Chapter 2: A new Purpose

[Deoxys Pov]

I closed my eyes and accepted my fate as the monstrosity before unleashing a HyperBeam. Suddenly, I felt myself being pulled away as if the gravity and my eyes snapped open. My injuries miraculously healed, and I felt my energy returning. I used Psychic to float off the ground and calmly looked around. I was surprised to find myself in an empty, silent void that reminded me of the galaxy.

'Is this heaven that those humans kept talking about?' I thought to myself.

"I'm afraid it's not....." A godly voice sounded behind me.

I spun around and stared at the giant figure that abruptly appeared. It's a gigantic quadrupedal creature; its whole body was white-grey. There were vertically-striated patterns around its mane, tail, and face. Its mane is quite long, jutting away from its head, and its face is grey, with green eyes and red pupils and a green circular pattern below its eyes.

The pokemon stared at me, and I clearly remembered what this animal was: 'Arceus....'

"You know me?" Arceus asked with amusement, with a small hint of surprise.

'I have read about you in the Solaceon Ruins....' I responded through telepathy.

Arecues nodded in understanding: "I want to first apologise for the anguish Rayquaza has caused."

My body slightly shook with discomfort merely at the thought of that arrogant dragon, but I accepted Arceus's apology anyway. My chances of winning were low, and I'm lucky to be able to hold out that long.

Arceus: "Do you know why I brought you here?"

I shook my head, and Arceus chuckled: "It's quite simple. I have a request from you..."

'A request?'

"Yes, are you aware that there are multiple worlds?" Arceus asked.

I became quiet in thought: 'It's a rather believable theory count the fact that I wasn't born in yours."

"I see... Specifically, there are countless dimensions instead of many worlds. A God governed each dimension. A Goddess I regularly talk to wanted to have Pokemon in her world. She has already set up the necessary environments."

'What do I have anything to do with it?'

"I want you to help the intelligent lives accept the prospect of Pokemon in their world..."

'Intelligent lives.... Humans?'

"No, humans aren't the only species that showed extreme intelligence in her world," Arceus answered, "This new world also has creatures you have never seen before, and there's a new concept of magic and mana. I think it's a wonderful place, and I bet you will thoroughly enjoy it."

"The world you will travel to will be very different from ours. Their technology wasn't advanced to this level, and they aren't as peaceful as mine. Please expect that sometimes actions speak louder than words." Arceus said, and hearing this, my interest was piqued.

'What it's in for me?....' I questioned.

"If you succeed, I will revive your companion," Arceus said as the broken core of my species levitated in front of me. My eyes widened with shock, and I held out my arms as the crystal gently floated down onto my palms.

A cramped feeling washed over me when I saw the broken cracks and the dull colour. That emotion was then replaced by determination, and I immediately agreed. Arceus has given me a second chance, and I won't fail. I don't want to be lonely ever again...

'When shall I begin?'

"You will begin this quest now, but first, I will grant you some blessings...." Arceus fired a white beam into my core, and I felt weird.

"I have gifted you my blessing, and it will be very helpful to achieve your endeavour... Also, I will have someone accompanying you to explore this world together." Arecues declared, and he created another portal.

A small pink animal emerges from the portal and flies around Arceus: "Mew, Mew! (You called, Big Bro?)."

Mew stopped as he set his small round eyes on me: "Mew! (You're that anomaly I kept hearing about!)."

Arceus patiently waited for Mew to satisfy his childish curiosity before continuing his explanation: " This little guy is Mew, my first ever creation. This isn't Mew's true body, but more akin to a spirit as his main purpose would only be assisting you."

I nodded, and I felt slightly comforted that at least someone would be guiding me. Mew flew close to my face and reached out his tiny paw: "Mew, Mew! (I'm Mew, let's have some fun in this new world!)."

My right upper limb formed into a hand, and I shook Mew's paw.  Mew giggled and sat on the top of my head.

"That's all. Good Luck, Deoxys. I hope you will succeed...." Arceus said.

'Thank you....' I noted with gratefulness.

"This is the least I could do...." Arceus replied as a portal formed behind me.

I asked Mew whether he was ready, and he chirped happily. I stored the crystal in my storage space, not before promising that I would return it to its former glory. Without any more time to waste, I dashed into the portal and began my adventure into the magical world.....
