The technician gave the lanky boy a wide grin and doubled over with laughter clutching the chair. He expected the pretty boy to be a little jumpy, but the look on his face was still everything he wanted, and more.
He should take a picture or something to commemorate this.
“Sooo, this trashy library has that level of crappy cyber security?” He trotted up to the red-eyed boy's desk and peeked over it to see Loukas on the ground, looking up at him with such bewilderment.
This was the first time he had seen this timid guy before. Usually, this place hires some old geezer with one foot in the grave. Not some cover boy model with bad teeth.
"Are fangs popular among college students nowadays?" He mused to himself, "Lame."
“Damn, you're a lot taller up close, sharp-tooth,” He continued as the boy stood up and the short electrician found himself only barely reaching his chest.
“I'm...th-that's not my-my n-name… S-sorry... um…” His voice was softer than he expected. The boy had a distinct accent as he sputtered out his T's.
"Oh, um... It's... Loukas.”
“Loulou. Got it," the shorter man curled a lock of his own hair dismissively. It was not like he was going to remember this guy's name, anyway.
“I, Th-that’s not my n-name either,” Loukas said.
“Don’t care, Loulou. Hide, by the way.” Hide smiled as Loukas looked more and more exasperated with each passing second.
He had time to spare so he might as well see how far he can go.
"What can you open with that mouth?”
“You-You… Sh-shouldn't be doing, going, doing th-that…” Loukas said as he tried to be as firm as he could.
"Doing what?" Hide tilted his head to a side as he tried to hold on to a faux innocent smile.
"Th-the... Every... The-um... The c-computer thing."
“And what are you going to do about it?” Hide leaned over the table his eyes peered into Loukas's deep red. Now that he thought about it, it was somewhat off-putting how red Loukas' eyes were...
The ginger-haired man took a deep breath and strangely, without his usual stuttering, he said, “I will write a report about you.”
Hmm...
Sounded a bit... Recited. Maybe that was why those words seemed so clear.
Hide looked down at Loukas' hands and saw he was fidgeting with them.
“Oooh nooo, the school police are gonna lock poor little me up in super-jail,” Hide let out an exaggerated whine as he held his face in his hands.
“How could you do this to a fellow student?”
“Huh? I um… You… You're a st-student?” Loukas sputtered out in surprise.
“No, of course not,” Hide rolled his eyes, “I ain't have the fucking time or cash for richly rich fancy school. Ew.”
“Oh..”

“But I'm just a poor kid.” Hide went back to his overdramatic act, complete with sobs.
“Yo-you're a teen?" Loukas bit his lips nervously, "I'm sorry I di-didn't know that cuz um... You look quite a bit older and I-”
Hide... Honestly, never thought anyone would believe that.
“Loulou… Don't be THAT gullible and naïve,” Hide groaned.
Normally, Hide would push and keep teasing, but now he just felt bad.
“Oh… S-sorry,” Loukas hung his head low.
This was either the easiest guy to mess with or the most difficult one...
“I don't look older than a sexy 22,” Hide added to get rid of the awkward air that settled.
“Y-yes, um I’m s-sorry. I’m not the best judge of that.”
“...”
“...”
“Give me a break…” Hide muttered as Loukas bit on his lower lip.
It was official. Despite his noble attempt, the awkward air powered by this sharp-tooth guy had settled its colony.
“Um…” Loukas rubbed the back of his neck…
“Booored now,” Hide whined as he got off the table out of Loukas' face as he noticed the flushed appearance of his cheeks.
Hide swung his bag over his shoulder with a huff before turning back to Loukas.
“Whatever, I'm done with my job here, Horror-Dontal.”
“Yeah, um… Bye?” The beanpole of a boy listlessly waved in what Hide was convinced was out of politeness.
Hide gave him the mature goodbye of tugging one of his lower eyelids, and stuck out his tongue before turning away.
Hide, despite his back to him, however...
Felt the boy's eye still upon him even though he had long since exited the building into the autumn breeze. Those red eyes felt like they were burrowing a hole into his back.
Hide tried to shrug that ominous feeling off. He must have gotten tired from that conversation.
Still, Loukas was somewhat fun to mess with.
