Three days passed since I received that note and I was on edge.
Who was the person in class 1-2 who knew about me?
Was it Yuka Higashi? No if it was her then Kai would have definitely remembered. Great an unknown threat is just what I needed
Sitting at my desk quietly, I observed the class even more.
Nothing had changed since our lost at the first clash
I side eyed Takeda who just had her head on the desk
She hasn't spoken to me since that multi class ice breaker session
"Are you still mad?"
She kept quiet
"We're desk neighbors and we live next to each other you know, you can't ignore me forever"
With her head still on the desk
"Shut up"
Wow that stung a bit
Getting up from my seat, I decided to step out of the class
My decision being cancelled due to Miss Aiko walking into the classroom holding what appeared to be a ballot box
"Ok class the next clash is soon and you need to select a leader"
The classroom seemed excited at that news
I would personally like to avoid a position that would put me into any spotlight, just because there is a slight possibly of somebody else who knows about me besides that unknown element in class 1-2
Also being a leader just shines light on the chinks in your armor so to me the cons outweighs the pros . Which brings me to my point, who should be our leader?
Miss Aiko then sat on the edge of her desk
"Does anybody want to volunteer?"
Yogi raised his hand instantly along with Genji
Hmm nothing surprising there
Miss Aiko looked at me and smiled
Huh what the hell does that mean?
"I heard that there's a Kaneko in class"
The entire class looked around at each other
Wow she just came straight out and said it, this might be a problem but as long as she doesn't reveal my first name I should be fine. The rest of the commotion will just be the class speculating who it is.
"As in those Kaneko's?" said one student
"No way" said another student
Takeda sighed
"So what? Let's just get this over with"
So she doesn't care about that I see
Sena had a excited look on her face
"Miss Aiko who is the student"
"Let's put it this way, I'll add the name to the list of candidates and if it gets the most votes then I'll reveal the student because after all the person will have to become class leader"
So that was your angle all the time Ayumi Aiko? You wanted me to become class leader? Am I screwed right now?
Takeda turned to me
"You seem rather calm"
I replied to her in a nonchalant tone
"So what if there is a Kaneko in class? Everybody should focus on the upcoming class clash"
How do I wiggle out of this? This teacher is basically holding a knife to my throat
Miss Aiko placed the ballot box in the teacher's deck
"We will do this the democratic way and vote, everybody will exit the class and one by one you will walk in and cast your vote within a 3 minute time frame. X represents Yogi and O is Kaneko so choose wisely"
Ah yes everybody loves their democracy but the problem with that is most of the times people vote in incompetent individuals under the guise of false promises. I already made my pick for leader so I'm sorry about this Genji
Raising my right arm
"I don't think Genji should even be an option so the battle should be between Yogi and the Kaneko student"
Genji spun around at me
"Huh? Really bro?"
"I am just calling it as I see it"
Sigh I am once again sorry about crushing in your hopes

The classroom began to murmur
Miss Aiko then silenced the classroom with a raise of her hand
"Everybody who agrees with that statement show by a raise of hands"
The entire class minus Genji, Takeda and myself voted on it
"Twenty seven agreements to three disagreements so there you have it. Genji is no longer a candidate"
Takeda turned to face me
"I don't understand, you suggested that idea and didn't even bother to vote on it"
"There was no need, I already knew what was going to be the end result so no need to make it a complete landslide. I see you voted no as well"
"Yeah I believe everybody should be given a fair chance"
"Never really pegged you for the fair kind of person"
Takeda sighed
"I do have my moments"
We all got up and exited the classroom then lined up
I decided to stand at the end of the line with Takeda who was before me
Miss Aiko stood outside directing us one by one
Waiting three minutes before sending another students inside
Genji came out of the classroom and gave me a death stare
Well hopefully I didn't make an enemy today. Ok let's be real, he'll be looking for a way to get back at me sooner or later
Takeda still facing front of the line
"Who are you voting for?"
I leaned against the wall on my right shoulder
"Isn't that a invasion of privacy?"
"Oh please I highly doubt that you'll even participate. You seem like the type to doddle on the paper and put it in the ballot box"
I chuckled at that statement
"Oh damn you figured me out"
Sometime later it was Takeda's turn
She entered the classroom and left me alone
Miss Aiko folded her arms
"How do you plan on wiggling out of this one?"
"Maybe I'll just accept my defeat and head back to my dorm room then wipe my tears with a hundred dollar bill. I am not sure as yet"
So is this just a big test from her? What is she really trying to gain?
Takeda's three minutes was up and it was my time to cast my vote
Walking into the classroom I looked at the ballot box and the sheets of paper
Picking up the pen that was left out on the desk for me to write with
Taking a deep breath, I put the pen to the white sheet of paper
My three minutes were up and everybody entered the class again
Miss Aiko sat down at her desk
"I will count the ballots in front of you"
The most of the class seemed excited to find out the results, mostly because they just wanted the identity of the Kaneko exposed
After a few minutes of counting, Miss Aiko laughed to herself
Well this is it.
