The area was quiet and empty as Genji confronted me.

Usually, couples would be in this area, but if I had to make an assumption, it would be that it was still early in their eyes.

It was obvious at this point in time that an apology wasn't going to fix the issue. Then again, in this situation, I doubt it would have been the answer that would fully settle things.

Both of us stood there quiet for a bit, in an attempt to fully analyze the situation that is occurring right at this very moment.

I was the first one between us to speak. I had an idea of what he wanted to do, but I just needed to officially confirm it.

"So what do you want to do regarding this entire situation?" I asked him.

After hearing the question, Genji slightly walked towards me and stopped dead in his tracks.

"I would prefer we settle this. The only way I know how in my family."

Well, this may get dicey if he does want to fight.

I put my hands in my pants pockets and said, "So do you want a fight?"

"I mean, since you insist," Genji shrugged.

I laughed a bit, "The day in the male changing room, when you told me that I gave off a wimp vibe. Is that what you're using to influence your current decision?"

"Not really, I just want to punch you in your face right now for embarrassing me in front of the class and Minori."

"Hmm, Minori? Are you letting a little crush influence your choices?"

"Well you did set her and I up on a date, so I'll go easy on you for that."

I took my hands out of my pockets and said, "Um, thank you, but it still doesn't make sense if we fight, because let's just say you do happen to lose. You won't accept the results, and we'll be right back to square one again. "

Genji smiled a bit. "There won't be any grudges or telling on each other; we will go back to being cool after this. As you may know, one of the rules in this world is that "The strongest person is always the one in the right" Well, that's what my brothers would always say whenever we had a disagreement."

"Quite an interesting family you have there," I replied, as I walked forward a bit.

So he just wants a chance to beat me into the ground, then walk away without any type of consequence. He most likely has the strength advantage over me because he is an athlete, so I may end up getting whipped out here.

Without a moment's notice, the fight began. There was no ready, set, and go.

Genji swung his right fist at me. I avoided it by leaning backwards, but one of his knuckles grazed my cheek.

This time he went for a gut punch, but again, I avoided it, so I only felt the sensation of his fist making minimal contact with my abdomen.

At the same time, I saw an opening and launched a counterattack by punching him on his exposed right side. My jab connected with his face.

He stumbled back a little in surprise.

Genji then rushed me again, this time throwing a heavier and faster punch as if he was going for the knock out.

I ducked under his arm and aimed a heavy punch at his solar plexus, but I missed when Genji shifted his body in anticipation of that very same attack.

*Brap*

My fist connected with his hard stomach instead.

*Grunt*

Genji hunched over in pain.

I pressed on for another attack like a hunter who had just wounded its prey.

Spotting the opening which was needed. I went in for another punch, but this time in his face.

Genji abruptly shifted his head, and my jab is about to land on his temple.

I immediately diverted the strike and grazed him on the side of his forehead. I didn't want to attempt a hit in that area due to the potential risk. Genji saw the opening he needed and went for another punch. This time, it was in my face.

I couldn't dodge or block it, so I had no choice but to take the punch head on.

The blow caused me to stumble back a bit now. Genji rushed over and tackled me to the ground.

He kneeled over me with his fist raised and said, "Do you give up?"

I saw that moment as an opportunity to gather myself again.

Without giving him an answer, I raised my head and shifted myself to the left in order to avoid his looming punch. His knuckles grazed my left ear lobe.

I am lucky that he wasn't aiming for the back of my ear because I would have lost my balance and that would have been game over.

After avoiding his punch, I used my forehead to hit his chin.

I will admit that it may have hurt me more than it hurt him.

Genji stumbled back a little and finally fell on the grassy ground.

*Thud*

Giving him no chance to breathe after that I pinned him to the floor and delivered the first punch.

It connected with his left eye.

He groaned in pain, but I wasn't done as yet.

I delivered a second one. This time to the left side of his face.

Genji was panting heavily at this point.

Time was running out and at any moment now someone can walk in on us having this scuffle.

I looked at him and saw that he still had fight in his eyes. I decided that I had to make this an undisputed win.

I delivered a fury of punches.

Left punch, right punch, right jab, left jab. He still hadn't given up yet.

I was getting a bit frustrated now, so I switched to a middle-finger one-knuckle fist and pulled Genji closer with his shirt.

My strikes were a lot heavier and more precise. After landing a few of those, Genji was starting to bleed from his mouth and nose now.

After deciding enough was enough.

I exhaled deeply and delivered one final blow.

It connected with his face.

*Crack*

Some blood splattered on my shirt and on the ground.

I can tell something broke or at least was fractured.

After that, I got up and stood over Genji, who was crawling to his feet.

Very slowly but surely he got up. Bright red blood dripped off of his chin and he wiped it with his right hand.

I stared at his bloody face and said, "There is no need to continue this fight. I'll see you in class."

Continuing this would have been pointless because he was already beaten in my eyes and if I kept this up, I could have inflicted serious damage which would have warranted an investigation from the school.

After that, I walked away holding my right hand.
