That night the brotherhood composed of all the named and some others reunited in a single division under my watch and Rubia's request.
None of them looked happy, in fact, only Timo lacked a glare to his expression. As much as he had been sheltered due to his age, tonight was an exception, even for myself who shared similar caring.
"It's nice to meet you successor, I'm Robin, one of hunter partners." Unlike our eldest brother this man looked like he was built agile, keeping a dagger in each side of his waist. Hunter had told me that strong men use big weapons, but they weren't necessarily the ones winning all the fights.
"It's nice to meet you too. I'm Aura, the apprentice." A sad expression was portrayed in my face from the recent occurrences.
The man nodded and upon taking a quick glance towards everyone present, he began leading the reunion. "I believe that you may very well reach our master level one day, however, right now we should focus on survival."
I nodded silently, knowing fully well that wouldn't happen anytime soon as I was still stuck at mastering the tier one spell.
Rubia who was growing impatient stared at him, opening her mouth in the process, "taking the obvious aside, what are you trying to suggest?"
He snickered an evil smile looking at her from eyes to breasts, staying there for a moment before returning to the original position. "Certainly, to name the next in command someone capable of getting things done."
The young woman clicked her tongue. 'If there's someone meant to become the leader, you're the last on the line.' She kept such words to herself to avoid a direct friction between them.
"Older is wiser, like master." Unexpectedly mushroom boy spoke, surprising those around, especially me.
'What a brave kid.' I thought to myself, after all, he was courageous in his own ways, possibly due to his age and innocence. To support him, I consented with similar words, causing a reaction to those around that nodded their heads in agreement, causing Robin to make a dissatisfied expression.
"I'm not a leader type." As if to betray our expectations hunter complained, not willing to compromise.
"It would be only till the master returns," Fafia added desperately thinking about the children, not wanting Robin to rise in power.
I noticed the cold way my sisters gazed at Robin, and how that feeling seemed to be shared by him in return towards them. It felt strange and I couldn't understand what was going on, but as much as I wanted to do something I didn't have enough power or knowledge once more. At the very least it felt frustrating and I hated myself for it. I ended up sighing causing them to shift their focus on me.
"Why don't you go for it Aura? I'm sure everyone here could teach you what to do." Misa winked in a discreetly way which made me open my mouth a little bit, keeping the realization of that to myself.
"The master did entrusted you guys to me. I know I wasn't supposed to take care of you all this early on, but if you were to assist me, I'm sure we could survive." I glanced towards everyone watching them nod at me as I do, excluding Robin who had a dumbfounded look.
'Great job Misa!' This thought resonated on the young women side, knowing just how much of a playboy Robin could be.
Without giving a chance for anyone to retaliate, Yone added. "Those who vote yes, raise your hands."
At that moment Robin became upset at how everyone approved except himself. This caused him to sigh and raise both hands in the air. "Aye, aye. I surrender."
With this the tension inside the room alleviated between all of us, especially Rubia who looked like she was about to incinerate him.
"Robin could you go look after master and keep us informed about his whereabouts and situation?" He looked at me with a different glitter in his eyes as if his opinion on my person changed, causing a smirk to pass through his lips, along with his tongue, wetting the lower one.
"Is that an order?" His question came out in a provocative manner to which I smiled kindly before replying.
"Yes, that would be the most important task at hand as it'll impact our long term survival." I crossed my arms into one another while straightening my back.
"The kid does have a good point." Hearing the unexpected backup coming from hunter made my mind relax. I figured I'd send this person the furthest away as something felt out of place ever since he began the conversation.
"Very well." He clicked his tongue as he got up, leaving the room. Not even a minute later a sound of something being hit reached us, but none of us dared to go outside to check.
I looked at my sister's who sighed in frustration. A face I didn't see often, especially when the target of the matter was Rubia. "In what comes to money we can use the master savings for food. Don't think we'll run out of it anytime soon. The main problem would be the missions."
"Indeed Rubia, but in what comes to missions, I don't think we'll have any to do with the current distrust from his highness, and the nobles around him." Hunter placed his chin on top of his right hand, making a bored look.
"We have renown across the kingdom of our own, I'm sure we'll manage to find some work." Misa pointed at herself and Yone.
"Do we have enough food and water for everyone without spending money?" Fafia spoke in a way to ascertain if we were self sustaining, to the extent of at the very least not starving at some point.
"It would be better in some seasons than others, but ultimately, we have way too many mouths to feed." Rubia sighed once more realizing how complicated their lives became with the absence of our master.
