as he nodded his head.

"Even when you are saying something uplifting you are supporting your own idea arent' you."

Thar said grinning as he looked at the indifferent eyes of the Kaan then he got up and stretched.

"But you are right, let's survive together."

And that was something that everyone could agree on.
