‘Ok. According to the story, I wrote. Even a child has a higher stat than these. During the first growth spurt, children surpass Level 10. If I were to make a comparison with Earth, then Level 10 was the peak of humanity. This fantasy world has an insane amount of power levels. Humans, the weakest race, have warriors with a Level of 150. These warriors could destroy mountains.’

‘First, I need to make all my stats breakthrough the 10^th benchmark. It is the borderline between human and superhuman. That would take 29 points.’

He used 29 points to make all his basic stats reach 10, ‘then I need energy for these skills and body.’

‘Body increases all-round performance. If a person has about 30 Stats in their Body and is fighting against someone with 30 Strength and 30 Agility, then they are likely to lose. But they will put up a good fight. Then again, if this is real…then the skills and training would matter too.’

‘I should put 15 Points in Body and 14 in Energy.’

“Ok. Now. What was this about a video unlocking? Could you explain how this works?”

[You can unlock the first video for free per person. Once you unlock the video, the person and the area they are in will be unlocked. If they wish to take revenge on you (don’t kid yourself. They want to destroy you), they will come and hunt you down. Once you survive the confrontation with them, you can unlock another video.]

[They will gain 10 Levels per Unlocked Video. And you will gain a portion of strength depending on their Level. Tifa Lockhart’s Current Level is 20. (She can easily beat those at Level 40)]

“You are gloating, aren’t you?” Kal covered his face, ‘This is Pirate King’s Dungeon. There are 10 Layers, and the Levels of Monsters increase massively with each Layer. Even on the First Layer, the minimum Monster Level is 25. When the Dungeon was discovered, people from all over the place came to this Dungeon.

“The First Act – Rise of Humanity, ended with the fight between Magician Lebron and Pirate King. At the end of the fight, Magician Lebron surpassed the Limit of Level 150. Having broken the Curse of the Evil Gods.”

“Shit. I don’t need to think about those. The Surface isn’t counted in Layers. I can kill Sludges. They are weak to Fire. If this were a game, then I could Farm them since I didn’t want to treat this as a Safe Area. Once I cross the line and start the Dungeon. There should be an infinite number of Sludge. I would be lucky if I had four or five of them, and then I can go to the First Layer and race to the Nearest Exit.”

He stood up, feeling the newfound strength in his body. Before Level 10, using magic, any magic could weaken a body to the point of fainting. Once Level 10 was crossed, he could use Magic Five Times. But there was different magic that used much more energy, like Summoning Magic – Minigun was Two Star.

‘Now that I have 24 Energy. I should have 240 Mana,’ He thought, “can I see Mana HUD?”

[Yes.]

He blinked, and a blue Mana Bar appeared, alongside a number, “240. One Star Spells take 20 Mana. Two Star takes 50 Mana. I should avoid using Two Star Spell. Now I remember why I set Level 40 as the benchmark for Two Star Magician.”

‘Should I watch a video?’ He thought for a moment, ‘No. I don’t need too much Experience to Level up. If the Level difference is too much, then I wouldn’t be able to gain any experience. I should watch it after I kill them.’

He slowly walked forward, ‘Ten Steps, and that is when it begins.’

The moment he took the tenth step, there was the sound of a splash. He knew it was the water running here, like a sewer, and he noticed the burst of smell. He covered his nose, looking in all directions, perking his ears up.

Every time he moved, he created sound enough for them to hear him, and he could barely see in this dark, damp area. He stayed as he was, hearing his heartbeat when he heard the sound. It was a particular sound it chose, like a smile being pressed under two bricks, sliding out of it. It dropped, creating a similar sound again, “Fireball!”

He pointed to his right, and a red magic circle appeared, casting light on the surrounding, and he could see the black goo in front of him, shiny like oil. The fireball left his palm, hitting the Sludge, which caught fire and burst. He used this time to look at the left corridor and the front. The left one went downwards, but the front one ended a few meters away.

‘This is different from what I made. According to my design, an elevator in the front went down, taking it to the next layer. If you stayed here too long, these sludges would keep coming out. This wasn’t meant to be a safe area,’ He furrowed his brows, ‘there was no space. House would overlap with the Dungeon. So this was the only situation. But this…is it possible it became a different dimension altogether? The exits are meeting points of two dimensions?’

An excited grin appeared on his lips, “I can’t wait to find out what all had changed in this place.”

He turned, focusing on one place where the voice came from, moving a little to the right, “Fireball!”

