When Kaan woke up, he felt nothing different but when tried to get up he felt like he got hit by a car. His body felt so exhausted, and he felt the sweat on his back.

'Is it about the dream?'

He thought but didn't dwell on it too much.

When he got up from the bed and walked towards the restroom he felt the time has suddenly stopped. He could still think but he couldn't move his body.

"The creations of the Old Being heed my words. The world that you know will now come to an end. The end that chased all over the worlds now reached your world and now you are also a part of the system of the ***. Fight and get strong, that's the only way you can survive till the end. Now, get ready."

With the end of the words of an emotionless voice, the frozen time returned to its normal state. Kaan's mind was in chaos right now but seeing the transparent system tab in front of him reminded him that he needed to be calm.

He took a deep breath as he tried to ease the anxiety in himself.

'The world really turned into a game?'

He thought as he inspected the system tab that appeared in front of him. If he knew something about this kind of situation from the things he had read before it wouldn't take much for the monsters to emerge from out of nowhere.

Without wasting time, he touched the only skill he had and suddenly the tab closed itself and three cards floating in front of him appeared. All the cards had the same cover, a closed eye that cries blood, and there was not much to think about what to do.

He reached towards the middle one and grabbed it. When he grabbed it the other two turned into white ashes and then disappeared into the thin air and the one he chose began to shimmer red.

When the shimmering stopped, Kaan saw a robed individual holding a small red ball in one hand on a mountain appeared behind the card. After that, the card disappeared suddenly and the system tab once again appeared in front of him.

Now he finished and got something that he can use Kaan felt a little bit better. He didn't know how to use it for now, but he was sure it should be easy to use like in games.

He closed the system tab for now and quickly lock his door's room. He was staying in a dorm room as an exchange student with three people. He didn't know much about this personal quest but considering it gave him a reward for saving people, he wouldn't be really surprised if it gave rewards for killing people. It's better to be safe than sorry.

He reached for his bag and emptied it quickly. There was not much in the room, he first gathered a few clothes.

As he began to gather items, he heard screams from the outside and it was getting louder every passing second.

'I need to be faster.'

He didn't let go of his calm and began to move faster in the room to find the items he was looking for. He quickly found empty water bottles or anything he can store water and easily carry with him and filled them with water. Then he looked around if he could find something that he could eat and found a few biscuits and also stored them in his bag.

The only thing left was finding a weapon. To his luck one of his friends was interested in baseball, he quickly grabbed the baseball bat standing next to his bed and a pocketknife and headed to the window to take a look at the situation outside.

"Don't look at me like that, Help me!"

Kaan saw a man crawling on the ground trying to escape from creatures following him from behind. He was trying to reach the group of three people not that away from him and shouting at them. Kaan could see that one of his legs was torn apart from his body and clearly infected.

'It looks like they're zombies.'

He thought about zombies from their appearance and their movements but he had to be sure, so he continued watching outside.

The crawling man shouted towards the group and all three people looked at him with different expressions on their faces but then one of them turned around and then the others followed her and they began to move away quickly.

"You bitch, I should've left you to die there! Come back here! FUCK!"

He shouted to them but none of them turned back and looked at him. After a while, the creatures reached his body and began tearing him up by biting him or delving into his flesh with their bare hands. His screams filled the street as he was eaten alive.

Kaan wanted to look away from that gruesome scene, but he had to observe it. He saw one of the zombie's hands pierce through his chest and grabbed his heart and started to eat it.

'Whoa. It looks like they are stronger than our cliche zombie stereotype.'

Kaan gave a last look at the street, there were three types of people on the street. Some of them were fighting, and he focused on them to see if he could catch something that can help him, but they were just killing them with brute force. Some of them were just running away or following the groups and the others were hiding in the buildings, waiting for this madness to end.

When Kaan closed the window he could feel the adrenaline started to pump up in his body. There was fear, thrill, and worry but he tried his best to suppress these feelings to have a clear mind for what he was about to do.

Kaan took a deep breath and then put on his backpack, he held the baseball bat tightly and headed towards to door of his dorm room.
