Chapter 3: CH 3

 

A single tear rolled down her cheeks. All she could remember was a smiling face of her husband. She let go of her father’s head. She wanted to rip apart the house of Nyx for their betrayal but she couldn’t because she was not strong enough to defeat patriarch and she also didn’t want to risk losing her unborn child. She wiped her ears and with a snap of the finger she teleported near her Ian.

 

She looked at Ian with sweet smile and hugged him. Looking into his eyes she said to him,

 

“I’m sorry my son. I have to do this, then only you’ll survive.”

 

With the help of her power, she destroyed her son’s mana heart. Due to this her son collapsed. She carried him to Samuel. While handed her son to Samuel, she told him to take him to earth because compared to other planets earth was considered weakest and the number of powerful being there were less due to this reason the chances of her son surviving were high on earth.

 

Samuel took Rhea’s son and while escaping he got cursed due to which his ability to use mana was corrupted and using it more would only result in his death. He started blaming Rhea for his condition and all the pent-up anger was released on Ian.

IN THE PRESENT

 

“You thought you could kill me with this much only. Even though I am weaker than my past self, you still won’t be able to defeat me.” Said Samuel while choking Ian.

 

Ian’s vision was starting to get blurry but suddenly Samuel’s grip started to lose. A smile appeared on Ian’s face.

 

Samuel was horrified, his eyes started to bleed and it was getting harder for him to breath.

 

“Y-you bastard, yo…. u …...used ……poi….”

 

Samuel lips and tongue were getting numb and dizziness started to take over him. The poison used by Ian on the knife finally started to work. Seeing this chance to attack, Ian ran towards Samuel, by grabbing Samuel legs with his both arm he forced him to the ground. After performing takedown Ian was on top of Samuel. He started landing powerful punches on him. Ian let himself consumed by the rage and was now staring to lose his rationality.

 

He remembers how Samuel used to beat him and how he used to starve when Samuel didn’t give him any food. Cuts started to appear on Samuel’s face and on Ian's hand but this didn’t stop Ian from pounding. He didn’t even realize that Samuel was no longer breathing but due to anger he kept beating him.

 

After 1 to 2 minutes of pounding, Ian finally stopped. He fell next to Samuel as fatigue started to take over him.

 

Seeing Samuels lifeless body next to him a smile formed on Ian's face. Ian felt relief, all these years he endured everything and now when he finally let everything out, he felt relief and happy.

 

He remembered Samuel words about her mother. “Did my own mother did that to me and if she did then why?” Ian thought to himself. Just thinking about this was making him angry.

 

Ian stood up and looked around him. There was blood all over him and the place. Even the bed and the chair were broken due to the fight.

 

Ian lived at the outer part of the kingdom. There were no rules in the outer part of the kingdom. People who lived here were mostly criminal. This part of the kingdom taught Ian that everything won’t go your way, the world is ruthless and it won’t help you, you have to help yourself and make an opportunity for yourself and then take a hold of the things you want.

 

After the outer comes the middle part of the kingdom where only rich people. It doesn’t matter if he is royalty or not until or unless he/she has enough money, they can live in the middle part of the kingdom. To enter the middle part, one has to pay 200 gold coin. There were many people of king in the middle city whose sole purpose was to keep outer city people out to middle part if they try to enter without paying.

 

Then comes the inner part of the kingdom where only king and nobles’ lives. The security of the inner part was tight, people from middle part were only allowed to enter for business purpose after their verification at the entrance of the inner kingdom.

 

Ian wiped blood of his face and changed his clothes. He then searched the whole house and gathered all the money he could. He then went to the back of his house from there he bought gasoline and poured everywhere in the house. He put his hand inside his pocket and pulled out a matchbox and lighted it. Finally, he decided to leave this place and he looked the house and Samuel’s body for last time and threw the burning matchstick on it.

 

Within seconds the house caught fire, people started to gather around.

 

“Looks like the local gang started the fire. Samuel and his son must have angered them and now they both were burned alive.”

 

People were talking among themselves. Some thought Samuel and Ian died while some thought they ran away.

Ian was watching all this from the dark alley.

 

“With this I can finally start a new life. Today I died as Ian and was born as Jun” he thought.

 

He wore his cap and started walking in the opposite direction of the house.

Jun next plan was to enter the middle part of the kingdom. Currently he has 70 gold coins which was good amount of money but compared to middle kingdom people it was far less.

 

He then visited Mrs. Mullen who was known for illegal transportation of people from outer to middle kingdom. He was welcomed by Mrs. Mullen personally and she took him to the secret room where all meeting regarding the illegal business takes place.

 

“What can I do for you sir?” she asked Jun with sweet seductive smile.

 

“I want to enter the middle kingdom” he replied nonchalantly

 

“Sure, but can you afford it? My regular rate is 50 gold. 25 advance 25 after entering the city.”

Jun threw a bag on the table, “There are70 gold coins in the bag. 50 gold coins for your regular rate and 20 gold coins for my protection.”

 

Honestly, Mrs. Mullen was surprised to see him pay this much money. She was curious how this boy had this much gold on him but she discarded that thought as she got what she wanted. She picked the bag of coins and told Jun,

 

“Pack your bags and get ready you will be leaving. I will take you at a secret passage and once you go in there you will find a man who will lead you to the main sewer, from there you will accompanied by a girl who will be responsible for your security and she will make sure that you reach your destination. It hardly takes 3 hours to reach the middle kingdom. There won’t be any problem during the journey as no one comes to the sewer.”

 

Jun face went dark after listening that there won’t be any danger during the journey

 

“I was too desperate to reach the middle part of the kingdom and due to that I wasted my 20-gold coin for nothing.” Jun thought.

 

Looking at Jun’s face she understood what was going through his mind.