"Guess we'll have to expand our food sources," I added innocently, mainly from not wanting anyone to starve, and if there was a way to achieve that then eventually everything would work out, having that as a base.
"We could start by expanding the cereal fields, and putting more unnamed working on that, and Aura you can aid them by producing water even if not much, it'll still make a difference." Rubia's words made me smile joyfully, knowing that despite my daily limit, it was still something I had to do as part of my training. I felt like they could count on me, and by no means did I want them to be let down. I felt determined to survive this crisis. I rose my hand thumb at her, agreeing completely with her words.

"As for the missions..." Hunter made a pause muttering softly as if thinking while gazing on my way. "I guess, you'll be able to tag along so you learn more about what we do."
I nodded lightly with a serious expression, containing the excitement inside, causing the key in my new necklace to make a sound. Soon my hand grabbed it while my eyes befell, and I wondered what would it open. 'Should I ask them?' A glimpse I took their way, noticing they were discussing some important stuff regarding merchants thus I decided to wait for a different time.
Like this the night went on and the following one among many others went by.
"Aura we're here." My eyes scorned at the wagon's window, at the brightness beyond the thin white curtains, at the villagers who scolded their children and dogs. At the tiny girl who rode a donkey, and towards the man who woke me up.
A neigh resounded, the horses halted, and in a way so did we. The brute in front of me, whom we called Nubi, opened the door, going through it.
"Let's move." Hunter, yet another muscled figure signaled me to follow him.
The three of us, were going towards my first mission. After receiving news of our master trial, my feet had taken me to newer places, towards other dangers. I no longer had the freedom to grow slowly, that had been robbed of me.
The warmth outside spoke of upcoming sweat, from my armpits to the line of my back. Thus to avoid this I hid myself into the ceremonial robe that was meant to be, the day I became his official successor. A silver silky fabric of the highest quality, capable of hiding my dreadful hair, and part of my face.
Through the exit I left, following hunters wide back, placing a hand on top of his right shoulder to not trip on the small wooden steps that led me to the ground.
"Dusty..." Like a desert the road looked like nothing would ever been born there, having thousands of daily steps going back and forth. Even the most resilient plant would be stomped to death in no time.
"This way," Nubi said.
My eyes noticed his teeth so pearly white, incorporated in a soot-black face. A man from the Nigeria island, a wasteland of a place surrounded by water, hosting many, as many as a hundred who could possibly fit in such a small place. Few were the isles that remained around the continent, but in them, ancient tribes persisted.
We followed through the narrow alley he guided us to, at the end, more steps, this time to a higher level. A door, old and brown, a dark toned one with holes here and there.
'I bet a kick from either of them would bring it down,' I smirked at my thought, as either of my brothers could do a lot more than that.
And, Timothy opened it by the handle without as much as holding hesitation towards it.
"Be careful now," Nubi added, tightening his fist in anticipation.
From his words my amusement died, and I hastened to illuminate my left hand in blue hues.
"It's locked," the hunter added, glancing at us, nodding swiftly.
"Ram it down before she escapes!" The other men shouted, causing the hunter to get into auction tackling the door down, falling with it on the floor.
An enticing voice came from within, "no knocking?" A woman with four men inside around a table was now visible, signaling for those around her to attack us, by raising her hand in the air. Before they even had a chance to leave their seats, the Nubi swiftly moved in the middle of two, holding their heads.
The following moment was not kind, but damn, how beautiful it was. The sound of two heads cracking onto one another, of blood pouring through their broken noses, and swelled foreheads.
"Guards!" She screamed terrorized from this man's strength. From the upper floor movement could be heard, alerting ourselves that they were far more than what we were ready for.
"Shit!" Timothy cursed, looking at me while taking out his axe," escape!"
I felt the tremors approaching, as the Nubi and hunter assaulted the men in front of them.
'If I leave...' my icy eyes glanced at them, seeing how they'd be tortured after being caught, my hand shook, fear seeping into my mind. But my right one held my trembling one.
"Something..." I muttered as blood flew between the men in front. Two now being unconscious on the tarnished wooden floor.
The book I read, recollections about how numbers always win in armies.
'Numbers!' I yelled in my mind, pointing my hand at the stairs the reinforcements would have to go through.
"I seek a flow to form a spirit, tier 1 water creation," I shot all of it towards the stairs, next to the woman, her eyes widened surprised.
"Magic!?" She took out a dagger from her waistline, and in no time she threw it at me.
