In the morning, she checked on the duck. It was wheezing, and didn't move the same way it did before. It had a hard time standing straight, like it's center of balance kept changing when it wasn't moving. It couldn't put up the same fight it had the night before. Once she got hold of its neck broke it, but she couldn't help but think of its odd beaver. Even if it was tiered it shouldn't have acted the way it did. It was almost like it was drunk or really sick.
Well she was to tired and mentally exhausted to think any more.
She hung the bird upside-down in a tree after twisting off its neck, pulling its feathers, and removing its organs. She had to wait for an hour or two before she could cook it. So she picked berries for a while and actually found some mushrooms. To what she could tell, it was the good kind.
She cooked some of the duck with the mushrooms and berries. It didn't taste to good but it was definitely better then the goblin.
Her feet and hands have only gotten worse since that cold night. They smell horrible, and honestly she's getting pretty worried. Some of her toe nails have fallen off and she's realized most of her ears are missing as well.
'Soon, I might not be able to walk anywhere anymore. It hurts so much...'
Laying on her back she started to wonder into her own world to distract her self from the pain. Her life has not been easy since she was reborn.
'Heh, has it ever been easy? I guess I forgot how hard life was after I fell asleep and went without any pain for 28 years.
Closing her eyes she thought about everything she'd gone through before. From the things that hurt to the times she almost died laughing. When she discovered the system and its... handicaps. It wasn't all powerful, it had trade offs ,or it is a trade of.
Shaking her head, she immediately regretted it. Her ears had ruled against the walls of dirt.
'I wonder were this life will lead.'
She threw more wood into the fire. It was still light out but she was going to sleep. It's been difficult to sleep because of the pain but she was tired. At least now she was full.
It was early morning when she woke for the hundredth time, but this time the forest was quiet. No chirping of birds or chitering of loud animals.
Straining her ears to pick up any sound, the faint sound of footsteps become more apparent. It sounded like two mabe three bipetle creatures. One was heavier then the other or others.
Reaching for the sturdier looking stick her fingers scream in pain out of protest. She was trembling, she wouldn't be able to protect herself, if she were to try and fight she would likely die. Hardening herself she looked to were the sound was coming from.
A young man with dark purple hair and light purple eyes looked over the dirt walls of her pit. The instant he saw her, he looked horrified.
"Raina, Philip unlode the sled-! now! U-umm ma'am can you hear me? I don't think you should be out here... it's going to get really cold soon! Can you stand?"
He started rapid firing questions, her unamused face was evidence enough to how she felt. She slowly began to stand, the man reached out to support her bushes slapped his hand away. Needless to say she immediately regretted the decision, her hand flooded with pain and to add insult to injury she stumbled and he had to catch her before she fell.
"You should lett people help sometimes you know?"

The man looked to her with a raised eyebrow, she ignored him. She doesn't want to go with them but she will likely die if left out to the the elements. It's clear what she'd rather do.
After getting to the sled she laid down. The two names he had shouted turned out to belong to two children. A little boy and little girl, the girl had dark purple hair and red eyes but the boy had light brown hair and red eyes. The girl (Raina) looked to be the one older, probably twelve? However the boy (Philip) looked to be no older then five.
The two would take a glance at her every once and awhile but shy away in a few seconds. They were nervous and stuck to their (Dad? Baby-sitter? Older brother?) like glue.
The older one at least tried to pretend not to be scared, but the little one looked like he was about to cry.
'How cute.'
The older man glanced at Alnueava. He opened his mouth but said nothing. She sighed and closed her eyes.
"What?"
"Huh?"
"What is it? You wanna say something so say it." She didn't even opened her eyes to look at him. Just leaned back and did her best to relax.
"I-I was just wondering how you got out here, I mean- it's not even easy to get out here when your prepared for it and you don't seem to have enough supplies to get out here on your own..."
"Well you were right to not know if it was appropriate to ask, because it wasn't." Her voice took a sharper tone at the end and this time she opened her eyes to look at him. The gaze of her eyes was unsettling.

Hey people! Sorry it's been so long since I posted! I went on a trip and got sick right before I got home and again when I actually got home so as you can imagine I wasn't really in the best mood for posting. (-_-)
But I'm back!
And I think I'm going to change the description of the novel some, just cuz my initial thoughts of what I wanted it to feel like changed.
And do you Guys want a nickname? I always thought it was so cute when authors do that! And if so what do you think it should be?
