“Ugh…” moaned Hiyori, holding her own head, recollecting herself from the dizziness that was still throwing her senses around like a fishing boat, caught in a storm. In the end she could not hold back, leaning forward, right above the squatting type toilet, vomiting into it. “What… the… hell?” gasped for air, wiping her mouth, watching her small fingers at the end of her arms, prompting herself up on the small, mosaic-like tiles of the toilet booth she was in right now. Looking down, she was wearing her old school uniform and she was clearly back in school, evident from the warning bell’s chime, coming in from the corridor outside!

She was confused. She felt like her head was messed up beyond belief, unable to make sense about what was happening to her. She was up at the roof with Everlong then she… blacked out! Wait… No… She was coming to school, and before the first hour, she came in to… “Make myself vomit out my breakfast?” raised her right hand, seeing the saliva on her fingers that she pushed down her own throat just a moment ago, making loud, gurgling sounds, echoing in the lone stall of hers. “What the fuck?!” gasped for air, taking quick breaths one after another as she felt her heart racing in her throat. Standing up, she finally stumbled out from the stall, going towards the sink, holding onto the edges of it, looking into the mirror above it, as she received another shock. “No!” gasped, with a panicked shout following it, as it was not her own image that looked back at her! It was the same face that was in the picture of Fukui Yukari!

“No, no, no… this is a joke!” touched her own face, pulling on it, watching ‘herself’ with disbelief. Looking under her shirt, the body that greeted her was greatly reminiscent of the one she still remembered seeing, before dressing up in her new outfit, going to school with Everlong… “Wait!” stopped and had to concentrate, thinking about it strongly. “I was coming to school. Yes. To… to… yes, to do a ritual! I am not Yukari… no, I am Hiyori! I came with Detective Everlong to solve my own case!” repeated again and again, regaining some clarity but still, looking under her shirt again, it was a different enough body to feel greatly sick by only looking at it. “What is going on?!” grabbed onto her own hair, pulling on it, getting really panicked, seeing the foreign girl, moving and grimacing the same way she used to! It was like she was mocking her in the mirror’s other side! Even worse, as she was thinking about it more, her memories of her life and pieces of Yukari’s memories started to flash through her head, getting a strong headache and feeling like she was tossed into a whirlpool. It was getting harder to tell who was who!

Staggering backwards, she stumbled into her own, brown bag, left next to the sink, kicking it up as her textbooks fell out while she landed on her butt. Ignoring the ringing bell outside, she just looked at the spilled out books for long, silent minutes, watching the writings on them. Her eyes slowly started to refocus and she remembered Everlong’s words.

“This is not real…” murmured, grasping onto her true memories and to her own self, recognizing herself as Hiyori and not as Yukari. Reaching out, holding up one of ‘her’ notebooks. Slowly she opened it and started to carefully read it, going word by word. Soon she formed a smile on her face, standing back up with the notebook still in her hands. As her eyes slowly wandered towards the mirror again, now the face that looked back to her was not Yukari’s but her own. “This has to be a dream!” let out a long sigh. Turning the sink on and she spent a long minute, splashing cold water onto her face and rinsing out the nasty taste of vomit from her mouth. After calming down, looking at the scrunched up notebook that had no readable words in it at all, she finally became confident enough in her conjunction. Everything was messy, mirrored randomly or simply unreadable doodles, so it could only mean this was not reality!

“Time travel…” murmured to herself, focusing on her freshest memories “Damn… you were right! We really time traveled! In a way!” chuckled, biting onto her thumb, nibbling on her nail “I’m surely in that bitch’s memory! Hmf, were you a bulimic kid? Though luck!” smirked and just as she ‘asked’ memories came to her mind automatically. She suddenly felt like, yes, this was normal, if she wanted to look good, she had to stop gaining weight!

“What weight?” snapped loudly Hiyori, feeling up her own body that was thin and boney “You are flat as a washboard! Damn you, is it because of you that I grew zero tits at all?! That is why my bottom is so sharp that I would pop any guys’ boner immediately if I sit in their laps?! Damn you! You ruined my body too because of your sick mind?! Just try to tell me it is not because of you that I did not grow anything at all!” raged on, accusing herself in the mirror of the bathroom, pointing at her own reflection that sometimes ‘flashed’, turning into Yukari’s, then back to her own, overlapping, showing how similar their figures were in reality. She had to take multiple deep breaths before she finally calmed down once again, watching her reflection, before going through her bag, getting out a rubber band and tying her hair into a ponytail, in the same fashion she wore it ‘outside’.

“If Everlong is also in here, somewhere, he has to recognize me somehow!” said out loud, to reinforce her determination while fixing her clothings. “Should I go about my day as Yukari?” murmured, undecided “I think I get what I am supposed to do… We need to know what led you to suicide, get your story into the light so we can exterminate you, eh? I’m pretty sure about it!” clapped her own cheeks, feeling energized “Hah, look at me! Now I am the one who haunts you, how does it feel? Eh?!” leaned closer to the mirror “Bitch…” whispered, before she saw her own image change, into that of Yukari’s. Only, inside the mirror, the bathroom was dark and dilapidated. Her clothing was messy, torn and her body was filled with deep cuts, gushing out blood as she pointed at Hiyori then she just drew across her neck. “Yeah?” held Hiyori onto the sink with an even stronger force, not tearing her eyes away or recoiling from what she was seeing. “I know that you jumped! You won’t scare me with this fake shit! What, have you seen too many horror movies? I’ll get you girl! I’ll get you and drag you out! And you know what?” laughed that almost sounded like crying “I’ll cut you up just like that!” spat at the mirror itself, making it turn back to normal. Yet the feeling of deep rage that was buried inside of her did not subsided at all and she continued hurling curses at the mirror. It was simply erupting onto the surface at that moment, especially because she now knew, that reflection, on the other side of the mirror… It was the one who killed her parents!