‘I remember mulling over the face where they drop from. First left, then a little right, then above, and then below. Finally, from all directions,’ He took a step back, seeing the Sludge, and burned it. This time he noticed the Pop-Up.

[You gained 75 Experience.] 

He took a few steps back, ‘I shouldn’t kill the third one. If one comes out from beneath me, then I might be forced to kill it. That would leave only one way for me. I run down this tunnel behind me to the Lower Layer. If something went wrong…and there is a Monster waiting. I’ll die.’

He walked faster, hearing more and more voices behind him. The voices of the Sludges dropped one after the other.

“FUCKKK!!” He started running faster, nearly tumbling. He watched the Sludges appear out of nowhere, in front of him, beside him, behind him, and drop right behind him from above, ‘I am so dead!!’

“Right! Talent Points! Can they level up magic!”

“Fine! Level up, Fireball and me as well! And put 5 Points to Energy!”  He ran around the curve, hearing them reach closer and closer. He was barely a step away from death. A single moment of hesitation and he would die for sure.

[Fire Ball has Evolved to Grand Fireball.]

He kept running, pointing his palm backwards, “GRAND FIREBALL!!!”

A much larger magic circle appeared, giving off heat, along with fire which formed a fireball that got condensed. He turned, and his feet left the ground, “Go!”

His body shot backwards, striking against the wall, a Sludge which wrapped itself on his back. If he hadn’t put points in the Body Stat, he would have died from the recoil; if not, he couldn’t run anymore. He kept running, ignoring the pop-ups that kept coming, “Level up and put points in agility!”

He felt his energy and stamina refill. He started running faster, reaching the end of the corridor. He turned, pointing his hand forward, “Grand Fireball!!”

“Level Up!”

As soon as his mana was restored from the Level Up, he fired again, “Grand Fireball!!”

‘If I get too greedy, I might invite a stronger enemy. The exit is on the right. It was still too early in the morning for anyone to see me. Hopefully, I’ll get out before getting caught,’ He ran to the right. This was where he planted Dungeon Chests which were restored, giving newcomers a chance for weapons. Though, he didn’t want to take the risk. He felt it was best if he left and used the experience he must have gained and then come here tomorrow early in the morning.

‘Fishermen must be up early. Luckily the spot is a bit of a blind spot unless I get unlucky. Oh, right. There is a storm out there. Other than Tifa, no one would be out there.’

He saw the chest and the partition wall when his eyes landed on the glassy bricks, ‘I knew it. There should be a corridor going up from here. But if the exits are connected, they don’t need to be diagrammatically sound.’  

He placed his palm on the wall, and his body phased through it, coming out near the Port. There was an elevated area, a stage of a kind, and two large archways for people to walk. There was a smaller path that connected the left pathway to the right.

He came out there. Since it was dark and raining, no one could see him come out here, ‘there are usually carts on both sides. That kept this place hidden throughout the game. Since they aren’t there…does that mean…the game has evolved from my coding. Still, this is a safe place for now. I am protected from rain…but not water.’

There was a pool of water under him, ‘let’s check the experience I gained.’

He opened the entire window, looking at the stats, wondering which he should increase.

He thoughtfully watched them, “Can I add 16 Points to the Body?”

‘Yeah. Below 10 was Zero Star Warrior. You need about Three or Four Stats to be above Level 10 to become One Star Warrior. And then reach 40 in Three or More Stats to Commence the Promotion Quest to become Two Star Warrior. There were massive Bonuses. Right now, the Strength of a Three Star Spell was able to destroy a Block. But if he was a Three Star Magician. He’d be able to destroy a Part of Town. In a few shots, he could destroy the whole town.’

“Well, there are too many mechanics I created. Like comparing strength and body. 25 Body gives me about 13 Strength Stat. But if I had 13 Points in Strength, 25 Body would act the same as 25 in Strength. If I had 25 Strength and 25 Body, it would give me double the strength that 25 Points would Provide. One thing that is bugging me is…I should only get Two Free Attribute Points. Sometimes a +1 Bonus. Depending on the Hidden Stat Luck.”

“Why am I getting 5 Stat Points?”

[Title – Villian – A Villian has an all-rounder. Congratulation, you will get 3 Extra Free Attribute Points.]

“Heh, and all-rounder but not all-powerful,” He narrowed his eyes, “otherwise, I would have gotten enough to max out all Seven Stats. And then there are future Stats that I haven’t unlocked. Ah, whatever.”

‘My luck must be in minus since I didn’t get any bonus stats,’ he thoughtfully looked at the stat table, adding points.
