"All of you get in line."

Said the man with a rough face sticking to his strict tone.

They lined up in front of the group and the man who was wearing the white apron came in front of them. He had beautiful blonde hair fluttering with the air and an eye-catching face. He looked at them with tired but steady eyes and a smile without any affection.

"Drop your guns, they are clean."

He said after he shot a glance at everyone in Kaan's group.

"Well, our first encounter hadn't been a friendly one but we had to be careful, right? Let's introduce ourselves, I'm doctor Oscar."

The man extended her hand towards Emily and they shook hands. Both of them had the same affectionless smile on their face. Everyone introduced themselves to Oscar.

"You're coming from the south part of the city?"

"Yes."

Emily was the one doing the talk. After her answer, Oscar looked his back to the rough-faced soldier with a thoughtful look and then returned them after agreeing on something.

"Well, guys. As you can see some of us are from the military and we have created a camp in the forest for the survivors. We're patrolling the area and cleaning any possible threat to the camp. So if you would like to, you can come with us to the camp and join to camp, though you have to help around the camp it's in a good condition and we're doing our best to keep everyone safe or we'll ask for you to leave this area."

Even if his words seemed polite but the threatening undertone was very visible.

Emily turned to the group to see what they were thinking about this. Kaan nodded towards her in the sense for her to accept going to the camp. He wanted to see how the situation was at the camp and also it wouldn't be bad having military power guarding them for this night. Suddenly falling into a vulnerable position because of the guns reminded him they were still in danger even if there were no zombies. The other two also favoured the idea of going to the camp.

"It seems like you came to an agreement."

Oscar said after watching the silent talk happening in front of him.

"Yes, we would like to come to the camp if it's possible."

Emily said in a very polite manner it sounded like she was in a job interview, also their life might be depending on her choice of words because god knows what would do two gunned men in the apocalypse, Kaan thought she was good at her communication skills as he watched her speak.

"If it's possible? I was the one who offered it of course it's possible! By the way, drop talking like that. You can speak with me freely."

Oscar said with a satisfied smile after her answer, he was hoping they would choose this option.

"Just wait a bit and I'll be back, okay?"

He said and returned back to the two military guys and they talked for a while. The others came and talked with their group, they already seemed to accept them as they had friendly expressions.

Kaan just step a little back and waited for Oscar's return. Oscar returned with one of the military guys. This one had black buzz-cut hair and an oval face with blue eyes and a scruffy beard; he introduced himself as Leo and he was going to accompany them back to camp with Oscar.

Kaan looked at the other military man with the gruff face and saw him looking at Oscar and then them with not a very welcoming face but he didn't say anything and disappeared in the thin fog surrounding the area with the others.

After their leave, Kaan's group began to walk towards the camp led by Leo. Thar got closer to Leo on the way as they constantly made not-so-funny jokes and laughed together, they seemed like they had the same mindset.

Oscar spent his time with Dean and sometimes gave a few glances towards Kaan when he was not aware of them. Kaan and Emily mostly watched the dark forest together until they reached the camp.

The camp was… interesting, more than what Kaan was waiting, much more than that. Firstly the trees were cut down to create a large area for people to settle down. In the middle of the area, there was a large campfire where most people were sitting on logs around it. Other than that there were some other smaller campfires that some groups created for themselves.

The place was really lively, he was expecting a more depressing scene but it was very optimistic yet, of course, there were some people here and there who didn't look too well but that was expected.

There were two military vehicles at the right of the campfire, there were also many tents around the camp. Kaan looked at the people and saw a lot more military members around the camp.

There were also some elderly near the campfire and the kids playing around the area as their parents watch over them. This place really felt unchanged and warm yet he could see everyone had a weapon near them and some of them still had blood-stained clothes, none of them looked like they come here without fighting.

Other than the people around the large campfire, there was a group of people carrying the cut-down tree logs and some others were building something under the command of a  short blue-haired woman who was wearing a grey suit. There were currently two ongoing constructions around the area. They even had electricity which kinda surprised everyone in the group and that was just the overall look they had.

"Well, how did you find it?"

Oscar asked them with a content smile on his face.

"This place looks very amazing! How were you able to create this place?"

Dean asked with shining eyes, his pessimistic look left its place on a bright face and he even seemed to forget his ankle's pain for a while when he watched the lively campground.

"Well, all you need was someone who knew how to put things in order and a few military men to assist him and everything follows after that. Actually, we didn't do much everyone trying their best."

Oscar chuckled a little when he saw Dean's naïve looking face.

"Well, it's nice if you liked it. You can sit anywhere you want and do whatever you want, just don't cause any trouble. Dean, you come with me I need to check your ankle. I'll also see you after Thar."

Oscar said to them and began to walk, Dean followed him to a green marquee on the left of the large campfire.

After Oscar left, Leo also take his leave with a 'goodnight' and headed to the campfire where military men were sitting.

They didn't join the people on the large campfire and sat somewhere near it. They talked about what they should do now that they come here but after a little bit of talk they decided to postpone this conversation to tomorrow yet from both of the looks on the face of Thar and Emily he could say they were pretty much affected by this place in a good way and they were probably thinking about staying here.

When they decided to postpone the conversation tomorrow, Emily said she need to talk with someone and left also Thar said he'll have a drink with Leo's and invited Kaan to come with him but Kaan thanked him but declined the offer; He just wanted to be alone and quiet time.

As Thar left he once again look over the campsite. It was a nice and calm place and that fact was making this place dangerous. They couldn't just sit here without fighting as the soldiers provided them protection, they needed to level up and got ready for what was to come or they'd quickly just become a dead weight that dependent on protection and eventually die because they'd not be able to catch up people who had to fight for survival when they were under the protection and die.

'Well, it's not my problem to take care of.'

He just had to wait and see how they'll take care of it. He thought about waiting for the others to return but after a while, he let his sleepiness win over him and darkness took over his eyes as he fell into the sweet arms, in his case it was the cold wood he reclined, of the sleep.
