Chapter 1: Prologue

[3rd POV]

Once upon a time, a meteor from space crashed onto a land known as Hoenn, and within born a new being. The creature was fascinated with this new world and wanted to learn everything about it. However, the guardian of the sky, Rayquaza, deemed the being a threat as the meteor that contained the creature went past Rayquaza's territory, the ozone layer. Thus the sky dragon attacked it with the intent to kill.

The alien doesn't understand why it was attacked; however, it still fought back in self-defence. The aftermath of the battle was catastrophic, leaving a massive barren land on the edge of Hoenn. Deoxys, who was just born, can't match the strength of Rayquaza and escaped with an inch of its life.

The fight became a world-shocking event and forever remained in humanity's history. People then named this unknown creature that stands toe to toe against the legendary dragon Deoxys...

After the battle, Deoxys went into hiding and eventually recovered. Thankfully, Rayquaza had lost its track, and Deoxys was safe as it quietly recovered its lost strength.

There, the alien travelled around the world of Pokemon. With its gentle nature, Deoxys quickly befriends the inhabitant of this world called Pokemon. The Pokemon taught Deoxys their knowledge and culture. It gathered many artifacts that it found and stored it in it's storage dimension.

Throughout the years, it has gathered many treasures and Deoxys also met some special pokemon that humans treated as deities. Some were friendly towards Deoxys, while others, like Rayquaza, immediately became hostile when approached.

However, with the knowledge and experiences, Deoxys gained from exploring. It managed to hold its ground and occasionally win. Even with the damage suffered by those local deities, Deoxys never bore hatred towards them and just wanted to study them more.

Deoxys also discovered an exciting species called humans, which was intrigued by their technology. Despite that, Deoxys never personally go and meet those humans as the wild pokemon warned it that they're dangerous. Therefore, Deoxys observed secretly and what fascinated Deoxys the most was the relationships between humans and Pokemon.

Deoxys understood that the humans that befriend pokemon were called trainers. Watching the relationship between humans and pokemon, Deoxys felt empty...

It soon realised that this feeling was called loneliness, and it made a new goal, to find another one of its species. Deoxys scanned the world far and wide, searching for even a hint of one other Deoxys.

[Time Skip: Years later.....]

After travelling for so long, Deoxys eventually picked up a psychic signal similar to its own. Deoxys followed that signal. It arrived at a forest where it stumbled upon a meteor crash site.

Deoxys split open the meteor, revealing a round crystal. The colour of the crystal was light green, contrary to the purple crystal embedded in its chest. The crystal shined brightly, responding to Deoxy's touch, and its gaze softened.

Unfortunately, during this small moment, an ear-piercing roar can be heard. Deoxys raised its head and saw the first pokemon that it met. Rayquaza had returned and glared at the crystal in Deoxy's hand.

Deoxys could still clearly remember Rayaquaza, and realising the purpose of Rayquaza's arrival, it attacked the Pokemon, hoping to drive it away. Deoxys teleported in front of Rayquaza and shot an Ice Beam from its palms. The dragon roared in pain and stared at Deoxys with rage.

Rayquaza opened its jaw and fired a Dragon Pulse. Deoxys barely dodged the attack as a Dragon Claw awaited it. Deoxys instantly turned into its defence form and used protection. The Dragon Claw didn't damage it, but the force smashed Deoxys into the ground.

Rayaquaza then launched a Hyper Beam at the incapacitated Deoxys. It used protection again, but the Hyper Beam's power was too strong as the barrier started to show signs of cracks.

Deoxys transformed into its Speed Form and dashed away right before the Hyper Beam hit. It appeared behind Rayquaza as dozens of Shadow Balls manifested around its body. Deoxys launched the Shadow Balls at the sky dragon, which screamed in pain and anger.

Rayquaza growled and soared into the atmosphere. Deoxys suddenly felt immense pressure as Rayaquaza dived back down; its body was covered in a green aura as the pokemon used Dragon Ascent and rushed towards the meteorite.

As Rayaquaza flew down, its body changed. Now it has jagged sword-like patterns extending from its eyes down its neck. Around its head are multiple protrusions with fiery, tail-like growths at its tips. A pattern of four figure-eight-like sections on the lower pair of these protrusions extends from both sides of the triangle-like extension next to Rayquaza's jaw.

'Mega Evolution!' Deoxys exclaimed in its head that it knew about this special phenomenon, but it never would've thought that Rayquaza had this ability too!

Deoxys moved in front of the Meteorite to shield it, and a giant glowing ball of energy formed from its core. The alien used its strongest move, Psycho Boost, in a desperate attempt to fight against Rayquaza's Dragon Ascent.

Sadly, Deoxys's power wasn't strong enough against the Mega Rayquaza as he was blown away and its upper body disintegrated. When Deoxys recovered, it saw that the crystal had been broken into pieces beyond repair.

All this time, it finally found another member of its race and just like that, gone...

Mega Rayquaza loomed over Deoxys, and it smirked in victory. A new emotion swelled up inside Deoxys's soul as its eyes turned red. All the pokemon in the surroundings felt a petrifying fear as their instinct told them to run.

Deoxys slowly float back into the air as it lets out a distorted cry and rushes at Mega Rayquaza...

The battle lasted several days as both sides won't give up. The battleground was destroyed, and it will be tough for things to grow again in the future. At the centre of a vast crater rest two figures.

A green dragon and a red humanoid both lay on the ground giving each other death stares as their body was too injured to move. Rayquaza has long exited its Mega Evolution and panted heavily as various scars covered its body.

Deoxys wasn't any better as it had lost chunks of its physique and didn't have the strength to recover. Rayquaza snarled as its dragon pride was damaged; it used the last ounce of its strength and opened its mouth.

A bright light formed in Rayaquaza's jaw as it charged up a Hyperbeam. Deoxys closes its eyes, accepting its fate; however, before the Hyperbeam landed, a vortex appeared below the alien, and Deoxys fell through...
