REI saw that none of the three orcs followed them.
Probably the effect of the title he got from the trial. With the orcs’
instinctive fear towards him, they would definitely choose to attack others
instead of him.
This was actually not too good for him. How could he be a
bad Samaritan if these orcs didn’t attack them? He looked around and saw that
five of the six of Zach's followers had followed them. He smiled inwardly. Good. With these many
people, even with his presence, those orcs surely wouldn’t be able to resist
attacking them.
As soon as he thought of that, two orcs appeared in front
of them. Rei let go of Zach’s back collar he’s holding. Because he suddenly let
go, the force pushed the other forward. Towards the direction of one of the
orcs, of course.
Zach was too surprised that he couldn’t stop his momentum
forward. One of the orcs was already in front of him and raising its club. He
dodged, but just barely. That did not deter the orc and was about to hit him
again with its club. It just so happened that one of his cronies was nearby. When
the other saw him about to be hit by the club, as if on trance, he rushed in
front of Zach and took the hit.
The club hit the side of the man and it threw the other
at a fast speed, hitting a tree. Zach didn’t care about that and quickly stood
up to run towards one of his cronies. Once they saw him in trouble, they would
definitely do their best to protect him. Just like that guy earlier.
But before he could run, the orc trying to attack him
howled in pain. He looked back and saw that both eyes of the orc were now
destroyed. He turned back and saw that guy Zero pointing his gun at the orc.
Zach almost forgot about this guy. He was actually quite
annoyed earlier when the other suddenly let go of him, causing him to be pushed
towards the orc. But he didn’t have time to think much about it because he was
too busy dodging.
He watched as Zero ran forward towards the howling orc.
The other first jumped into the club that the orc was swinging around. Then,
using that momentum, he jumped to the orc’s shoulder. Holding the orc’s head,
he pointed the gun at its ear. A couple of shots were heard. The orc stopped
moving and fell down. Zero jumped down at the same time.
Seeing the other’s series of actions, the annoyance he
felt earlier disappeared without a trace. He wanted to celebrate. He really hit
a jackpot with this one.
When he heard the other’s ability earlier, he didn’t
think of it much. Wasn’t it just shooting targets? But now that he saw the
other in action, he realized he was still too immature with his thinking.

If it was that ability alone, it would hardly be enough.
But if combined with high athleticism, then it would be another matter.
He should gather more people like this. Not the useless
ones that he had gathered so far. So, what if these people were stronger than
him? With his ability, they had no choice but to follow his words and treat him
like a boss. Eventually, it would not be impossible to dominate this world.
Who would have thought that he would gain such an ability
after manipulating people to successfully passed that trial? If he wanted to
not only survive in this world but also be one of the people at the top of the
food chain, then he had to use his ability to the extreme.
He stood up and walked towards Zero. When he was just a
few steps away, the other suddenly pushed him to the side. He watched as Zero
raised his gun and shot. Zach turned towards the remaining orc and saw that its eyes
were ruined again. Just like how he dispatched of the other orc earlier, he
jumped on its club and shot at the inside of its ear again.
Zach glanced at Zero. This time, he was even more
determined to have more control over the other.
He walked towards Zero and squeezed the other’s shoulder.
“After you kill eight more orcs, don’t completely kill the others that would
come after. Let me have the last kill.”
The same blank expression appeared on Zero’s face. Before
the other answered, “Okay.”
That’s what Rei saw in front of him right after he
answered Zach. He raised his brow. Rei didn’t expect that there would be a
tracking of the target’s trust. He wondered if this was a onetime thing for
this tutorial or if it’s permanent.
Anyway, since he already had 50% of the other’s trust, he
only needed to work a bit more to butter up this jerk. Then he could kick this
self-important bastard to the curb.
