Hiyori was slowly getting used to the fact she was sharing her home with a ghost. What she couldn’t get used to was the fact when she woke up, Aoi was floating above her, watching her without blinking.

“Stop it.” whispered Hiyori, waking up, lying on her back.

“Sorry, I just… I can’t sleep! I was counting your breaths but it had no effect at all!” explained, floating slowly higher, letting her sit up.

“What effect? Stopping my breath?” rubbed her messy hair with fresh, returning black bags under her eyes, unable to truly rest in her sleep. Her brain simply recognized the feeling when a ghost was watching her and it was in full alert all the while she was trying to sleep.

“S-sorry…” whispered, feeling bad about it, floating towards the edge of the bed.

“Haaahh… never mind that! When you get yourself a body, you can have your own home and whatever else you want, so I’ll deal with it until then! I am experienced with something like this anyway!” shrugged her shoulders, standing up and stretching.

“That’s… true.” said Aoi, but her voice was a bit sad and disappointed as she was clearly hoping to stay with her even after that.

“What do you want to do today?” asked Hiyori, missing the subtle change in her voice.

“Anything is fine! I never had a vacation like this, watching movies nonstop, playing games… It was fun!” said with a happy smile floating around Hiyori as she was going to take a shower.

“Even as you were just watching how I played?” chuckled her roommate.

“Yep! Even that!”

As they came out the bedroom the front door of her just opened and Everlong walked in.

“You up? Good!” smiled, waving something in his hands.

“What is it?” asked Hiyori, hurrying before him, taking it away from his hand “Passport?” blinked, checking it out while Aoi also floated there, looking over her shoulder.

“Are we going abroad?” asked Aoi, looking up at Everlong in sync with Hiyori.

“To the Reich to be precise.” nodded while answering them “We leave from the Chitose airport tonight! So pack some stuff you want to bring over!”

“What about me?” asked Aoi, pointing at herself.

“Hm?” tilted his head Everlong.

“I don’t have a passport! I have never even gone outside of the prefecture!”

“Uhm… Hiyori, do you want to tell her?” twitched his eyes a little.

“Aoi, you are a ghost. They won’t even see you.” turned towards her as realization flashed in Aoi’s eyes.

“Oh. Y-yeah… true… I f-forgot!” smiled awkwardly.

“Haah…!” sighed Hiyori, shaking her head “I’ll be ready!” scratched her throat, smiling at Everlong, nodding that don’t worry she will take care of Aoi.

“I just hope, when the plane takes off…” murmured Aoi, while the two of them looked at her with weird eyes, hearing her fears “I won’t fall out of the plane and get stranded somewhere I’m not familiar with!”

It was the first time for both of the girls to be on a plane. The feeling of being pushed into the chair as it took off was exhilarating for Hiyori. Watching as the lit runway shrank below them and soon the bright, constantly illuminated city became nothing but a small, glowing dot under the night sky.

“I honestly thought we were going to fly with… something less luxurious.” murmured Aoi, floating inside the plane. Luckily she was not left behind when the metal bird ignited its jets and gave full throttle for lift up.

“I have the money so I won’t stand in line for hours and then spend around another 14-15 hours with people I don’t know!” smiled Everlong as his private jet climbed upwards until it would reach its traveling altitude.

“I feel like some kind of rich girl going on a trip with her sugar daddy!” chuckled Aoi while Hiyori just scratched her throat, throwing a slanted look at her. “Ahaha, sorry, that was a joke! Haah… Now you can see why I failed to make friends…” lowered her head, once again, starting to play with the end of her braided hair.

“I don’t mind if you two look at me like that, I rarely use my own money anyway! The ‘people’ I bribe are not interested in human currency and I am already at a level where those I need are already in my pockets!”

“So you are not a sugar daddy but a hidden, evil villain?” grinned Hiyori.

“Hah! Maybe I am!” replied as he unbuckled himself, standing up and walking past their big, leather seats to pick out some wine from the cabinet behind them.

“What if there is turbulence?” asked Hiyori, watching him coming back and pouring it out, dangerously close to the creamy-white colored seats.

“Like I care~ I ruined seats like these with other stuff before!” grinned Everlong sitting back without a care in the world.

“Hah!” clapped Aoi and now it had a faint voice as her eyes flashed “I got that!”

“Of course you did!” rolled her eyes Hiyori as she also decided to enjoy it and poured to herself from the bottle “Why Europe?” asked, leaning back in the big seat of hers, almost disappearing inside of it.

“Because it has the most history if it comes to stuff like this.” answered after a bit of a pause, enjoying the taste “We are going to land in the Reich’s territory, named the Pannonia Province. From then on we are going to travel south-east into the Principality of Transylvania.”

“Ah, are we going to visit Dracula?” asked Aoi with a surprised voice and even though Hiyori tried to remain calm, her first thought was the same.

“Why would we try to visit a fictional character?” asked back with a flat tone “No, we are going to one of the Sigil Bearer’s main headquarters, nestled in the depths of the Carpathian Mountains.”

“Oh…” nodded both of them with a bit of disappointment, tangible in their tone.

“Vampires don't exist.” smiled Everlong, watching their faces “Their stories are nothing but the distortion of the truth.”

“What truth?” asked the two at the same time as their ears perked upwards.

“Possession. There were people, possessed by demons, eating humans, tearing them apart as ferocious beasts, or as we started to call them, werewolves. There were people, possessed by demons, drinking blood, bathing in it, the basis of the first vampire stories. Anyway, what you would call a vampire is nothing more but a demon inhabiting a human body. It is that simple.”

“Oh!” nodded the duo at the same time, listening to him.

“That place is old, surviving multiple tribulations throughout the times. Right now they are part of the Reich but they have a bit more of an autonomy that is granted to them for one reason only; One of the biggest Sigil Bearer families calls the region their home, the Rákoczi family. I maintained a good relationship with them to this day so they are going to help us out this time, regarding you, Aoi.”

“Thank you!” said, bowing a little, with an honest smile appearing on her face.

“Your revolver…” murmured Hiyori, thinking about it, seeing Everlong nod, happy that she remembered.

“For now just relax and enjoy the flight. I may have a friendly tie with the family, that does not mean those Sigilites are also friendly towards me~”
