Sometimes the best advice you can get is the one you give to others.

I raised my head to see who it was.

To my not surprise it was Genji Hisoka. Of course, he would be the one causing a ruckus in this place of learning.

There were two notebooks and a text book open in front of him. He actually seemed to be hard at work apart from the recent outburst.

Minori sighed, "Well, at least he's trying his hardest."

"Why don't you assist him with whatever he seems to be having issues with? After all, he is your number one fan in school."

Still seated at the table, Minori proceeded to kick my shin while giving me a death stare.

I immediately changed the topic and switched it over to Kaori.

"So Kaori I barely heard you speak in class. Are you really shy or are you just not the talkative type?"

Kaori paused what she was doing.

That alone gave me the answer to my own question.

I continued, "Never-mind."

Kaori gave a slight smile and said, "No it's fine. You can say I am just not comfortable with the students in our class."

Well, that's something interesting to say. I wonder what makes her feel uncomfortable?

Minori side eyed her a bit, "Well, you seem to be comfortable with Dante and very tense with me. So my question is, "Do I scare you?"

Sigh. She could have at least sprinkled some sugar on it before shoving that question down her throat.

Kaori laughed a bit nervously, "Um, you do scare me a bit with your aura, but as I speak to you now. You don't seem as scary."

Awww, well look at that. Minori could possibly make a new friend.

Minori replied, "Oh, I see."

Well, this conversation is getting a bit awkward.

Minori then excused herself from the table and headed towards the direction of Genji.

—————-Minori Takeda's POV————-

I made my way towards Genji to check in on him. Even though I know he wants to pass this exam on his own, he still needs somebody in his corner.

Well, not in that way, but in the way of just ensuring he doesn't fail. I would hate for our class to receive that handicap due to our failure to attempt to assist each other.

I guess you can say Dante's advice is starting to rub off on me in regards to forming surface-level friendships and using them to my advantage, even though it feels morally wrong to me. Despite our current setbacks, I believe our class can win this three-year Cold War.

Genji looked up from his book when he saw me approaching.

"Hey Minori, I see you're studying with Dante."

I pulled out a chair next to him and sat down.

"We already concluded our study session, so I figured that I would check in on you."

Genji's eyes lit up while he said, "That's kind of you."

I could tell that he was trying to play it cool, but I'll pretend not to notice it.

"So I still think that you should allow somebody to help you with this."

Genji exhaled, "You don't get it, do you? I already said this is something I have to do on my own."

I sighed and tried not to show my annoyed expression.

"You still need someone's help, even if it's just minor. I learned that the hard way when I attempted to tackle something important on my own. It turns out that I crashed and burned pretty badly."

Genji had a surprised expression on his face, "You actually failed to do something? I always figured that you were always on top of everything, given your current grades and your assistance with the last class clash."

I shifted my eyes to the left in the direction of Dante, who had his head on the desk while Kaori appeared to be reading something to him from a notebook.

"You could say I was taught a valuable lesson that day, so that's why I will give you minor assistance when it comes to this, so I expect your intelligence to carry you the rest of the way."

Before we began, Genji asked me a question I would never expect from him.

"Minori, why do you avoid making friends in class besides Dante?"

I paused when I heard that.

"...."

 ————-Dante Kaneko's POV—————

The sun was beginning to set. So Kaori and I decided to call it a day. After all, we did spend like five hours in the library.

Personally, that's something I would never want to do again unless I was getting paid for it, but even then I would still have to think about it.

Well, at least I got some sleep and managed to help Kaori study a bit, so that's a win/win in my book.

As the both of us exited the library, I noticed that Minori was still helping Genji with his studies.

That is a good thing. It slightly reduces the chances of him placing last, even if it is only by a couple of marks.

I stood outside of the library as Kaori waved me goodbye.

"Thanks again for the session. I feel like I can perform better now in the examination due to your showing me a few things."

I was genuinely caught off guard due to the fact that I had no idea she was even paying attention because I was just rambling on and she was just nodding her head.

I chuckled a bit in a nervous manner, "Is that right? Well, I am glad to be of assistance."

With that, she was off into the sunset.

Our local shy girl is becoming comfortable around me. I am not sure what that means or if I should be on guard. Honestly, I can't get a proper read on her.

Shortly after, Minori and Genji exited the building.

"Oh, good you aren't planning to pull an all-nighter in the library."

Minori replied, "Very funny, but I am leaving now."

With that being said, she took her leave.

Genji seemed a bit annoyed.

"Hey Dante, can I speak to you for a minute?"

Well, I wonder where this is leading to?
