Chapter 17: A meeting

I looked at the king's vassals as they also stared at me with quite the interest. The maids did too great of a job, as all their eyes had a strange and uncomfortable leeriness to them. Some smiled at me as some licked at their lips, it was a strange thing to witness with some of the older humans. The table sat over fifteen people. Drogan told me his father had a ton of vassals, but most were stuck in their territories because of harsh travel conditions or too far of a journey from their family and people.

The ones at the table with us either had homes in the capital city or lived close by, that it took either one or two days to travel or a few hours. I turned my head to look at the king slightly with worry with how he acted before he then collected himself and looked to his men with a complete authority look to his face making all his men look at him with slight fear.

“ Now gentlemen I know you all are very curious who this truly sweet and lovely young woman is, I want you all to kindly welcome a new member to the royal family her eminence dragon goddess Bone, a few days ago she received a magical potion that helped her shap-shift into a human, as you can see she still has remnants of her former self still attached to her new form.” He spoke with a soft smile on his face as he introduced me to his men.

They all clapped and cheered at the success of my new transformation. I smiled softly as I sat in my seat while Drogan clasped his hand over my mine in reassurance. I felt better with that as most had questions for me. 

“ How old is she?”

“ Will she stay forever?”

“ shall she be named a princess?”

“ What about the holy temple? Will she be their Saintess?”

“ She must be reintroduced to the kingdom”

“ Can her dragons change form as well?”

“ What about her magic will the magic tower need her and her wisdom?”

“ Will she be educated? Will she be sent to the academy to learn like us?” 

They all talked over and above each other, asking many questions seeking answers for everything. King Atlas lifted a hand making them all return to silence.

“ I'll answer a few but only Bone has the true answers you are looking for. Yes she will be staying with us now, so she will have an education, she will have her debutante in two years the same day that Prince Drogan shall be named Crown Prince, no she will not be named princess, she is above the royal family to take such a title she is a goddess, she has the same equivalent authority as the queen and I do, so if there isn’t something she likes then change it. Yes if she wants to she can take on royal duties as the queen and I do and what our son will do after he gets his title. She as a goddess is busy with her heavenly deeds. She has other planets and worlds to make so she will need an astrology room. I'm sure that can be arranged quickly with one of my many empty rooms. The rooms she is and will be using will all be temporary as there will be a new palace to be built for her with all her accommodations, I’m sure no-one would object to our goddess being comfortable while she stays with us for as long as she likes to!” King Atlas stared down at his vassals, his bright iris eyes glowed with sovereign authority. He spoke with such vigor and insight as to how everyone would react.

The men all nodded softly as one then stood up and bowed at the royals then at me as well, the king nodded as if giving him the rights to freely speak on his mind

“ I..hmm.... I think everyone here….. is wondering quite the same thing that’s on my mind..” a tall yet frail looking graying man spoke with a stuttering hoarse voice. Most of the others looked with a knowing glance at me then at Drogan, the queen caught on a little too late as the question was asked

“ Will Prince Drogan be wedded to Bone when he is of age ?” He asked as the queen’s face twisted with rage 

“ How dare you ask such a horrible sick question!” She snarled as she stood up slamming her hands onto the table while the king frowned with disdain.

“ She is being adopted into the royal family as like a daughter to us and you ask such a rude question! She is above all of us and she blesses us with her time and this new body as a gift to live amongst us and you ask if a goddess shall be wed to a human? Right in front of her no less have you no shame!? A divine deity who has many children of her own without the need of a partner doesn’t that show you that she is truly above us?“  She flew into a venomous outrage 

I went to her and hugged her tightly. I knew it was her motherly emotions getting the best of her, yet she did have somewhat of a valid point. I didn’t understand the concept of a mating ritual nor of marriage, I as a goddess already had what I needed to make my children. 

Gods could fall in love with their creations and have children many have, but some of those children would either come out to being a demigod or just normal looking and both lived a longer lifespan than their non god parent and demigods had godlike powers the normal looking child would have super senses such as strength, speed, eyesight, hearing, taste, smell, and a strong sense of something gone awry.

Gods could even fall in love with each other just like Sister Death and Brother Life, Lumanier and Atlanta, and many others. One of two things could happen if gods made love with each other, one would result in a child that was made from the two or the two gods would form into an entirely new kind of god with a mixture of both powers.

The man looked nervous as I held the queen, I looked over her gently to help her calm down from this. The king looked very angry as Drogan just kept an emotionless look on his face.

“ Your highnesses I truly didn’t mean any harm to my words please forgive me!” He bowed low as his voice filled with anxiety 

I helped her sit down and softly petted her head, being mindful of the work done to her hair. I looked over to the graying old man and sighed

 “ Little child I have not been here long to understand the ways of your people nor how you creatures view one another in your daily lives, but I have been here long enough to understand that this place is in dire need of stability. As this planets' goddess and creator I’m staying here to live amongst you all to study you creatures. As well as making friends as my children are doing. I want to learn all your customs and culture, as all I want for my planet is to pass on peace and love.” 

I gave a small speech on how I only wanted to understand these creatures and their way of life. They were very interesting and I’ve missed out on truly living with them when I arrived oh so long ago. I wasn’t here to find a mate, it wasn't a goal I had in mind at all for the moment.

The vassals looked ashamed and disappointed, yet none brought anything further up, I then heard a small tapping sound as the doors to the dining area burst open, I turned towards the sound as the words were spoken.

“ Sire! Dragons, there are a lot of Dragons all over the castle !” The voice spoke with bewilderment 

I opened the glass doors to the outside and laughed with pure delight as I saw many of my children big and small flying around and hanging off the castle all waiting to see my new form.

“ It’s true!”

 “ Momma is beautiful!”

“ Momma is so small!”

“ Is mama staying here forever? Will we see mommy all the time ?”

Many of my children crowded me, nuzzling and purring as they all spoke over one another. They looked so happy to see me as I felt seeing them, as if my emotions were shared with them.

“ Yes my sweet children I'll be staying here for a while but do not fret, the sister planet Glenti is still being worked on, I will open the gates once your brethren have been born onto it.” 

I smiled softly at them as most roared with glee and then flew off leaving still quite a number lingering. I then felt small hands touching my side. I looked to see Drogan staring with amazement as those who still lingered looked at him and bowed their heads lower to get a good sniff of him.

He giggled as he reached out his hand, a white snout lovingly nuzzled into his palm. I watched as a white and purple dragon started to bond with the prince. It was a lovely sight to see, his silver eyes softened as he nuzzled into the prince’s hand more. A dragon of light and spacial magic.

Drogan looked enamored with this new creature that tenderly and carefully nudged its snout into his hand, it had soft skin around its face, white feathers and purple fur in large patches around its body, their eyes a bright and beautiful silver color, and their wings looked bat like, two large wings that it used to walk on as it only had four limbs and not the six as he saw some dragons have. Its tail ended in what looked like purple and white fire but also matched Bone's stardusted hair when the light of her star hit it at the right angle.

“ Draxkus!” He spoke softly giving his bonded dragon a name.
