Miss Aiko announced the results

"Kaneko has a total of 27 class votes"

Most of the class was elated and Yogi had a disappointed look on his face

"Yogi has a total of 28 class votes so congratulations on being elected class leader"

The class went silent when they heard the entire end result of the election.

Yogi had a surprised yet confused look on his face

Sena caught on instantly to the situation 

"Somebody stuffed the ballot box, was it you Yogi?"

Yogi denied it completely

Sena pressed the matter even more

"Are you sure?"

"Yes I am positive. I do want to be class leader but I wouldn't do something that underhanded"

Sena continued "Maybe the Kaneko student was just a joke Miss Aiko made up to mess with us"

Hmm she gave up on that idea too easily 

Kai stood up, "Miss Aiko isn't that against the rules and makes this electoral result invalid?"

Miss Aiko shrugged her shoulders

"There wasn't any rule limiting a student to just one vote. The instruction was 'When you enter the classroom you will have a three minute time frame to place your vote' so I don't see what's the issue"

Kai returned to his seat in defeat

The majority of the class wanted to protest the results but they knew that Miss Aiko wouldn't budge so they accepted it

Yogi stood in front of the class 

"I know this wasn't quite fair to everybody but as the class leader, I will ensure that we climb to rank one"

Making big promises like that will always blow up in your face when you fail to deliver on it so you my friend just set your own explosive timer

Takeda was surprisingly quiet during all of this. Maybe she is processing what happened

The bell rang and the class began to vacate the room 

As I started to pack my bag, Miss Aiko stopped me

"Mr Sato can I have a word please?"

What does this she devil want now?

"Yeah sure"

Takeda then grabbed her bag and exited the classroom

Miss Aiko and I were the only two people left

"Not bad Dante Kaneko"

Sitting on the edge of the student's desk closest to her table

"Are you satisfied? I played your little game"

"As expected from you"

I held onto the handle of my school bag

"No more stunts like that again"

"Tell me how did you pull it off"

Standing up and walking towards the ballot box

"The students of our beloved class can be so simple minded at times so it was easy to predict what would have happened. Eliminating Genji from the equation was light work when you play off of the everybody thinks he dumb angle. Of course the class wasn't planning on electing him but I still had to get rid of Genji to avoid his friends who would still cast their vote in favor of him due to their self imposed obligation"

Picking up the ballot box now I continued 

"Out of a class filled with 30 students that could potentially vote Kaneko, I concluded that I just needed to add 27 ballots to the box due to the fact that Genji is a sore loser so he would still cast a ballot for himself making his vote not to be counted, Yogi obviously wanted to be class leader so he would have voted for himself and last but not least Takeda Kadae. She is a smart student but a bit too logical for her own good so reading her was easier than I anticipated, she didn't have faith in Yogi as a leader and she wasn't going to vote for a person whose identity she doesn't know, so abstaining was her only option. So now the problem at hand is if Yogi will actually be a reliable leader"

Miss Aiko sighed as she stirred her cup of coffee with her right index finger

"Yogi will fail as leader, I have seen how the other classes operate and with his mindset, class 1-4 will be stuck at 4th place"

I chuckled at the harsh but factual statement

"That's too bad"

"So what will you do Dante?"

I was genuinely confused 

"Do what? I don't see the need to do anything, I will admit that previously I wanted to assist the class but it seems like a backbreaking task which I will like to avoid now since a leader as been appointed"

Miss Aiko sipped her coffee

"I have a proposition Mr Kaneko"

A proposition? Is the she devil about to offer me a deal for my soul?

"Ok go on"

"If you assist the class, I'll close my eyes every time you partake in any of your other activities on campus"

Other activities? Is that what we're calling it now?

"I have no idea what you're speaking of"

Miss Aiko placed the coffee mug down on the table

"In order to be admitted into this school you were required to have a one on one interview along with a psychological evaluation and it was determined that due to childhood events you have developed quite the manipulative and cold personality which is overpowered most of the times by your laid back one. So let's say hypothetically you were to do something in that state, I would overlook it"

A smirk crept up on my face

"You have thought this through but if I need assistance with anything I would expect your cooperation then again what do you gain from this?"

"Oh let's just say that if this class manages to win the three year battle that has already begun. I get a promotion and a raise"

Stretching my arms now

"Oh so you're using me as a tool for your own personal gain? I respect you a lot more now but keep quiet about the workshop"

Miss Aiko picked up her coffee mug by the handle 

"I noticed a few regular participants from there as well in the other year one classes so your work cut out for you" 

As I started to walk out of the classroom

"When is the next class clash?"

"This time they actually gave a date so it's 4 days from now and that's the only details I'll allow you to know"

4 days from now? Since they set an actual date that means it will most likely be something physical, a written exam is easier to spring onto somebody but a physical exam requires planning. I could be wrong though
